This is a bit of a different post for me as far as reviews go. I'm pretty quite on self tanning because I usually only like a mousse used with a foam mitt or a big body brush. There's only two brands that I like that are mousse. Recently in an Allure box there was some tanning cloths and I decided that it'd be interesting to try them especially for the face, neck, and chest. I did and here's my experience with them: The tanning cloths are from Vita Liberata and they are: "Phenomenal" organic tan infused cloths that is a golden tan that lasts up to 10 days from one cloth and can be used on face and body. Literally, had never tried anything like this for self tanning. One cloth is so saturated first off and huge. I only used it on my face, neck, chest and arms. I didn't wear gloves, and I should've, although it wasn't nearly as bad as it could've been but it took about 4-6 hours to see what you're tan is looking like. I really feel like I had a better idea the next day so I would say it develops more over night. *On the left is directly after washing my face and before using the tanning cloth. On the right is the next morning after washing my face.*
Luckily I took a before and after picture. The reason I'm even talking about this is because the color of the tan was so pretty. It looked stunning. It's by far my favorite self tan color that I've ever had, including professional spray tans. This is also a product that I wouldn't have EVER picked up, no matter what. So good call to Carli Bybel and Allure for putting it in a box. Obviously with as much as I cleanse and do different kinds of exfoliation on my face I knew it wasn't going to last as long as it would in other areas. I was pleasantly surprised though that it faded off in a more natural/even way and not patchy. It did that on both my face and every where else I used it. On the face I would say it lasted around 5 or 6 days and definitely 10 days on my neck and below. I could see using this for an event for sure. I like using the gradual tan from Jergens (or Equate from Walmart, if we're keeping it real) as a body lotion after the shower in the summer. So, I think maybe that combined with one of these cloths to really intensify some of the other areas like chest, shoulders, face, etc would be an ideal situation. They sent two packets of these or two cloths. So I saved one so that I could take a picture of it for you. These aren't available at Sephora, oddly enough, but they are at Nordstrom apparently and also Vita Liberata's website. Anywho, I just thought I would share this with you. I was impressed. I wanted to tell you about it.
