I've never been the type to do "monthly favorites". I used to do a "fave product of the week" post but I got lazy with that. So I'm just gonna do a mash up of some products that I freaking love as of late. **The image above is from the Sephora site.** So this is the Foreo Mini that I got when my Luna Play went down for the count after like 20 uses (fail). I've actually went ahead and got the even bigger one now as well because I love these so much. My skin texture is what is most noticeable. It's so smooth. This is a 3 area style cleanser. It will pulse when it's time to go to your next area. So how I use it is, I do one cheek, side of the nose and half the chin, then once it pulses I switch to the other cheek and do the same thing, then lastly I do my entire forehead and bridge of the nose. I love this thing. It's rechargeable and lasts for quite a while on a full charge. This is less expensive than the others but it's still pretty expensive. **this picture above is from the Sephora site** I got this in a trio set of Amore Pacific products. This is the Moisture Bound spray. I have a video using the products here from my Instagram. I just like how nice this feels on the skin and how refreshing it is. Plus it smells really good. I also have their mositurizer and their cleanser which also smells amazing but this is the stand out product for me and I use it every night after I've used my Foreo Mini. I usually use it especially if my skin is feeling really sensitive and uncomfortable. It's not super dewy it's a very fine mist. It's a brand you don't hear much about but I think the whole line is at Sephora now. **this picture is also from Sephora's site** I've already done a blog post all about the Benefit brow products that were recently released. I'll leave that link here, it's more in depth. This is the Goof Proof. I've not put it down since I got it though. It's simple to use and it makes it easy for me to both define, sculpt and fill in my brows. It allows so much pigmentation and it doesn't feel heavy on the brows. I got these press on nails from Static Nails on a whim, they weren't very expensive and I just decided to buy them. I don't know why because I've always hated press on nails. These are no joke though. Not at all. I swear these are better than professionally done acrylics. They are even paintable. So if you get tired of the design you can paint them. The only down side is that my glue actually glued the lid shut to it when I used it the first time. So you're supposed to be able to take these off whenever you want and then pop them back on when you want them on again. In my opinion you might get two separate wears out of it. None the less they are awesome. My advice is when you apply them at first just plan on wearing them as long as you can. I did paint mine and the nail polish chipped easily on them. So I don't think painting them is always the best option but maybe on the solid colors it would work better. This is the "Shattered Glass" style. They have others with crystals on them and some with "red bottoms". They're very cool. I've done a whole blog post talking about my devotion to the Jouer Lip Cremes. I'll leave the link here for that. I will eventually have every color because they smell like cupcakes and they're honestly the best liquid lip I've ever used. They are so comfortable and wear so well it's amazing honestly. Lastly, it's not makeup related at all. This was sent to me from Ettika and Free People. I believe it's called the "velvet star choker" and has about 5 shades. I got the tan/camel shade cause well....obviously it's gorgeous. This is my first choker and I love this. It just looks so different. This can be found in Free People stores and on www.freepeople.com.

