Tarte just went ham and released a TON of new products for their new line: Rainforest of the Sea. This particular palette above is the Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette. It's a "strobing and perfecting" with "three universal shades". This is available online at Sephora and will be in stores on March 14th. It's $42 and has two shimmery/strobing highlights and then a smaller "perfecting powder" that is a setting powder. It contains about .37 ounces of product. From left to right or top to bottom, however you want to look at it is: Sunrise, Filtered Light, and Moonlight.
Sunrise is a golden highlight. Filtered Light is a powdery light yellow setting powder to "brighten up dark under eyes". Moonlight is darker, it seems really similar to Becca Opal in my opinion a bit warmer though. Sunrise and Moonlight are very very soft and buttery almost. They are very very nice and apply beautifully. Filtered Light is really powdery which I didn't like at first. However, using it to set my concealer under the eyes worked really well. It feels silky and has a bit of slip to it. It doesn't swatch really well so it seemed disappointing at first but using it with a brush made a difference. I feel like these are like Becca Cosmetics and Hourglass Ambient Powder rolled into one. Filtered Light reminds me of Hourglass Diffused Light Ambient Powder but drier. The color is very similar but if you swatch Filtered Light with your finger its very dry and a little chalky feeling. The bigger powders that are your shimmer highlights remind me of the Becca Pressed Powder formula which as well all know if amazing. I think Becca has a bit more pigmentation possibly, or maybe not it's hard to tell because these are really good. It's just hard to think that something could come up against Becca highlighters. I think this might though. Overall, I like this palette a lot. I think for the price, you're getting good quality. The packaging is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. These are pretty standard colors though. So if you have something similar I'm not sure it'd be worth the money to get this as well. If you don't have any of these colors or are just starting to get into highlighting or makeup then I would definitely say get this because its a reasonable price and like I said just really good quality.
