Today we're here to discuss a palette that I've been loving lately. It's the Charlotte Tilbury "Glowgasm" palette. I am getting quite a selection of her products now and I must say she has more hits than misses. I expect no less though, she's an accomplished MUA. Her team done the Victoria Secret Fashion Show makeup last year. She's got a ton of celebrity clientele and just as many fans of her products. She helped develop products for other brands over the years, before she started her own, and she's looks like the brightest and happiest person you've ever seen. The packaging is gorgeous, on another level. She always does killer packaging for limited edition products though. Don't get me wrong her normal packaging is very sleek and luxury with it's "gold hardware" look but the limited edition products are on another level. This is a heavy face palette housing 4 pressed powders: bronzer, blush, blush highlight/topper, and highlighter. It comes in two shades one for light/medium and then a medium/deep complexion. I have the darker one which is the medium/deep shades. The light/medium has more pink to it, a warmer bronzer, and a more champagne highlight. I like my face products to be a little deeper. Not always, but most of the time. I often find that products that are much lighter don't give me much definition. I'm so glad I chose the darker one in this particular palette because it's a build-able product. Not so much the blush it's got a little more kick but the other products are build-able, especially the bronzer. The highlight is a little too "gold" for me but it's stunning. The blush and blush highlight/topper remind me of NARS dual intensity blush in Fervor but better. Sorry NARS. It's not glittery, it's the perfect blush that gives you that warm summer night type of flush. I can't get over it. The bronzer is a satin-matte finish in my opinion. You can build and build and build with this. I love it's undertone. It's more of warmish neutral. It looks dark in the pan. It's not. The swatches that they have are so insane especially for the darker one. I'll do swatches with one swipe and then built up swatches to see if I can get the level of intensity that they did. (As you can see I did not get the level of intensity as the official swatches) They seem to wear very well. I've noticed that any face product placed on a luminous or dewy finish seems to first intensify and then seems to melt into it and disappear more easily. I've been using the Selfie Foundation from PUR and it's not luminous in my opinion so it goes on very well, doesn't oxidize, and gets a little less noticeable the longer you wear it but it doesn't disappear or move around. That's going to change if you touch your face a lot or if you're sweaty or out in this humid weather man. It's so humid in TN right now. Also, bear in mind that I never set my face with a face mist unless I'm doing an event.
Beautylish sent this to me but I was getting ready to buy it anyway. Charlotte Tilbury is a more luxury brand so It's not surprising that this is $75. You can always do flexible payments with Beautylish which is just automated payments that come out each month and I believe it's over the course of 3 months. This isn't sponsored. I wasn't asked to review it. I just wanted to. It's still available as of right now.