So recently I got the opportunity to review some new products from The Estee Edit. I have the Pore Vanishing Stick, Beam Team, Flash Illuminator in shade 4 Day Light, and The Barest Lip Color shade 05 In The Buff. So Estee Lauder is known more so for appealing to maybe an older target if you will, even though we all know we love some Double Wear. Don't play, if you don't love it you've at least owned 1 bottle. I'm not kidding Double Wear is the OG of good foundation. Moving on, they have introduced The Estee Edit line which is full of tons of cool and innovative products. When I say innovative I mean it. I shit you not, they have a lip stick transformer (2 actually) that LITERALLY makes doing an ombre lip a piece of cake as well as just making a lip color into something entirely different. It's incredible. They have a ton of new products, I actually viewed them all in store with my friend Edie who works at my Sephora in Knoxville. If you live around here go in and ask for her she really knows what she's talking about. Anyways, from packaging to the line itself it's all REALLY REALLY GOOD. I'm so impressed with what they've done and all I can say is it must have taken a long time to get all of that together because..... it's a lot. So starting with the Pore Vanishing Stick. I love this product. I don't know about you but when I use other pore filling or minimizing products, that you apply before makeup or touch up with, they tend to have that "slip" feeling which is usually from a silicone ingredient and for whatever reason that makes my foundation and makeup slide right off my face. It makes me super oily, it just doesn't work for me. This on the other hand is stick form and thus goes on the skin and then when you touch the skin, after applied, it feels.... like skin. Like you didn't do anything at all to it, but your skin looks smoother or mine did. Now I'm not saying it made every large pore disappear but I was able to wear a ton of highlight and pretty much apply it to my entire face without making my pores look humongous. So I really like this. Now, for whatever reason after I used it my stick started to get bumps in the product which is why I'm not showing you what the product looks like in this post. It's not a big deal but it is something that I feel when I apply it to my skin, I feel the bumps in the stick now when it used to be smooth. So I still use it and love it but just so I'm being honest that has happened to mine. Next is The Beam Team. This is a cool product. This is basically an illuminated cream/moisturizer with a cream poured highlighter on top of the twist off cap. I don't used the highlighter in the cap that much but this cream is so nice. Mine comes out quite golden but when rubbed in, it sinks into the skin and feels good like a really good moisturizer would. I have used this applied after foundation, with foundation and on it's own and I like it every time. I will say that if you don't want specific areas to have some "glow" to them you may want to apply this before foundation or to specific places after foundation. This is also great if you don't want to wear foundation but you still want to look healthy and well....glowing. So days on the beach, lake, or just running errands this is perfect for those "skin focus" kinda days. Next is the Barest Colour lipcolor in 05 In The Buff. This is a sheer to medium, high shine, super creamy neutral lipstick. This shade is actually pretty dark on first glance but swatched it's a medium mauve with a hint of brown. Applied it gives the lips just enough color. No it's not gonna last all day but this is great for those who are running late, don't want to think about it, don't want to worry if your lipstick is jacked up in a meeting, or whatever because it will apply easily but as it fades it will do so unnoticeable. Plus we all carry lipstick in our purse for touch ups anyway. Last is the Flash Illuminator. This comes in a few other shades and my shade is Day Light. I probably wouldn't have picked this color for myself because it has kind of a pink undertone, but this makes great cream blush that can double as a highlight, or be a base for both blush or highlight. Which is actually how I like using it, as a base. I will be honest though and say in general I don't use cream blushes or highlights often. They've never really been my thing but this is a pretty thick formula and beautiful product that does what it should do so I have no complaints as far as how it performs or is made. Below I'm gonna add in some pictures of swatches and me wearing the products. I applied the creams with a damp sponge and you'll see once they're on they just make you look really healthy and glowing. **I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.** Wearing Flash Illuminator in Day Light, the Beam Team all over, and The Barest Lip Colour in 5 In The Buff. Pore Vanishing stick was applied before foundation. Flash Illuminator in 4 Day Light Barest Lipcolour in 5 In The Buff So this is the Beam Team. The color in the lid is not super pigmented, so don't let the color fool you or intimidate you. The color of the cream looks super yellow gold but worked into the skin it's not so yellow gold. Don't let that fool you either.
