Orange Gradient Shimmer Using eyeshadows Makeup Geek: Chickadee Corrupt After Glow pigment Coastal Scents shadow pots: Oktoberfest Pumpkin pie Chocolatier Dark Mango Makeup Geek and Coastal Scents Individual Shadows
This is a full side of a mac dual pro palette. I bought this palette instead of the z palette cause it was cheaper and could hold more. I did reinforce it though with extra magnetic sheets in the bottom. The first row is Coastal Scents and the next two are Makeup Geek with the exclusion of an Urban Decay shadow I didn’t want to move just yet. Coastal Scents top-bottom Maroon Berry Dark Mango Pumpkin Pie Chocolatier Oktoberfest Light Taupe *these are fantastic. The pigment the transfer the blending I can’t complain. They’re $1.95 a pc and they do have sales on them when they’re .99 cents. These are all matte that I got. I’m going to order more. I will say that these are better formula than the pre made palettes I think. Shipping is $3 and comes USPS which I like. I got these in about 2 days I think. Makeup Geek top to bottom row 1 Envy Prom Night Hipster Mermaid Mango Tango The next one is Urban Decay Foxy. It doesn’t have a swatch Row 2 Moondust Bitten Peach Smoothie Corrupt Mocha Chickadee *these are different finishes. They are probably my favorite shadows out of ALL that I’ve tried. They $5.99 for a pan which is still very very good. Some of these I have swatched and talked about before but I just wanted to include all the ones I had so far. The swatches on my arm in the third picture are all Makeup Geek. These sell out fast and there’s a few that are out of stock right now but they are restocked fairly quickly. Shipping is usually just $1.99 for USPS which is fantastic and I usually get them in about 2-3 days unless they’re really backed up. Subtle Fall Makeup
Makeup Geek Shadows in Chickadee Corrupt Bitten Mocha Urban Decay Foxy on the lid, Mac Naked pigment over that. Then a touch of Rose Gold pigment where the shadows get darker. Purple Grey Smokey Eye.
Also a little note about building colors to get the correct undertone and shade for the eye look. Using morphe eyeshadows. This eye look was built up to get the color depth that it has. I started in the outer part of the eye and slightly into the crease with a mauvey fuchsia and then on to a dark muted purple on top of that I added shimmery plum and then in the very outer part I used black. You can’t see the black because everything around it is so glowy it just looks like a really deep plum. The rest of the lid has some color from the shadows I laid down first because nothin about a smokey eye is very defined so though I didn’t focus color there first as I blended it had color on it which a was completely fine. The color on the actual lid is a grey purple. Very shimmery and definitely has more purple than grey but you can see both of them. The crease has Peach Smoothie in it as transition then I blended really really well before adding Mango Tango cause I didn’t want the dark color to blow too far out. The Mango Tango just brings out that fuchsia I started with. It also just accentuates the purple instead of seeing really dark almost black purples. It helps it look more plum. Transition colors aren’t meant to be noticed exactly, they should help bring out undertones of the whole look as well as blending into the brow highlights. Fall Blushes
Starting from the top MAC Tenderling: this is a light rosy tan blush that is very sculpting which I like because sometimes it’s hard to wear lots of bronzer in the fall. So this is perfect for giving color to the cheeks as well as sculpting them Hourglass Luminous Flush: this is actually a light mauve plum in my opinion. It looks a lot darker in the pan but it’s actually really wearable and universal. The Balm Frat Boy: this blush is really pigmented and most of the time a go to color for me when nothing else works. It’s a neutral pink probably a little on the cooler side of the spectrum. It also blends and applies really nice as well. Makeup Geek Spellbound: this is also I think a neutral pink. It’s a really pretty blush by itself but in the summer it works well with coupled with other colors. I find when you’re paler it’s glowy in the sense it makes you look healthy and not like you’re wearing blush. The first picture it’s top left Tenderling, top right Luminous Flush, bottom left Frat Boy, bottom right Spellbound. Same goes for the 2nd picture top-bottom Tenderling, Luminous Flush, Frat Boy, Spellbound Collective Haul.
