"Everyone should have access to the kind of professional skincare you receive when you visit my office. But, that just wasn't possible until now. Thanks to a technology breakthrough, MD Complete gives everyone access to professional skincare results without seeing a dermatologist"
-Dr. Zelickson
It's my pleasure to talk with you today about MD Complete. I don't know about you but I've been seeing MD Complete for quite a while now. So when the opportunity came to discuss their Acne Clearing System I was so excited.

What you get in this is: Clarifying Cleanser, Breakout Treatment, Citrus-C Healthy Complexion and Healthy Skin Probiotics.

Some of the usual stuff and also Probiotics. Which I thought was really neat. I take over the counter probiotics because of my stomach issues. So that wasn't a new thing for me but I am someone who feels like probiotics can benefit most everyone just like I feel vitamins can help most everyone. However, I realize when it's something you ingest it's different and by all means please discuss with your Dr.

According to MD Complete this system will do the following:

"MD Complete’s Acne Clearing System provides a better solution because of it:
- Mimics the combination therapies by combining high potency Retinol with Benzoyl Peroxide
- Macro-encapsulates ingredients to be more effectively and gently absorbed into the skin
- Nourishes with Vitamin C, B & E to reduce the appearance of marks and restore a beautiful, healthy-looking complexion"

Benzoyl Peroxide is very common in acne products. Retinol is not a new concept either. I definitely appreciate that Retinol is in this though because I feel as if so many people are scared of it when it's actually so beneficial for so many people.

These are the descriptions of each products in the system.

"Acne Clarifying Cleanser: Natural botanicals and salicylic acid unite to gently exfoliate without stripping skin. Wash away impurities that can clog pores and prevent future breakouts with this light, refreshing infusion of Green Tea, Gingko Biloba and Ginseng.

Acne Breakout Treatment: Our top-rated spot treatment eliminates breakouts without the flakiness of typical Benzoyl Peroxide remedies. This innovative formula hydrates while it helps eliminate acne, effectively repairing the skin and leaving your complexion clear, calm and collected.

Citrus-C Healthy Complexion: Infused with Retinol and Vitamin C, this correcting serum diminishes post-acne dark marks and refines skin texture. Packed with nutrients (including Vitamins A, B, C, and E), this multi-tasking formula also moisturizes skin, leaving a clean-feeling, matte finish.

Healthy Skin Probiotic: Exclusive to MDComplete.com! This nutritional supplement addresses the effects of stress on gut health, supporting calmer, healthier-looking skin. Stress triggers inflammation throughout the body, including the stomach and skin. This supplement contains a Prebiotic and Vitamin B (Niacin) to restore the balance of good bacteria in the belly. Read about the Acne-Stress Connection."

So my skin has actually been doing great for the past little while. No major breakouts. Therefore, I've not had to use the spot treatment very much. I always have it on standby though. The cleanser is very gentle which is what I want in any cleanser and or any skin type I feel like your cleanser should always be gentle and not aggravate your skin. It doesn't make the skin feel tight like it's dehydrated and it doesn't make the skin sensitive. The Citrus-C Healthy Complexion is my favorite from the collection because you know I'm a very huge Vitamin C fan as well as having "treatments" in your routine. So I LOVE that they included this serum for this system. It has Retinol and Vitamin C, it doesn't make my skin tingle or sensitize it.  It's a matte finish so if you're on the more oily side this isn't going to make you look even more dewy or like an oil slick. It's not drying either, so it's at the perfect medium in my opinion.

Per MD Complete:
"Dermatologist-prescribed acne treatments have improved significantly over the past two decades with the introduction of combination therapies that marry retinoids (Vitamin A) with antibacterials, like benzoyl peroxide. But, the treatments don’t do much to improve the overall skin condition – often leaving the skin dry, red and irritated, and resulting in marks left behind after the breakouts clear. "

As I said I take probiotics for my stomach issues already. I think it's a great additive and I've seen it be very beneficial toward acne as well. I still would discuss it with a doctor before hand just to make sure  you know what to expect and learn more about it.

Like I said my skin has been doing really good. Oddly enough, since I've been testing these products it's been more balanced but it's also maintained that balance. So a more even complexion, soft skin, no excess oil, not dehydrated or dry flaky skin. It seems to just be very happy skin. I don't even want to say "normal" because my skin right now makes me incredibly happy and I'm excited about it.

Here's a little bit of info about the brand:

"MD Complete Skincare was created to provide access to dermatologist-level results in the appearance of skin tone & texture without a prescription. MD Complete transforms gold standard dermatologist prescribed skincare protocols into simple, effective and complete regimens at a fraction of the cost of prescription regimen counterparts."

Wonderful review!! I love clarifying products as they always work really well with my acne prone skin. Would you happen to know if MD Complete is cruelty free by any chance?