You can get this at Sephora, Nordstrom, Belk, and Dillards I'm sure. Here's some promos for Sephora. Use Ebates and get you some cash back. Sephora has 8% cash back right now. For VIB and VIB Rouge: Code "3FORVIB" pick three Fresh Minis with a $35 purchase. While supplies last. Code: "Sparkle" for 1 free Summer Essential which there are 4 to choose from. $25 purchase. You can still get 5 samples at check out rather than 3, until July 11th. First Aid Beauty Mask Mini. Code: "Bouncy" with $25 purchase. So as of late, I've loved and I mean LOVED the Jouer Long Wear Lip Cremes. I've been using these for around 2 weeks and I started off with two, then got two more, and then two more. Basically, because simply put they are amazing. From finish, to smell, how they feel and how they wear, they are my new favorite liquid lipsticks of all time. I choose these over ABH, Dose of Colors, Colour Pop, all of them. I feel like they're kind of a hidden gem as well. I hear some chatter about Jouer Cosmetics but not much and not usually about these. I buy mine from Frends Beauty. They are also available on the Jouer website of course, Dermstore (which has a coupon code right now "July4" for 20% off but I'm not positive it'll work on these. Worth a shot anyway), and Nordstrom They are $18, so they're not exactly wallet friendly. However, with Frends Beauty you can sign up for a free membership and get 10% off all your purchases. So while that may not seem like a lot, at least it's something. There are 14 shades in the permanent Lip Creme line I believe, and 4 shades in the limited edition Mermaid line. I have 2 from the Mermaid line and then I have 4 from the permanent line. I'm sure I will eventually own them all because I love them that much. These are the swatches from top to bottom: Unicorn - Mermaid line Daiquiri - Mermaid line Cerise - Lip Creme Melon - Lip Creme Peche - Lip Creme Framboise- Lip Creme Now both lines are liquid lipsticks in my opinion or at least the staying power of liquid lipsticks considering the formula and texture is not liquid. They dry down completely and don't budge. You need to remove these with an oil or oil based remover. I just use an oil to take mine off. This picture was taken right after I swatched them so you could see them wet, The picture below is when they had dried to show if they changed color once dry. Same swatches...only now they're completely dry. So here's what I've noticed. I don't feel like online swatches, like on company websites and what not, give you an accurate idea of the color. I do feel like these swatches on here are more true to color in real life. Except for Cerise. It looks so watermelon, bright and summery in pictures and on camera but I have a picture wearing it here, and you can see that it's basically a cool toned bright red. Which I guess could still be disputed as a watermelon shade but it was just red to me. It's still gorgeous but it was not at all what I expected when I got it.
Next is these literally look like velvet on the lips. All of mine have been super pigmented, not patchy in the slightest and look so smooth and soft texture, wise on the lips. So they don't look like dried up lips. They feel really good as well. Also, they smell like cupcakes. Literally cupcakes with frosting. So if you aren't into that smell or if you don't like heavy fragrance in lip products bear that in mind. They wear really really well. Pretty much like all liquid lipsticks do I guess except for super mousse-y formulas, I find those tend to wear off faster than thinner formulas. Lastly, from the Mermaid line there are two matte finishes and two metallic finishes so I got one of each. I notice with the metallic finish that it does transfer even when completely dried down. Maybe all metallics are like that but I'm not sure. Honestly, I do not like the metallic finish. In general I don't usually go for that, but I definitely don't like a bright or pale metallic finish period or at least I've not found one yet that I like. I do like darker shades in metallic finishes occasionally. Formula wise it was the same as the rest but I just don't like the color or finish. That's just personal preference though I think. Also the Mermaid line is limited edition as a summer launch I'm assuming, and it's very bright colors.....naturally. These are about as tall as a YSL lipstick. So they aren't the slender longer tubes of liquid lipstick like most of the ones you see. Actually, Dose of Colors packaging is taller than these. They are .21oz which is about the same amount in the KVD liquid lipsticks and double the amount of product in ABH liquid lipsticks. So don't let their small packaging fool you, you're still getting a good amount of product. Plus, they are a couple dollars cheaper than those. So that's my thoughts on these. I hope I gave you a hefty amount of information. Like I said these aren't really talked about as much as I feel they should be. Definitely not getting the recognition they deserve in my opinion. I hope this was helpful in some way and have a happy and safe 4th of July! **The picture above is the product picture from Sephora.