Makeup doesn't have to be fancy. I'm so happy to see the days gone where drugstore makeup really looked atrocious. So glad to not have to go and choose just one thing from the Clinique counter (because it was the least pricey at the time) help your makeup when it really didn't, but we all have that mint green compact didn't we girls? So dang glad to see more affordable brands coming into Sephora and indie brands making a huge impact thanks to online availability. So I compiled a list of my least expensive but favorite products for as many category's as I could. I think I pretty much have them all. Starting with foundation: Elf Foundation $6 and it has pump packaging Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation. Also around $6 I think (look for coupons though!) weird applicator but none the less a really good foundation. Powder: Wet n Wild Photo Focus powder (one of the only ones I like) Concealer: Catrice concealers. I think they're water proof. They are full coverage and they are awesome. Wet N Wild Photo Focus concealer. Some don't like this but I really did. It's a thicker concealer though. Bronzer: Elf Bronzer Palette. You get 4 shades and you can't really go wrong. Models Own Sculpt and Glow cream to powder bronzer it's around $10 but it's a huge pan! Blush: Makeup Revolution Blush Palettes (not the baked ones) You get 8 shades and they all have wonderful pigment. Elf Blush Palette. You get 4 blush shades and they also offer it in some really deep shades as well which I appreciate. Highlight: Wet N Wild Cushion Highlight in Pearl (apply with sponge) Wet N Wild Mega Glow Illuminator (I like Blossom Glow but they have other shades) Elf Baked Highlight Sleek Solstice Palette Eye Shadow: JD Glow the pans are huge and they're $7 a shadow I think? You can't go wrong and you can not beat the pigment I promise you that. Elf Palettes really nice every day go to. Wet N Wild they're always had really good every day trios and quads. Also their eye primer is nice. Colour Pop palettes are always a good choice and they go on sale frequently. You can also build your own. Liner: Liner is really personal preference. I never spend a lot on a crayon liner. Liquid liner has a lot of factors including the applicator tip, the formula, the finish, how it goes on, so on. So for me: Wet N Wild has a good liquid liner Skinny Liquid Liner. Loreal Carbon black is a nice felt tip pen but those are getting to be more and more expensive everytime I go to the store. Maybelline Gel Liner in black. Side note if you have products like this that get a little dried out or hard to work with add in a drop of facial oil and that will help you work with it easier. Lashes: Mascara I use Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black or Voluminous Lash Paradise and I always get the blackest black. I wear false lashes often so my faves are the Kiss Faux Mink lashes. They're about $5 a pair but I re-use mine and take very good care of them so that I can re-use them. Ardell is cheaper and so are some others but the Faux Mink line from Kiss just looks so much nicer and easier for me to work with. Brows: Elf Brow Pencil. It's really the only one I like from the drugstore and it's around $2. Lips:
I'm a liquid lipstick person so I would go with Colour Pop Satin Liquid Lips. I also tend to like the Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuits For lipliner I am a Jordana fan they're $2 you can't beat it, but if you need a big color selection Color Pop lip liners are really nice and I think they're $5.
