Ok the Sephora Spring Sale Event is upon us. This year it's a little different. In the years past Rouge has gotten 15% off along with VIB and Beauty Insiders have gotten 10%. This year Rouge gets 20% off and it started the 26th and goes to May 6th. VIB get's 15% off and Beauty Insiders get 10% off starting May 2nd -6th. Unlike the Friends and Family sale in the fall this one is a one time use code only, I think, that's what it's been in the past. During the Friends and Family sale you can use the code numerous times within the time frame. So, let's get started. Skincare is what's most important to me. If your skin isn't squared away then your makeup isn't going to look it's best and better yet, won't perform the way it should. So skincare is where I offer my recommendations first and makeup recs to follow. Of course Drunk Elephant is at the top of the list, always. They've recently dropped some absolute fire! First being the Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser. It's a lot of product first off, it's 3.88 oz. It has a really awesome magnetic spatula that attaches to the top of the lid. It also comes with a little tube of the Bamboo Booster Exfoliant which is meant to be added to a spatula full of the butter cleanser to make a gentle physical exfoliant when you need it. Also they just dropped a great new set called "Get Even". It's the first set to include the new A-passioni Retinol in it. It's packed with treatments and that's what I love them for. So you get great sizes of C-Firma, T.L.C Framboos, A-passioni Retinol, and travel sizes of (my baby) Protini Peptide Serum, and the Umbra Tinte SPF that is slightly tinted. It's my favorite set so far that they've done. Literally the only thing I would've changed would have been possibly the B-Hydra or a tiny sample of the Marula Oil. They have fantastic duos though in the travel size as always. Next is always Sunday Riley. Their oils are AWESOME there's a new one which is the C.E.O Glow Oil that has Vit C and Turmeric in it. Their what I like to call "foundation" of the company is the original oils UFO, LUNA, FLORA, and my personal favorite JUNO. They have beautiful treatments as well, some of the treatments are in fact the oils which you can read all about but the ones that aren't oils are the oldie but goodie Good Genes Lactic Acid treatment. There is also the new Retinol A+ serum or the LUNA oil which also has some retinol in it. There is the CEO Serum and the moisturizer which is full of Vitamin C. Some new stuff that I'm SUPER excited about is Alpha H. It's new to Sephora and very well loved in general. Their acid exfoliator called Liquid Gold, earned it's name for sure. It is an absolute treasure and cult favorite. Farmacy. They are stepping up! They've just released some newness. The Honey Potion is one of my very favorites. The Green Clean is another great cleansing balm. The Honey Drop is their fantastic moisturizer. The Honeymoon Glow is their AHA Exfoliating Serum. They just released Honey Grail which is their facial oil. They also, literally, just dropped the Better Daze Ahead which is infused with CBD oil it's 50 mg designed to balance and restore the skin. They've been busy. Also First Aid Beauty. They are a little more budget friendly but also has a very solid range of treatments and more. Their sets are lovely as always. They've even dipped into the makeup side of things. I mean their 3 in 1 Eye Remedy which is a corrector, hydrator, and has a metal applicator to de-puff the under eye area.... I'll just say it....it beats the Tatcha Pearl illuminating, correcting, hydrating, expensive thing. Lastly, Perricone. No one ever talks about Perricone anymore...why? They're amazing. I've not stopped using their Vitamin C Ester Brightening Serum and the High Potency Classics: Face Firming Serum. It's so potent (which is why it's in the HPC I guess) that it does in fact tingle some on my face. I love these two. It's a solid line. As some honorable mentions The Inky List just landed in Sephora which is super affordable so maybe it won't make your list because it is extremely affordable but hey if you're gonna buy it why not just get it now. Also Glow Recipe has both beautiful and fun products. My personal favorite is the Avocado Melt Mask which you can either use as a mask and take it off or as a sleeping mask. They just dropped their Pineapple C Brightening Serum. Their Watermelon line smells amazing. Moving on to the makeup:
Dude...Pat McGrath. I mean her stuff is super expensive but she's also released some more affordable options. The Bronze Seduction palette is STUNNING. It's the full size. Their are 6 pan palettes available as well. I have one of her palettes and I absolutely love it. Moving to Natasha Denona. Her palettes are always a hit for me. As are her cheek products. From bronzer to blush and highlight they give you the healthiest look I've ever seen. It's not been duplicated yet and I don't think that it can be. I feel like it's the year of bronzers. Fenty just released a load full of bronzers and fun fact there is a duo in the mini section that is a bronzer and one of the stix. Also, I'm super interested in the St. Tropez Bronzer. It's three different shades in the palette and it looks huge. Of course the Marc Jacobs bronzer is always a good one. Bareminerals Invisible Bronze is a favorite for years and they just released a new bronzer and highlighter for that matter, that I'd love to try. I'm super into blush products right now so I'm digging the Natasha Denona duo minis and also the newest palette she released. NARS Orgasm as a liquid illuminator which is already sold out. (dang it) I love Becca blushes, I also love Hourglass Ambient blushes. I want to try the Sephora collection blushes because I've heard great things about the previous formula and they just released a new formula and they have so many shades. I love base products so concealer, foundation, and primers. First Aid Beauty just released some great primers I have the hydrating one but they also released a mattifying one. Restock your favorite foundation of course, but you know I love the Hourglass liquid foundation, I'm a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation and her Hollywood Flawless Filter. I typically only wear First Aid Beauty Bendy Avocado Concealer which I love. I'd love to try the Laura Mercier concealer, the Natasha Denona newly released concealer, and the Hourglass concealer. Everyone is releasing so many foundations and concealers right now it's a bit overwhelming. Milk Makeup has been churning out product after product. I'm super interested in the Milk Hydro Grip primer which is available in the travel size as well. They've released new Kush products. I already love the Kush mascara. It's now available in the waterproof formula. They've put out a Kush lip balm which I hear is the best lip balm out as of right now. I'm a big fan of the Kush tinted brow gel. I want to try the Sunshine Skin Tint, I saw Sam from Pixiwoo wearing it and saved it to my phone because that was the most stunning complexion I'd ever seen. They're known for their sticks which are all cream based products. Including a new Cannabis face mask. They are very good to make a ton of their products in "minis" and I love that about them. I don't ever really cover lip products because I don't usually stray from the faves which are Buxom plumping lip powders and also the Bare Minerals Gen Nude liquid lip line. Marc Jacobs has some beautiful lip glosses. Again, Pat McGrath has some beautiful lip products as does Charlotte Tilbury. She has the market cornered on perfect nude lipsticks. Always look to a brand that was created by an MUA, you'll find the best products there. I don't usually mention body products but I'm liking the body illuminator oils and mists. Fenty released some, Patrick Ta, NARS has offered some liquid illuminators for years. While I'm on the subject of body illuminators I'd also like to mention a product I just recently used and LOVED it was the Vita Liberata Tanning Cloths, although I'm not sure they're even at Sephora. I got them in an Allure box and they are so nice and it was a beautiful golden based tan. I'm a personal fan of St. Tropez sunless tanning mousse products. I'm gonna wrap it up here. Happy shopping guys!