** So Urban Decay just re-done ALL their lipsticks. A couple months ago they clearanced out their Revolution lipsticks and even the Gwen Stefani lipsticks. I got several of those that were on clearance. They've now realeased 100 lipsticks in new packaging. That's right 100 shades. 20 shades are exclusive to Sephora, some are old favorites and some are brand spankin' new, I want to think they re-formulated but all I can find is that they just upgraded the packaging. There are 6 finishes: 4 Shimmer finish 15 High Shine Finish 14 Metallic Finish 34 Satin Finish 33 Mattes Now some of these are broken down into Comfort Matte, Mega Matte, Cream, Sheer and Sheer Shimmer. I swatched 24 of the most popular shades and I find that the formula, for example on shades Naked and Stark Naked, is not very different from the ones I have in those same shades. I feel the same about the Sheer Anarchy shade. It feels and seems the same as the older one. My favorite formulas are the Comfort Mattes and the Creams. The Mega Mattes are super pigmented but a bit too dry for my liking on some of them. The Metallized formula I'm just not a fan of either because metallic is not my favorite finish. There is one Sheer that I do kinda like which is Snitch. So my faves are: Menace: Comfort Matte Snitch: Sheer Backtalk: Comfort Matte Manic: Cream EZ: Cream Rapture: Cream So here's the complete list with what finish they are and what finish Sephora has them as:
Sheer Anarchy - Sheer, High Shine Finish Jilted - Cream, Satin Finish Firebird - Cream, Satin Finish Psycho - Comfort Matte, Matte Finish Disturbed - Comfort Matte, Matte Finish Manic - Cream, Satin Finish Gash - Cream, Satin Finish EZ - Cream, Satin Finish 714 - Mega Matte, Matte Finish Snitch - Sheer, High Shine Finish Naked - Cream, Satin Finish Conspiracy - Metallized, Metallic Finish Backtalk - Comfort Matte, Matte Finish Rapture - Cream, Satin Finish Stark Naked - Comfort Matte, Matte Amulet - Metallized, Metallic Finish ZZ - Cream, Satin Finish Gubby - Metallized, Metallic Finish Seismic - Sheer Shimmer, Shimmer Finish Menace - Comfort Matte, Matte Finish Pandemonium - Mega Matte, Matte Finish Big Bang - Metallized, Metallic Finish There are a few misses for me, which are: Pandemonium Seismic Firebird Disturbed For one reason or another, either color or application I just couldn't make those shades work for me. These are $17 a piece. Most are super nice. You have 100 shades to choose from and 6 different finishes as I said above. These are available at Sephora, Ulta, and the Urban Decay website of course. Promos for Sephora: Deluxe Size of Too Faced Sun Bunny bronzer w/ $25 purchase: INSTABRONZE 7 day sample set of Ole Henrickson 3 little wonders set w/ $25 purchase: GLOWING Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Oil w/ $25 purchase: INSTASMOOTH As always use Ebates and get you some cash back if you're shopping online. It costs you nothing to sign up or to shop through them. It only gives you a percentage of your subtotal back to you. A check is sent out quarterly or transferred to your Pay Pal. Colour Pop released a new formula of lippie stix. Well not technically new, they released Matte X with the lippie stix Trust Issues earlier. I'm assuming that they realized it was bomb and then they decided to release an entire line. Which I'm in full support of. So they released 15 shades of the Matte X formula. They do have other mattes, these are more matte obviously. So I've heard great things about all the neutral and more wearable colors. However, I heard the ones that were bright and different were harder to work with and of course I went with those. Above I'm wearing Topless on the top left. Barely There is the bottom left. Climax is on the right. I got two shades that I heard were difficult and then one that wasn't. I personally didnt have an issue with any of them. The swatches above are: Climax, Barely There, and Topless.
