Today I'm finally talking about my massive bath products haul. I've been putting this off and thanks to that a lot of these products, which were holiday exclusives, are gone. This is over the span of a couple months, so this is more of a collective haul. The products I got duplicates of are the ones that I buy extras of because they're going to sell out or discontinue, they might be on sale, etc. Also, I like buying from indie brands the most when I can. Here's a spoiler 9 times out of 10 the indie brands that I like are FAR BETTER than your commercial/big bath product dedicated companies. I mean leaps and bounds better and a lot of times not as expensive, have better shipping time, and sometimes free shipping . I know there are many who don't like baths, here's where I'm coming from: ever since I was little, baths made me feel better physically. They help my cramps, they help my stomach that is hurting, they relieve my stress, when I'm very cold from cold weather the first thing I do is take a bath to warm me up. So they are extremely comforting but physically helpful for me as well. My friend Savannah and I once discussed how the shower/bath is like a santuary for us. She is more into showers, a nightly shower helps her decompress and almost like "washes that day's struggles away". The shower is a wonderful place to have a good cry, I often get in a shower when I'm super angry and just need to be by myself so I can calm down. I use baths mainly to get away from my health issues. Thus the reason why it's our sanctuary. You can't come in and talk to us, it's private, and it's some self love time. So let's get started. If something is discontinued I'll put a star ( * ) beside it so you'll know. Let's start with LUSH. Each year they do their "Boxing Day Sale" and it lasts until mid January, I think. It's usually buy 1 get 1. This time multiple items were all 50% off. Which I liked much more. So I picked up mostly holiday products, but I also got some permanent products as well. Holiday Products: * Yog Nog Bubble Bar. I bought 2 of these. They look like cloves of garlic and I don't understand why. I liked the Yog Nog log slices last year that were square and CAKED in delicious butter for the skin. I realize that wasn't the best for making great bubbles but, I would just cut the butter off and use the actual cubes to make the bubbles and turn the butter into a scrub. Worked out great. * Yog Nog Shower Gel. I wanted the big sizes of this because I love the Yog Nog scent so much. However, it sold out so fast that I just got 2 of the 3.3 oz. This is lovely and true to the scent. I tried a shower gel that was HIWTK scented about a year ago and it was sickeningly sweet and I couldn't stand it. It wasn't true to scent at all. This was not the case. This has a lot of golden luster in it and it does separate but I like the look of it, it's mesmerizing. I try to shake it up but it doesn't really mix back up for me so I don't worry about it. * Santa Reusable Bubble Bar. It's Santa on a stick so you can hold it under running water, let it bubble, and then lay it to dry with less chance of falling apart like it would if it were in your hand under the water. This smells so good. Like a subtle citrus dream. I would love a perfume in this scent. *Baked Alaska Soap. I've always been mesmerized by the look of this soap. It looks like northern lights in it with shades of blue, green, sometimes pink, etc. Just gorgeous. On the outside it kinda looks like snow and ice. It's completely white and has some coconut shreds on the top which is more exfoliating for the skin. It smells sooooo good. I love it. *Golden Pear Soap. This is super sweet smelling. Everyone talked about this so much last year. It's not my favorite on it's own but it's great mixed in with bath cocktails and bubble bars. It's gorgeous with golden luster and it has like a whipped butter in between the top and bottom pieces of the soap which makes it super moisturizing. Permanent Line I picked up another Aliens and Monsters fun because it smells like Lord of Misrule. Which I have the shower cream in and also the perfume. I love that scent so much now, I hated it in the beginning but it truly is one of my top 3 scents from LUSH. Speaking of top scents, I picked up the Honey I Washed The Kids naked shower gel. The naked products just mean they come without plastic packaging. It's a solid shower gel mainly with no container. It comes wrapped in paper to keep stuff from getting on it. This is my favorite scent ever. Companies try to replicate it and they can't. I've only seen one that could get it close in the scent, in a bubble bar. It's a funny scent though because the spray is super strong and doesn't hardly smell the same, which can happen in when you turn it into sprays and perfumes. The soap smells amazing that's how I fell in love with it because I got a sample of the soap. The other product that holds this scent the best is Gold Fun. It's usually only on the UK site. I got the original shower gel when it was called "It's Raining Men" and it was sickly sweet in scent. I couldn't stand it, it didn't smell like the real scent. So when they came out with the naked shower gel I though it might be kinda like Gold Fun, and I was right. I personally think it's something about the texture they use it in. So the soap, Gold Fun, and the Naked Shower Gel are all in a more solid form therefore it holds the true scent perfectly. The liquids and sprays are too intense. I also seen where people were making the naked shower gels (cause they have a tendency to melt) into whipped soaps. I am highly interested in that. I keep them wrapped up tight in the paper and haven't had a melting issue because I keep it away from the actual shower and bath. I love it. Next is Country Market Crafts. Some of these are permanent but they do a TON of holiday releases through out the year. So this is going to be heavy in holiday products as well. I love this company. I've probably tried the most bath products from them as opposed to any other bath company/retailer. They always send a coupon code in the package for 10% off and have free shipping if you spend $35. My favorite bubble bar ever (aside from Yog Nog at Christmas) is the Rainbow Berry Crunch Toasty Tart. It smells amazing. I don't know how, but Steph does such perfect, most unique, scents with the perfect layers of pastry vanilla-y warm scents with a touch of berry so it's not too overpowering. I buy these in bulk. I literally have 6 right now. They're good size as well. I usually get three uses out of one bar. They are the