Over the last month I’ve gotten some new products and freebies so I thought I’d do a run down of what I’d got. MAC lipsticks in Faux and Coral Bliss: I got these because I’d cleaned out a bunch of stuff, went through some boxes of junk and found several MAC containers. So I depotted my eyeshadows and a blush to put in a palette and did the “Back 2 MAC” program with the old containers. Faux is a mauvey neutral. Perfect for the whole Kylie Jenner/ 90’s vibe going around and Coral Bliss is like a pale peach. Makeup Geek blush in Spell Bound and pigments in Vegas Lights and Utopia: the blushes came back in stock right after I placed the order for the pigments so I went back and got Spell Bound before it sold out. Spell Bound is a perfect neutral pale pink. It’s not cool toned exactly and not warm at all I just think it’s right in the middle. It’s gorgeous over other blushes and when you’re fair it’s so pretty and glowy by itself. The pigments I had my eye on for a while. I got Utopia because I’d seen so many pictures with it. I’ll be honest when it came I was kinda disappointed cause it was a different color in my head but it’s still gorgeous and looks gorgeous so that’s fine. It’s like a olive based gold I think. Vegas Lights is a fantastic orange/copper. Very pretty for fall and just colorful looks in general. Sephora Lipstains in 07 and 10: 07 is a dark dark berry and 10 is a burgundy straight up. They wear well I love the colors I’m just overall pleased with it. Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara: I got this today. I was just looking for a different mascara to try because mine are nearing their departure and I’d heard good things. I’ve not used it yet though. Jordana Lip Liner in Tawny and Baby Berry: got these today too. I’ve not used them yet but I love Jordana lipliners so I think they’ll be fine. Hourglass Mini Lipgloss in Canvas: this is a orange tinted mauvey/red? Matte lip color. I’ll be honest I don’t like the color. It’s different and I think it’s cool for fall while everyone else is doing these cool toned mauves or brown mauves this seems very different. But I’m not a fan of it on me. Red Cherry Lashes in 213: of course. Dr Jart Black Label Detox Beauty Balm: I love the water fuse bb by them and I must say I love this too. It’s $2 more than the water fuse but it also does more like soothes irritated skin and breakouts while also making them smoother and less noticeable. Along with a whole list of other things. I use this before foundation as I did my other one and it works the same not any better or less. I do however think that my skin is more even now when I take my makeup off not saying it’s from this but I noticed it last night especially. Origins High Potency Night a mins, Ginzing Moisturizer, Ginzing eye cream, and Frothy Face Wash: the night cream is really thick and feels very nice I like using it even more than my Argan Oil. The moisturizer I’d been wanting to try but just never had yet and I really like it as well and it seems to be just the right amount of moisture for my skin for the day. The eye cream we all know I love. The face wash I haven’t used and probably won’t cause I don’t switch that up much. I just recently went to Peter Thomas Roth after being loyal to Murad for 2 years and so far so good. I got this set from Sephora for free with my points. I will say it’s a very generous amount so it’s worth looking into. Vampy Plum Makeup
Using Milani Bella Eyes in Taupe and Mandarin. Loreal eyeshadow in Smoldering Plum. Lumikki Cosmetics Pigment in Forbidden Love. Sephora lipstain in 07. Favorite Fall Lip Colors! I’ve been getting into Fall, as if you all couldn’t tell, so I decided to put together my favorite fall lip colors. I won’t ramble so let’s go. From Left to Right for both pics Covergirl Jumbo Stick: Color 270 which I think might be Cocoa Twist but not sure, it doesn’t say on the container. This is a sheer shimmery tan/brown color that’s very universal. Browns tend to scared sometimes but this one is really subtle. MAC lipstick: Color Faux. This is a really nice opaque Mauve. In the pic it looks similar to the Covergirl but I promise they’re very different. This is a really good lipstick for Kylie Jenner lip craze. Sephora Collection Lipstain: 07. This is a very dark eggplant. It’s absolutely stunning. It has little flecks of shimmer in it but drys matte. It’s my favorite thus far. Sephora Collection Lipstain: 10. This is a dark red burgundy again with some flecks of shimmer. Buxom Lip Color: Acapulco. This is a muted lilac I think. It’s not very bold but it’s still noticeable and very purple. Easily an everyday color that’s different from typical colors. Loreal Lip Stain: Berry Persistent. This is a really nice long wearing berry fuchsia color and one of my absolute favorites. Loreal Color Riche Gloss: Nude Ballet. Nude will work all year around. This is the color Kim Kardashian used on her wedding day. It’s slightly darker than you’re typical nude which is why I think it’s a great fall nude. Jordana Lip Liner: Plush Plum. If you’ve paid attention to my fall looks I’ve wore this non stop. It is a really pretty wine color even though it says plum. It’s a lip liner but so smooth it’s easy to use on the whole lip and they’re not expensive at all which is an added bonus. So that’s it. I have another color coming this week but we’ll have to wait and see if it’s gonna be a fall favorite. |
