As you know I'm a big fan of Drunk Elephant, actually I'm a "stan". Even though I hate that word. I will use it for them. I've tried most of their line, except their SPF products and the solid cleansing bars. They are also one of the kindest brands I've had the pleasure of talking to on occasion. I love their packaging, I can spot it from a mile away. I like that they expand their range one product at a time and not an entire collection at a time. So without going on and on, let's just get into it.
It's hard for me to rank my favorite of favorites with these so I'm not going to, I'm just going to start. Protini Polypeptide Cream: I feel like this is and has been taking the skincare community by storm. 2018 has been very adamant about making the term "peptides" and the use of peptides very common and familiar when searching for skincare products even when you're "new" to the skincare world. Everyone is learning and hearing about them. Protini is, in my mind, the best formula and product for strengthening the skin and making sure peptides are in your routine as a dedicated product. I think it's brilliant. It can be added to other products or used alone and you will notice a difference. LaLa Retro Whipped Cream: This is a stand by product. It works very well with Protini with essentially the same packaging except different color, obviously. This is just....really good man. I know that's kinda underwhelming to say, but it is. Day, night, or both; layered, combined or on it's own, it's just very good. I feel like it's lightweight, but nourishing. So not overly moisturizing to the point of greasy or a heavy feeling, but the skin is more plump and comfortable. I personally think it's fantastic for those who love to layer in their routines. It has 6 rare African oils. I've used it on dry, dehydrated and oily to problematic skin and it's done amazingly well. I do use it more so at night because I like adding Protini to it and layering stuff on top of it. C-Firma Day Serum: This is my favorite Vitamin C Serum. It's what got me into Vit C. It's a pump packaging like most of their packaging. It's not the least bit irritating. It's the right amount of Vitamin C that I like to do during the day which is 15% L-Ascorbic Acid. I travel with the travel size of this because I know it's not going to cause a problem. It doesn't absorb extremely fast in the skin, in the sense that, it feels like you've put product on your face and it didn't evaporate immediately. I just really enjoy it because it was one of the first products with antioxidants that showed me a difference in the radiance of my skin. No, it doesn't smell great, but to me I love the smell because I know exactly what it is. Which sounds odd but it's kinda reassuring when you know what it's done for your skin. B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel: This is Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5. It's my favorite HA serum hands down. It's what I recommend to everyone because I've not seen it aggravate anyone's skin, or routine. It absorbs quick so it's super easy to layer. It plays well with other products and it has the added benefit of B5 which is only now just becoming a popular thing to put with Hyaluronic Acid on the mainstream I feel like. Which is what DE does best in my opinion, they make everything mainstream in sophisticated, but simple enough formulas and it will tell you what it's for directly on the front of the packaging. There really isn't any product that gives me grief from them. C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream: I have a review up on this. So check that out for more info. Simply it's the best eye cream out right now. The fact that it provides antioxidants along with hydration to the eye area is the best news right now for myself. I've long been looking for a fantastic eye cream and I've had some great ones that are soothing, hydrate, or feel nice but this is effective and it can also be used with Shaba Complex Eye Serum, but I can't speak on that because it's one of the few products I haven't tried. I like C-Tango on it's own just fine though. T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial: This is 1 of 3 resurfacing masks/weekly treatments that I will use and I have a ton of AHA/BHA treatments. It's 25% AHA/2% BHA. I'm more of an everyday person. To be more specific I prefer a daily liquid acid toning method. However, if I've slacked in my routine or a product really didn't do it's job that I've been testing or my skin needs a "boost" that's when I reach for this. I'm aware there is something similar on the market but at this point I'd much rather support Drunk Elephant. That's it. The only products that I keep meaning to try is the Marula Oil, I've just not had the reason to try it just yet because I have a lot of oils, but I have a sample so I will try it out! I want to try Shaba Complex Eye Serum to see how much it helps C-Tango, and I will try the SPF's as well. I know they're a favorite so I don't think you need my opinion necessarily on those, but SPF recommendations are tricky. I have purchased all these products many times at some time or the other but Drunk Elephant did send me a box of "refills" in the past week. I'm incredibly thankful to them for that, I very much appreciate it. My best advice if you aren't sure is try some of the travel duos or sets and get to know the products. That's what caused me to fall in love with C-Firma and B-Hydra and just one more thing I love.
