Today's makeup is super easy and quick. I've been getting organized for prom all day today so therefore the makeup was quick and to the point. Also monochromatic apparently. This is a great spring look though and it's very fresh looking I think. Perfect for summer nights, or for teens just trying makeup just substitute the lashes for mascara.

So it's prom and you've decided to do you're makeup yourself or are forced to do your makeup yourself. So in this post I'm gonna give you some easy full proof ways to get really nice makeup without having a panic attack.
I hope you picked up something helpful from this post and if you're going to prom have a fun SAFE time. Today's makeup actually turned into a opalescent type look which I really loved. Again you'll see my love affair with Sugar Pill Lumi pigment in this. Cause I freaking love it people. Eyes: MUG: Corrupt, Pixie Dust, Shark Bait ABH: Violet, Blanc, and Dusty Rose Colour Pop: Dare in the center Sugar Pill: Lumi all over lid *from outer lid to inner lid it's Corrupt, Violet and Blanc then on top of that its Dare and then Pixie Dust then Mary Louminizer with Lumi over top the lid. *lower lashline is pixie dust and shark bait over it which makes a really nice grass green color. If you want to add a little more darkness in the corner you can, I did, but you don't have to. Lumi is also on the lower lash line. ABH Dip brow Luxy Lashes: Hollyhood Face: I tried a new routine to see what holds up the best as far as oil control and just general wear. Even though I'm not incredibly oily. Primer: dr Jart pore minishing primer then Benefit 15 hour primer over top Lioele BB cream used lightly Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation RCMA VK 11 palette to contour NYX HD Concealer in Yellow Colour Pop on Rain The Balm Mary Louminizer ABH Contour kit to set contour and set full face MAC Fix + which I do not recommend if you were oily but I used it because I was looking cakey and really having some texture issues. Lips: Gerard Cosmetics Buttercup over concealer on the lips to make it more pale. *also I used toofaced glitter glue first and then put shadow insurance over it to really lock in the shadow because just the primer was not working. Because I done it this want though I put Blanc all over the eye area to make blending easier. And even then it took a little extra time to blend but I was trying it to see how it held up with creasing for extremely oily lids. Which I actually do have. This actually did seem to help. So all in all this did hold up well. It's not something to do if you're dry so keep that in mind but it does help if you're oily. Prom season is upon us and instead of doing a bunch of looks for prom I figured I'd go through some I've already done. Which then led me to group them into categories of what color you might be wearing to prom. First off, I never feel like your eyeshadow has to match your outfit but if you're more comfortable doing that or prefer it that way then this post is for you. You can add or take away to tweak this to your liking as well. It's just makeup, it washes right off. First up is blue and green dresses. These 4 looks I chose would look great with a blue or green dress no matter the intensity of the color whether it's dark or pale i believe one of these may work for you. A popular color around prom is purple. So I chose these to go with your purple dress. The last would could also work for a green dress too. Do be afraid to add a pop of color or glitter to the eye in a color that your not wearing. It can be very eye catching and flattering at times. Next we have your Reds, Pale Pink, Hot Pink, and Burgundys. You know how much I love cranberry and burgundy shades so there was a ton of looks for that. Pink on the other hand can be intimidating but I find that most of the time it can be very flattering and pretty. Moving onto orange and coral tones. Which I don't remember seeing a lot of at my prom, and I don't know why cause it can be so pretty. I realized I actually use a lot of orange and coral shadows. They're very flattering I think. The last two pictures would go well with a purple dress too. Also, rose gold shadows and glitters look amazing with these looks if you want to add a little more sparkle. This last set is for those timeless dresses like gold, black, white, silver and so on. It's also completely neutral incase what you're looking for is glamorous but neutral. Which when in doubt is what I would do. I'd do false lashes and a neutral eye with a mauve lip and call it a day. If it were me that is. You do whatever you're comfortable with. These looks are all on my Instagram with details of what specific shadows I used. My IG is @lovemascara so go follow me and if you're going to prom BE SAFE and have a fun time! Greetings everyone! Since we're getting into warmer months, it's the season for proms and weddings. Now, my wedding was a fall wedding in October but my best friend's was in June that same year and most weddings are typically in the warmer months. As a matter of fact I have once coming up at the end of this month actually. So I wanted to go over some things that I've found were necessary and helpful for special things. So lets get into it:
Red Cherry 213's As you probably already know I love lashes. My lashes are thin and short so to make my makeup really look pulled together for heavier looks I always use false lashes. I don't wear lashes when it's a super simple look though mind you but if I'm going out or going to a event or whatever I got the whole nine yards.
Lena Lashes "Elle" Ardell Wispies Lucy Lash "Hollyhood" Lena Lashes Bianca Luxy Lash "Woke Up Like This" This week my stand out product is Luxy Lash style HOLLYHOOD. Really really love these and didn't think I would but they actually are the perfect lash when I want just a little drama. There's an entire post about them so I won't keep you but check them out for yourself. Have a great week. I received a new package from Colour Pop today with three new lippie pencils and two of the newly released Super Shock Cheeks which is their blush. The colors I got were:
Lippie Pencil (Top to Bottom): Cake Tipsy Fetch Super Shock Cheek (Top and Bottom): Clutch Rain The lippie pencils I got because you know how much I love the lip pencils. The only color that I got that was different from what I had was Cake. It's a pale peach color. Which I'm super excited about. The next color I got was somewhat of a surprise, Tipsy. I thought it would be just a darker peachy color when actually its much darker that it's more brown than anything. Not as dark as Pitch but very close to Brink only like I said more brown where Brink is more mauve. Fetch is a muted strawberry. It's very wearable and could be an everyday color I think. Punky is a bit brighter than this. Actually a lot brighter so I'm very pleased with Fetch. I'm going to do a Colour Pop lippie pencil collection of lip swatches now that I have these three. I have 12 all together so I think it's a pretty good amount to do a collection post about them. The blushes are much different than I expected. These are $8 where everything else is $5 on the site. Not that I care because that is still a great buy. These can be applied with your fingers or a synthetic brush. I thought these would be much like the shadows which feel more wet and thin while being incredibly pigmented. They're actually more of a gel consistency I think and a little thicker when swatched. Also they go on a little more subtle and less intense than what you would imagine which I absolutely love. I got two of the brightest shades just to see what we were working with and I'm very pleased by it. They have a really nice selection of colors too from pale to bright and dark. Also from barely any color pinks and peaches to vibrant purple, fuchsia, and electric orange shades. So literally something for whatever you're looking for. Today's look is really smokey and intense. It's definitely something Id wear on a summer night. It reminds me a little of a sunset. I love this a lot. Eyes: Coastal Scents: Maroon Berry, Vibrant Plum, Dark Mango, MAC Cosmetics Rose Gold Pigment center of the lid and lower lashline ABH Electro on the lower lashline underneath vibrant plum ABH Dip Brow Face: NARS: All Day Luminous Foundation NARS Fervor blush ABH Contour Kit Stila Duo Shimmer in Kitten Lips: Gerard Cosmetics Butter Cup This look is super super bright even for me. I also look quite pale in this too. None the less I didn't want it to go to waste so I felt I should share it anyway. This is basically entirely Colour Pop as far as the color goes. Which was another reason for posting it.
