I guess for a little over a month I've been trying out this new night balm that I got from a company called Farmacy. I'll be honest the first thing that perked my interest was the packaging. The lid is wooden and the container feels porcelain to me. I thought that was really neat. Inside the product, is a firming night balm that is a green gel to oil. It's like a salve. Like the consistency of Rose Bud Salve for your lips, it's like that. It doesn't have that much of a smell either. I think if anything it smells faintly like menthol possibly. I can't pin point it really.
So this company is based on "farm grown products" the ingredients are "hand picked" for natural skincare and beauty products. I was really just intrigued by the whole company. I really liked that this was basically home grown from start to finish and their "lab" was basically their "farm" which it's not, their lab is two hours away. They use Echinacea Purpurea, GreenEnvy™ which is patent- protected and has the highest concentration of "phytochemical Cichoric Acid, a potent natural antioxidant which helps protect and firm the skin by inhibiting the enzymes that break down collagen." So basically it not only firms, it brightens and improves skins pigmentation over all. This certain product helps to prevent early wrinkles, brighten and improve texture issues along with helping the look of deep wrinkles you may already have. The Sunflower oil, Blackcurrent seed, and balloon vine extract are the ingredients that protect your skin from damage. Also Vitamin C is used to replenish the skin. So that's a lot of stuff jammed into one little thing. So the question is: Does it work? Well I'm 27, I don't have wrinkles really. However, I was starting to notice fine lines under my eyes that my concealer would settle in. I have texture issues, I have dull skin that's not completely even in tone as well. So I had reasons to try it. The first few weeks I wasn't noticing a difference. I was applying it at night, obviously, I was applying it pretty heavy around my eyes. I wasn't really noticing much other than it felt very hydrating. Then I started with a more simple cleanser and exfoliator and kept using this. I was still thinking that, I hadn't noticed much else other than hydration. Then one day I was doing my makeup and my dark circles didn't seem to be as dark, as the day went on my concealer stayed smooth, then my texture issues seemed to be better after a while. I'm not saying this done ALL those things. Maybe it did though. The one thing I can for sure say that I think it done was helped with the fine lines under my eyes. I do think it also has helped brighten my dark circles. The texture issues could've gotten better from the exfoliator I was using, I'm not sure but I do think that this helped in at least two areas, fine lines and brightening the skin. So would I get this? It's $48 for 1.7 oz. I don't think that's horrible for skin care but it all depends in how much you want to spend. The good thing is if you buy it from Sephora and hate it, you can return it. If it's in a store near you then maybe see if they'll give you a sample, also they did a promotion of these that were deluxe samples with a purchase from Sephora, maybe you could get your hands on one of those. It's really up to you. It's not gonna be thick and creamy and luxurious. It's going to be like I said earlier "a salve" type ointment that you put on your skin that can feel heavy and a little greasy while it soaks in. That doesn't bother me, but if it does bother you I might would go a different way. None the less, I think this is a very cool company to check out and they offer a lot more products than just this. I really want to try their lip products and some other things actually. So I hope this was helpful, I'm pleased with the results thus far and I'm glad that I have this in my arsenal of skin care to help combat these circles and fine lines.
