I hope you like the shorter blog posts. Some rapid fire favorites....both skincare and makeup related. I'm surprised that I've never listed my favorite false lashes actually. I know I've reviewed several here and there but as far as a top 5 I've not done that. So, I wanted to because I tend to stick with my faves and I literally wear lashes every time I wear makeup.
In the beginning of my blogging and artistry the rage was mink lashes but the faux mink made a big impact. I prefer faux mink. I think they perform better, I don't have issues with taking care of them and getting a lot of wear out of them. The price is way better and they're easier to find.
So lets get into it:
First up being Kiss Lashes #likeminkonlybetter line and my absolute every day, ride or die, favorites which are the Boudoir lashes. The band is perfect I don't need to trim it. It fits my eye so well. They aren't very noticeable. I love that. It adds more thickness rather than length. It has a barely noticeable flirty wisp to it at the end of it. I don't know how many pairs I've ordered but I would say I've went through 20 in the last year alone.
Next is also from Kiss faux mink line. These are the Midnight lashes and they're just a little more length, a little more drama without over doing it. So these are perfect if you have an eye look that is dark or smokey and your lashes kinda get lost. The lashes make it to where they don't get lost in the look but they don't take away from it either. The great thing is the faux mink line is available in Walgreens and on Amazon. I like ordering the bundle from Amazon. They run around $7 a pair. I'm good with that because I keep mine put up and take off any excess glue so I can get quite a bit of wear out of them.
After those would be some more fluffy and dramatic lashes. They're not cat like or wispy toward the end they have fullness that focuses more toward the center which I love. These are the Violet Voss Eye Need You. They have been a favorite for a while. I love Violet Voss lashes though, for the longest time Vamptress was my jam. These are perfect for bold looks and dark shadows because they really stand out. I love them.
Speaking about Violet Voss I also love the Striptease lashes. Those lashes look like they have two layers on them so the bottom layer being longer with more wispy and short lashes on top. The only down side is they can break down really easy and I don't feel like I can wear them as much as others. For the price, I don't care they're still really awesome to me plus they're quite different.
Switching to House of Lashes now, I love their mini line but my fave is the Iconic Mini's with Boudoir Minis getting a close second. These are perfect everyday lashes as well and they pair really well winged liner. Plus the fit of the band if perfect. They're a bit more "spikey" and not as full.
So that's it! Tell me what some of you're faves are!