Yes those names are the real names lol. I find them comfortable. Way more comfortable then most liquid lipsticks. They can look a little dry but with a good lip balm they're fine. They wear really well for a long time. If you don't like liquid lipsticks but you need more staying power from a lipstick i woukd get these. They are $5 a piece and you can't beat that. The color Topless is very similar to CP Pacific and Botanicals or in between. Pacific is matte formula and a shade darker than Topless where Botanicals is more like a sherbet color. Barely There is very similar to ABH Sweet Talker liquid lipstick. Super similar. Darn near dupe. Obviously I dont have anything close to the shade Climax which is a matte blueberry color. Most blues that I have are very metallic with shimmer in them. Its hard to find a matte navy blue. So that's it. Short and sweet, they're awesome and I highly recommend them. If you find they do get too dry or look cakey just apply a good balm first. Or use a more moisturizing one if the one you have isn't doing enough moisturizing. I recently got some new stuff from Colourpop. As you know I'm a huge fan of Colourpop. I just picked up some new stuff from newer collections. Not just one specific collection. I got 3 of the Satin Liquid Lipsticks. 2 are the new ones from the spring collection and 1 from the first line. 1 Sculpting Stix from the Jaime King collab Brow Color and Dope Taupe. I also got another Dare eye shadow since mine bit the dust. (not pictured) The most exciting thing I think is the lip sticks. Especially the shade Naked Ladies. It's like that perfect bright Coral. It looks red when swatched with other Reds but it's definitely gonna be my summer shade cause it's that intense Coral-y Red. Second is Botanical which always seems so much lighter in person. It's like a good brighter sherbet color. It's very similar in my opinion to Retro Coral from Anastasia Beverly Hills. It doesn't look so much like it in the swatches but it really is similar in person. Bad Habit is a color I definitely didn't have. It's a blue based bright pink. It's a bit more of a duo chrome since there seems to be a metallic color shift. So for the other swatches with the new colors to see what are similar. Top Right picture left to right: Bad Habit CP, Srooge CP, Enchanted LA Splash Bottom Left pic left to right Naked Ladies CP, Succulent CP, Cozy CP Bottom Right pic top to bottom Botanical CP, Pacific CP, Retro Coral ABH, Cocos Island Ofra Cosmetics Next is the Sculpting stix and Brow Color. The sculpting stick is really similar to Tarte's cream contour stick. Bottom line if you like cream contour I think you should try it. It blends well. I only use it under foundation so I can speak for what it does on top of foundation. However, it's not expensive so I really do think it's a deal. In the picture above Top to Bottom: New Renaissance CP, Tarte Sculptor in Park Avenue Princess #3, Tarte Sculptor in Park Avenue Princess. Lastly is the Brow Color. This is basically a pomade. I got Dope Taupe and I really really like it. If you like sculpting your brows I would pick one of these up in a heart beat. It goes on really well and stays on well. They are also offering brow pencils too and they look similar to the Brow Wiz from ABH but I'm not sure. The pic below: Top left: Bad Habit Top Right: Naked Ladies Bottom Left: Botanical So that's it. As always I love everything I got. Colourpop very rarely lets me down. They're inexpensive and they're pretty fast with their shipping. So check them out if you've not. I'll leave their link here. Also sign up for emails and get a $5 off coupon.
