I've had the pleasure of getting to use a new serum from a company that I hadn't been acquainted with yet. It's called the First Light Serum and it's from Ceramiracle. This product opportunity came about at a time when I was in desperate need of intense hydration for my very very dehydrated and dry skin. I've went through that whole problem/issue in my Stressed Skin Go To's post. ![]() This could not have come at a better time. I was really interested in the background of this product and company from the claims that this had. Then when I got it, it talked so heavily about hydration which has been a life saver for my skin issues lately. So I kinda grouped this with the Neostrata Bionic Face Serum which is an Intensive Hydration Antioxidant Serum. That serum is thicker, and kinda sticky where this one is thin, not really any residue left behind and there are two ways of using it. I love them both but we're here to talk about the Cereamiracle and I just want to say I think they are completely different products before we go any farther. You can use 2-3 drops and an evening application, or if you really need intense hydration you can use half of the dropper. NOT HALF THE BOTTLE HALF OF THE LITTLE GLASS DROPPER. People tend to get very confused on what actually a drop of product is. I typically use 2-3 drops but there were several times where I used half the dropper. This is a thin consistency much like Squalene actually is. It doesn't have a ton of ingredients in it which I like but the ingredients it does have in it packs a punch, more on that later. What I think is cool about this is what the "vision" was behind it. Simply this serum is to mimic the Vernix Caseosa that protects, nourishes and hydrates a new born baby. It was literally inspired by the skin you would have in the womb. Now keep in mind that is not what this is because Vernix Caseosa is very thick, waxy and cheese like but the function of it is what inspired this product and I think that's really neat. I'm going to insert some claims from the company and the ingredients: "For all skin types FIRST LIGHT The Serum is a phytosqualane based 95% active beauty concentrate containing natural actives inspired by the vernix caseosa - the thick, white wax-like substance that coats babies for weeks before they are born. The Serum mimics the intense hydration and skin nourishing and protective properties of the vernix to bring back baby soft skin. Benefits Just a few drops will instantly revitalize skin, refresh and smooth your complexion. Use it on its own or with a moisturizer for firmer, radiant, toned and younger looking skin. Made for humans. Not tested on animals. Studies 3 global ingredient patents Key ingredients in First Light The Serum have been clinically shown to: Improve skin hydration and reduce TEWL. Firm skin and tighten pores. Visible reduction in wrinkles. " Now lets talk ingredients. The key parts this talks about is: PhytoVernix science with Wakame stem cell culture, White lupin seed and Phytoceramides. Ok so the PhytoVernix Science we've discussed that above. Wakame maintains the skins smoothness, elasticity, and maintains skin firmness. White Lupin Seed and also Sunflower Seed that also is in this is supposed to help promote high quality Collagen production. The Phytoceramides, I believe is the Wheat Extract in this. Phyto meaning plant. Wheat Extract is Ceramide. The skin naturally produces ceramide but as with most things that help out skin look youthful and plump that declines with age . It's often added to products to help with cracked, flaky and dry skin which is why I think I loved the product so much. It has Antioxidant properties and promotes new cell growth, it has potent inflammatories, and is very helpful for acne or rocacea skins. There are other ingredients in here that I love like Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate which is a Vitamin C ester and a good one at that. So that's added antioxidant benefits for you. There is C 10-30 C10-30 cholesterol/lanosterol esters which can be a topical antibiotic in some cases. Plus you have some variations of Squalene which is getting to be one of my favorite facial oils in general because of it's thin consistency and benefits to the skin. So going over all that. I think this product is amazing. I think if you do suffer from problematic skin, be it rosacea or cracked dry skin, or if you're going through the flaking of retinol, which is my case, or if you just need a product that's going to plump the skin up and act more youthful. I think this would be a great additive to any routine. I agree with it's claims and I can see what it's done for me. I like the approach they took and the vision they had, I love that there isn't 40 thousand ingredients. I think it's a real underrated break through in skincare and I don't know why more people aren't talking about it. You get 1 oz and it's $89 you can find it at: https://www.ceramiracle.com/products/first-light-the-serum **They did send this to me but this post isn't sponsored**
