Hey ya'll. Yes the southern accent is in full force. While we're still in the throws of covid....not passion....I've been hesitant to discuss buying guides for sales, or anything really. I frankly didn't know what to post at all, because it just seemed to be so irrelevant, and unimportant thanks to the numerous crisis currently. 2020......girl you are trying it. Anyway, I finally decided to get back to basics and start doing reviews, and buying guides/gift guides like normal. Cause we could all use a little normalcy and I could use a distraction. So since the sales are starting up this week, I decided to dive into gift guides. I'm going to start with Sephora. It's usually the easiest for me. They have this thing going currently that if you spend $50 in a single transaction by the 30th of November then you'll receive a coupon in December. Normally I don't talk on that but their sale section has new stuff all the time, and some great gift ideas or stocking stuffers. Therefore, making it very easy to do some Christmas shopping, spend $50, and then get another coupon in December. The normally have markdowns on Black Friday. Unfortunately, I don't know what the deals are. I can tell you some solid products from my experience though. First, there's a lot of Marc Jacobs in in the sale section. Including the bronzer and several sets. I love their bronzer. Obviously, it could have a few more shades but basically could say the same for nearly every brand right now. The set that has the most appeal to me is the bronzer and loose powder set. Like I said, there's several sets though. Next up, today only there is the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm. Which is 3.8 oz and it's a solid cleansing balm. It's really good. I've used up a complete full size and I pack the travel size ones every time I get my hands on them. So, for today only this is $15 when it's normally $31. Quickly some other things in the sale section that I'm personally picking up is the Urban Decay eye duo which is the Perversion mascara and the liquid liner. That's my favorite mascara. I'm not sure if I tried the liner before but I'm happy to try it. Both of these are full size and it's $16. Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer is very nice. They have the travel size on sale for $9.50 and a full size for $19.00. Benefit Gimme Brow is on sale for today only, with a ton of shades (well done), for $12. I know there's some die hard Gimme Brow fans. There's quite a bit of Fenty in the sale section, more Urban Decay, Bite Beauty, and some Natasha Denona products, just to name a few. So definitely check out the sale section. I really love the Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm. This texture is buttah....it's also a very very gentle and subtle AHA. Therefore, I like to use this as an actual cleanser and not for just removing makeup. I'd use the Clinique one for removing makeup and this one for a morning cleanse due to what all it does.
I very much like the Farmacy Farmers Market Kit Farm-Fresh Bestsellers set. It has their Green Clean cleansing balm, the Honey Potion mask (which heats up while on your skin. It's packed with antioxidants), Very Cherry Bright 15% Vitamin C serum, and the Daily Greens oil-free gel moisturizer. OLAPLEX No. 7 Bonding Oil is one of the few hair products that I'd actually talk about and tell you that it's worth it. It's so nice. My stylist (hey Poodle!), uses it on my hair and it is lovely. I actually like the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer. I think I've talked about it before. I keep drifting back to it even though I don't talk about or use that primers very much. First Aid Beauty is another brand that is a solid gift for people when you aren't sure what their skin is like. It's very friendly to basically all skin types from what I've seen. They do incredible sets that are a steal. I don't have that many palettes to talk to you about. They've not really changed from others I've talked about that are available at Sephora. I will say: check out the value sets, check out the mini duos or sets, and travel section. You can find awesome gifts there. Also, what I do sometimes is break up a bigger value set and make it into stocking stuffers for several people. Pro tip right there folks. That's all I got, I do hope you have a good Thanksgiving and that you'll be safe and make the best of it. We don't get to be with our families this year and it's made me quite sad but that's the case for many of you I know. So we'll get there guys. In the mean time, I love you and thank you for reading. I'm praying for your safe keeping and over all happiness and sending you virtual hugs all around.