Spring is right around the corner. So lets roll into some Spring makeup and transitional makeup to give you a bit of color but not too much. As you know I'm a huge fan of color but with spring I think of pastel bright shades in greens, lavender, light blues, light pinks, and pale yellows. When I think of makeup I think of bright coral lips, bright pinks, and lilac shades. So it's more than being just colorful, it's the right shades of color. However, I'm not here to tell you what you can and can't wear as I myself tend to break any makeup rules there might possibly be out there. I have no problem wearing a navy blue or black lip in the dead of summer. So whatever floats your boat but for the sake of Spring colors lets have fun with some spring shades. The picture about is a Spring Transition look as I like to call it. It has a pop of color but very neutral as well. Top lid: MUG Voltage (inner half) Mocha, Corrupt (outer color of lid), Cocoa Bear (crease) Chickadee (crease) Lash line: Dragon Fly, and a bit of Corrupt on the outer part of the lower lash line. Lashes: Violet Voss Just Slayin 3D Faux Mink lashes ABH: Brow Definer in Dark Brown You could trade out that lower lash line with any other bright shade. I think an orange shade or periwinkle or lavender would be just as pretty. Next up is adding a super colorful bright lip to a toned down neutral eye. I chose a red/coral lip for this. The eyes are nothing special just a warm brown in the crease and a light shimmery lid. The lips are Colour Pop Satin Liquid Lipstick in Cozy. Which is very similar to Colour Pop Matte liquid lip in Succulent. Only Succulent is more red and Cozy has a bit more orange. Both are bright as can be and gorgeous. I prefer the Satin formula more though. Here we have some INTENSE color. I know it's super colorful and not everyone would wear it but when I think of Spring I think of two things color, and the fact that you can use more makeup in the Spring than the Summer. In Summer I feel like less is better because everything just melts off your face and feels super heavy. Things run and move around, so in the Spring I feel like you can get away with more. This look is: Sauce Box Temptation Palette for the whole thing. You could add or take away things from this obviously. The blue in this reminds me of Neptune from MUG so that's an option if you don't want the palette. Also the orange reminds me of Dark Mango from Coastal Scents. So these shadows can be duped. The yellow I can't really dupe cause it's so hard to find super pigmented yellows. The only other one I have that would work is from the Melt Radioactive stack. If you wanted it to be more toned down then Yellow Brick Road from MUG would work I think. So this look has more color and brighter colors on the lids and lips. This is full blown spring and summer in my opinion. Not transition with a pop of color just all color. The lips are Colour Pop ultra matte liquid lipstick in Pacific that is a bright orange. The eyes are: Colour Pop shadows: Fantasy, Heat, and Animal You can also use a bit of black to deepen that outer corner if you want. Koko Lashes in Foxy This is the final look. It's very iridescent and pale colors. With a duo chrome pigment. It's just an "enchanting" look in my opinion. The lip I went with is dark purple but you could use literally a ton of shades with this like pale peaches, lavenders, pinks, nudes, even coral in my opinion. The dark lip just helps balance out the look I think.
Eyes: MUG shadows in Mai Tai (inner corner) Wisteria (crease and lower lash line) a bit of Corrupt on the outer corner. Pigment in Hologram applied with a damp brush in the center and inner part of the lower lash line. MUG Immortal Gel Liner Violet Voss lashes in Vamptress Lips Colour Pop Zipper Recently I picked up some of the Satin Liquid Lipsticks from Colour Pop. These have been out since mid-late February. I got shades Mess Around, Toolips, and Cozy (swatched from left to right.) I love these. Let me repeat, I love these. The reason I love these will probably be why some people don't. I love them because they don't dry down completely. I'm kinda over the whole matte liquid lip that crumbles or cracks or looks crusty and dry. These keep their color all day but they will transfer to straws and what not, they will smear if you rub your lips but unlike a lipstick that would just wipe off this keeps it's pigment and coverage but they just don't dry completely. They're also easier to "clean up". If you've made a bit of a mistake it's easy to fix with these. They feel really nice, I don't feel like it's a must that I hydrate the lips as much as possible for a while before putting these on, like you would with super dry liquid lipsticks. These are $6 like the Ultra Matte line. I'm a huge Colour Pop fan as you know. They are one of my favorite companies. I really enjoy their products and love watching them grow. This shade is Cozy. It's a bright orange-y/red. It's very similar to Succulent from the matte line but Succulent is more red. This I guess would be more like a coral. I really am loving this as a spring and summer shade. This is Mess Around. It's a medium brown lip. I didn't have any brown lip colors surprisingly. I think the lip liner in Wet would go well with this, also from Colour Pop. I really love this color. It's not a light greyish brown it's more of a true brown, but extremely wearable. This is "Toolips". This has some brown in it as well but it's really more plum. This swatch really looks more brown but in person it's a darker warm plum-y brown shade, in my opinion. I really love it though because it's a unique shade. It looks different all the time I think. So there ya go. I love these and I will pick up more. They have some more neutral shades as well. There are 16 shades all together, only one is sold out right now. Remember, if you're shopping for the first time at Colour Pop sign up for emails and I think you get $5 off your first purchase.
