This past week maybe , I've really gotten into this particular concoction for my skin. It's making your own tea toner. I say toner but really it just is incredibly soothing for the skin. That's what I'm going to say is it's biggest benefit. So if you have red skin, irritated skin, overly dry, or just need a refreshing kick in the morning, I think you would like this. I seen my good friend The Granola Goat, Liz do this. She used passion fruit. I, however, used the tea that I seen the most in my skincare which is Black Tea an Green Tea. So I made a cup of tea the night before as you would. I put it in a small mason jar and then I set it in the fridge after it had cooled enough to touch. I left it in the fridge until I was going to use it and then I put it back in the fridge. I used a shiseido cotton pads to apply it since they're thicker.
I use this right after cleansing, and then go on with my other products. Or it's great to use when you've used a product that really made your skin angry and you need to calm it down immediately. Now I don't think this will do what specific "soothing products" do but if you need a quick fix I think this could hold you over until you got to your soothing products. The teas I used were organic Green Tea and Black Tea. Just in case you wanted to know. Obviously, use your best judgement here as far as how much water to use, if you should use it (which I don't see why not), and most importantly when you need to make more.
