Today's post is going to be about Exuviance new release which is the "CitraFirm Face Oil". As you know I love a good face oil. Any kind of facial oil for that matter. I also am a huge fan of Exuviance and you know that too. So let's get into the details of this product!
Like always I'm going to give you the company claim on what this products is supposed to do:
"Target skin’s natural collagen and lipid barrier for a firmer look with Exuviance CitraFirm FACE Oil. CitraFill® plus a blend of Vitamins F, A, C and E and light botanical oils work together to target visible signs of aging, while conditioning skin and defending against environmental stressors that can accelerate the look of skin aging. Exuviance CitraFirm FACE Oil can be used on all skin types, including dry, lackluster skin or skin experiencing a loss of firmness. Non-acnegenic and non-comedogenic. Contains an 8-week supply 28 mL / 0.95 fl oz 4% CitraFill®, a nonacid Citric Acid compound, targets skin’s natural firming collagen. 4.5% level of Vitamins F, A, C, and E condition skin and defend against environmental stressors that can accelerate the look of skin aging. 7 light botanical oils including Rosehip, Apricot, Cranberry, Marula, and Argan deeply nourish skin, targeting skin’s lipid barrier to restore a feeling of suppleness." In my opinion this is a product that will do multiple things at once. Which I always appreciate and if you are not someone that wants to do several steps or layer a lot of products in your skincare regime then I think this is a product that you should look into. So starting with what I like the most is that, like a lot of oils, it's going to be a superfood for your skin. Literally, feeding the skin thanks to the Vitamins "F.A.C.E" (get it? lol) that it has. Thanks to being a superfood that means it's heavy in antioxidants for your skin to keep your skin healthy. Let alone that on their own each vitamin has specific benefits as well. Like Vitamin C, for example, is something we talk about a lot for it's brightening benefits giving your skin a more healthy glow. In another blog post I'll do a brief run down of benefits that each vitamin in skincare has but to sum up this part for this product alone, I'm always interested as soon as vitamins are introduced. Another major benefit I feel, is that it has oils like Marula and Argan that are very familiar but they have 5 more oils added with them that make this very beneficial from a hydrating stand point. What I appreciate is that it's not a thick or heavy oil feeling, although I love any oil and I do not care for myself if it feels thick or lays heavy on my skin, some people simply do not like that. So it's easier to want to use and get on board with when the product absorbs very nicely and is pretty thin although once you begin to massage it in to the skin it's immensely hydrating and then absorbs very easily. So you not super oily or "greasy" afterwards, your skin is softer, looks my hydrated, and visibly more supple. Again that's a major selling point for me. You can use this on your neck, decolletage, cuticles, and backs of hands if you want. I prefer to use it on my face and take the remnants down the neck. I also tend to use just 5-6 drops because it goes such a long way. I apply most oils in the "push and press" method. It's the best method for me because, since I do layer products , if I press oils into my face they don't typically start to roll up the product underneath. I also like using jade rollers, etc to roll in the product because these are very cooling on the skin and I think they feel very nice and it again doesn't cause the product to "peel" up or ball up underneath. This oil smells very nice. It's not super over powering but it does have a very lovely scent to it I think. Of course with Exuviance you can also expect new tech, new ingredients, new study's, and reaching new heights in the regard of skincare science and their products. I've always appreciated how progressive they are in this industry. This product is no different to that progressive nature that they're known for. "CitraFill" is introduced to this product and it's designed to help with the skins natural collagen production. Collagen is basically your skins firmness and youthful appearance. As you age and collagen starts to decrease naturally, you have a loss in elasticity which is going to cause the skin to be more slack and wrinkles or fine lines are more apparent. What I think is so lovely is this is a "facial oil" product and thus very hydrating. Your skin automatically starts to smooth out because it's plumping the skin and therefore fine lines are less noticeable due to the hydration. With the immidiate benefit of the oils own hydration and then the "CitraFill" working with the skins collagen production I think that's a really great way to approach loss of elasticity and moisture level. I've really enjoyed it over the last month. As you know, that's how long I test most skincare products before I review them. I prefer to use this at night because that's where I hit hard with hydrating products and also where I use a mild acid exfoliation or other resurfacing products. I tend to go in after a product that is a little more harsh and feed the skin and baby it as much as I can so that it doesn't get upset. Oils are a major part of my routine. I don't use multiple facial oil products in one routine but I do use a facial oil every single night. It's my preferred way to moisturize the skin before I go to sleep. I don't have an issue using this with other products that I've put it up against so it plays very well with everything and I imagine it will continue do so. It's not caused any type of reaction or unwelcome side effect for myself. I will continue to use it. I will, as always, leave the ingredients below along with a link to where you can buy it if you're interested.