This is the new Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Namaste, that just recently released. This shade is pretty popular right now cause it's a good pinky-nude. There are 14 shades all together that range from purples, nudes, mauves, berry, and orange. It's $20 for .20 ounces at Sephora and Ulta as well. It's also available in a lip set at Sephora "Give Me Some Nude Lip". It's available as a promo right online at Sephora right now with code "Bold Lip" both being deluxe samples. As far as formula goes, it has a menthol/vanilla scent and mousse like texture. It goes on soft and it doesn't completely dry like most liquid lipsticks. Because of that, it also doesn't crack and crumble like very "liquid-y" liquid lipsticks. I really love that. I do find that it's a bit patchy sometimes when I apply it, not terribly bad but I have to build it up in certain areas. Also because it doesn't dry completely it does transfer some. It also seems to oxidize or at the very least stain my lips when it's off.
I will say though that as a lipcolor, and formula, I still like it since it's very neutral. I don't know if I would like the bolder colors though because it does transfer. The texture is very similar to Ofra Cosmetics, but I like Ofra better because it doesn't seem to transfer and it's less expensive and better application. This is a great color though, it's a "go to" color when nothing else stands out or to take with you on the go or a trip. It's packaging is no where near as big and long as ABH or KVD and I like that because it fits into smaller pockets and cosmetic bags. Other brands of liquid lipsticks and prices are as follows:
Today I'm going to talk about neutral looks and how you can bring a little something extra to them with a pop of color. Whether that be on the lid it self or with your lip color. So I have three. Two of them I've linked videos to that I done for Instagram. This look above, I actually seen @wickedbeautification on Instagram do with similar colors. I modified it somewhat to my own vision and used different products. Her's is gorgeous so you should check it out for sure, she's so talented. It had more plum/berry shades in it without the inner corner teal part. Mine is a bit more red brown, oranges and a lighter teal somewhat. Here's what I used to do mine:
This is a more cool toned brown eye (halo again) which when you add pink over it it tends to look a little purple. I try to keep the brown tone as much as possible so I add in warmer tones to cancel out any purple it's trying to bring out. It has some orange on the lower lash line. I have a video for it here which will take you through the whole "halo" technique I use for all halo looks pretty much. Now you could actually add in much more brown to make this even more neutral. I went in hard with the pink so you may want to do less. The Star Powder pigment brings iridescence, it's not necessarily vital to the look though. You could use the pink shades and just go with a darker pink halo eye which is still beautiful. Here's what I used:
My lipstick is ABH Lovely liquid lipstick. This look I really love because it's a warm neutral smokey eye with an ombre lip that has a bright red center. I have a video on how I done my ombre lip here. The eyes can be modified to what ever you want as well as the lips, I just wanted to include a pop of color that wasn't necessarily on the eye.
Here's what I used:
Lips are Feminist lip liner from Colour Pop and Atlantic City liquid lipstick from Ofra Cosmetics. So those are my latest, and best three examples of easy ways to add in color to your makeup. Whether it be daily, or for a special occasion they all would be suitable. My birthday is Friday so I'm thinking the first one with the teal is going to be my birthday look. If I don't find something I like better. Right now though it's my favorite. Also check out my Instagram (@lovemascara) for small tutorial videos every few days. I'm still working through the lighting and angles though so bear with me, I'm trying to better the quality of them. I'll sign off now and I hope this was helpful, remember to be kind to each other. Spread love not hate. I appreciate you and take care! |