OG of pastry tart looking bubble bars and also toast looking bubble bars. It's amazing. I also picked up the matching Shower Gel and Melting Wax Brittle. The wax is something new that I hadn't tried from an indie brand ever. It's so nice to smell my favorite scent through the whole house. I've seen other companies describe similar scents, as well as some other similarities, but I'm telling you it doesn't compare to their products because they're so unique all the way around. Another staple is "fairy bread". I also stock up on these. They have changed the formula a little by adding more vanilla to the scent. It's great. If you like food smelling baths then get these. It enhances whatever scent is in your cocktail. It has a hidden color under the icing, like many of their products, which is a nice added touch I think. I picked up a Birthday Cake Pretzel Bubble Bar for my birthday bath cocktail. Smells like confetti cake and heavy in vanilla. It's so good to add to a tart fruity scent. I actually added the Birthday Cake Pretzel to the Valentine's Day release "Strawberry 'Nilla" Toasty Tart. It smells very tart and not very pastry like most Toasty Tarts. When I mixed both bubble bars it smelt like homemade Strawberry Cake that my mom makes. They mesh well and the Strawberry is quite strong so that's why it works. I already had the matching shower gel from last year. It's such a gorgeous hot pink. I wanted to try their version of Tea and Cakes because I'm so obsessed with the scent. I got the shower gel and literally five of the sandwich cookie bubble bars. These are gorgeous. They look like a wafer cookie almost, or an ice cream sandwich. There's a cream in between the top and bottom cookie parts. It's a gorgeous bright blue. I need to pick up the wax brittle in this scent. (I've also purchased the Spring/Easter releases that literally just dropped, but that's too much for this haul.) Confectionery Soaps Co. You know I love this company. They're bubble bars are very unique and huge! She works so hard at her craft and she does restocks often. She is a scent master. She gets scents super close to the original scents that are always very popular, as well as creating her own. She does gorgeous glitter and luster on the products. She also has an unscented, no color, no glitter, bubble bar which I think is brilliant to just add to a cocktail to get more bubbles or if you didn't want a scented bath period and just some bubbles. I think she's brilliant. I picked up the Sapphire Rayne bubble bar that is like a more spicy version of Yog Nog, I literally replace the word "purple" in the song Purple Rain with Sapphire lol. Singing Sapphire Rayne every time I use it lol. It's a beautiful white and blue loaf style bubble bar. Super heavy as always. These are so huge that it takes forever to get through a bubble bar, especially if you're mixing it with another bubble bar. There are some that weigh 13 oz. or more. I picked up the Charity Tree bubble bar because the proceeds went to help the Australia fire organizations. It's such a cute tree. It's the size of a normal sized bubble bar but still pretty thick and not that much glitter actually. I truly love that though. I got one piece from the Valentine's Day release which was the Casanova bubble bar. It's huge and has "Love" written out in frosting. It's a beautiful cut out shape and very thick. Again, super heavy. Beautiful pink and red with white frosting. I got the Tea and Cakes whipped soap. I love the Tea and Cakes scent from them, which is how I discovered the scent in the first scent. It's about 3 colors in the container, in layers. Pretty sure it's one of the regular scents and not a limited edition. She always sends me candy and such nice huge samples. I love her so much. I tried a new brand: Soak Fizz and Bubbles.
I've seen them for a while, and I love the food looking bubble bars in general from companies, so I was totally interested. I love seeing their products get chopped on Instagram. So I seen they were having a sale and I picked up some pieces. I will say it felt like this took forever to get to me but not a ridiculous amount of time. That very well could've been the fact that they were having a sale though and were very busy. It's a Canadian based company like many brands I love. I only got bubble bars: Strawberry Buttercream Cookie. Looks like a big sugar cookie with pink icing and sprinkles. Smells lovely but I'd like it to be just a touch stronger. Rainbow Brittle Bubble Bar. This is a lot of bright colors in a thick triangle shape with frosting and sprinkles on top. I bought two just because I loved the look of it so much. It smells delicious like a perfect vanilla pastry. So glad I bought two. I also got two Whoopie Pies. They have glitter on top and a blue and pink cream in between. I expected this to smell like a snack cake but it actually smells almost tart cherry in my opinion. Not too strong, but definitely a surprise and I like it a lot. I got a Peppermint Bark Bar which was part of their holiday collection. I got it to use in a mint chocolate chip bubble bath. It's also a triangle shape with a candy cane on top. It's super thick and quite big. Speaking of mint chocolate chip I got some bubble bar scoops that look like ice cream scoops. These come in a cute little take out looking container. They're super soft. I got Mint Chocolate Chip and it's super strong in scent. I also got 2 of the Blueberry Cream Pie Scoops. The problem is because they were in the same container as the mint chocolate chip, I can only smell mint. Which is a major bummer because I love blueberry scents. I separated them and wrapped the blueberry ones hoping their true scent would come out so we shall see. These are so soft and luscious though. They sent two little samples as well and I appreciate that. So, that's a lot of product. I wasn't even sure if I was going to post this because far more time has passed than I thought. I already had written everything though and it's so much product description that I wasn't going to just discard it. I stock up at the beginning of the year because of sales. The rest of the year I might buy some seasonal stuff from small brands but rarely buy anything from LUSH because of melting, shipping, etc when it's not super cold, plus I'm not a big bath bomb fan. I stock up on scents that I love and use a lot like Country Market Crafts. I usually want to try at least one new brand though during the big bath haul to talk about. There we have it. I hope this was still interesting for you in some way. Now to go make some "bath cocktails".
