Welcome to the Allure box for August. I think I missed last month's but I am here to talk about the box for August. So let's jump into it right quick. So this month the box is "worth over $100" and there's some brands I've not seen before. There's also some brands I'm familiar with but I've not seen them use before and I'm excited about that.
Pixi Rose Oil Blend Nourishing Face Oil. This is full size. It's a newer product to Pixi because in the last year or so, they've been really expanding their skincare line. They are a more affordable brand. It's a pretty solid brand and easy to get your hands on. I love facial oils. I am all about feeding the face. Oils is in my opinion the best way to do that. So this is 1 oz. It's a hydrating oil blend of rose geranium, pomegranate, orange peel, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, etc. You can use an oil as your moisturizer, or add it with your moisturizer. This is a subtle smell of rose, quite soothing, and obviously hydrating. So, great addition to the box. Floss Brighten Up Highlighter in "Sunlit". I enjoy Floss glosses so much which I got through Allure boxes but I'm happy to try another product from them. This is also a full size product. The texture is strange. While I was swatching it, at first it felt like a velvet-y powder but the more I swatched it it felt like a cream. It says it's a "pressed powder" but I'm telling you this is soooo soft and creamy. This is duo-chrome in the pan it looks white-ish/champagne and as the light hits it, it's quite gold and a hint of pink shimmer almost. I don't know how they done this. It's genius. I'm so amazed by it. It's super pigmented. Erno Laszlo Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar. I am very familiar with Erno Laszlo, I love them very much. I was unaware that this was their hero product and cult favorite. It's referred to on the packaging as "The Famous Black Soap". I've never used a solid bar soap facial cleanser. I'm not sure if this is full size or not. I feel like it probably is, since it's a facial cleanser. It's 1.7 oz or 50 grams. I've not tried it yet. I think it's interesting though. I'd love to see some of their other products in the box because they've really got some amazing products throughout the entire brand. Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum. This is a deluxe sample size. It's 8 ml. This is Korean skincare which is always playing on a different level. They KNOW what they're doing with skin. This has five Korean Herbs: Peony, Lotus, Rehmannia, Solomon's Seal, and White Lily. It hydrates, brightens, and firms the skin. Even though it's a sample size it still comes with pump packaging. I've tried one product from this brand. I can't wait to try this as well. H2O + Hydration Sensitive Gel Cream Moisturizer. Another deluxe sample being in a 10 ml squeeze tube. This apparently does well with oily skin, stressed skin, redness, and does the job for soothing and calming the skin. This formula houses squalane, hyssop, and chamomile. It's oil free. Obviously designed for sensitive skin. Whish Botanical Primer. This is a really good size sample that is .75 oz or 22 ml. It has bakuchiol which I found interesting, many people call that the natural plant "alternative" to retinol but I tend to disagree some. I like bakuchiol very much but I wouldn't put it on the same page as retinol at all. It also has argan oil, and aloe. It's definitely got the oil, you need to try and shake it but you'll likely still get oil leaking out. I would only use it if you were extremely dry and/or dehydrated. I do not understand this as a primer. Looks & Meii Brightening Lift Up Perfect Fit Mask. This is a sheet mask. It's Korean skincare. The packaging is so artsy, abstract, and cool. I want to just display it actually cause it looks so interesting. This is a mask that's "super stretchy" material that is supposed to keep it from sliding. It's niacinamide, vitamin c, and a lot of floral extracts. It's supposed to be quite brightening and refreshing. I'm happy to see it in the box. That's the end of the box. It was a good one in my opinion. As always with the little booklet you get promo codes and breakdowns of each product. These are sent to me. Thank you Allure for sending them out. Thank you guys for reading. I love you. Stay safe.
