Today's makeup im again using Anastasia Beverly Hills single shadows. They can do no wrong in my eyes as of right now. Sorry there hasn't been many outfit posts lately. I'm just really sick so I've not left the house much this week and not really felt like being out of comfy, slouchy clothes. Today's makeup is using the Anastasia Beverly Hills single shadows and also Jaclyn Hill's lower lash line technique from her latest tutorial. Eyes: ABH: pink champagne, mermaid, dusty rose, and dragonfly. MUG: corrupt Maybelline Gel Liner Red Cherry Lashes in 213 ABH dipbrow in medium brown Face: Maybelline fit me foundation in 210 MUG blush in bliss ABH contour kit Lips: MAC Soar lipliner Gerard cosmetics lipstick in Buttercup 
If you are at all familiar with the makeup community, you have probably heard the hype about these shadows. Well....yea they're awesome. I ordered these yesterday at 1pm they got here today at 6pm. I'm in love. They are the best shadows out right now, in my honest opinion. Not saying that other shadows aren't good but these have the edge on them all. Mainly because of the different formulas to choose from. As you can see I chose to make a whole palette. You can buy them as singles though. They have 83 shades and 8 formulas to choose from I believe. They're $12 a piece or 4 for $40 or 8 for $70. If you have a pro membership with them you can get them at a discount. Without further edu, let's talk swatches. Top to bottom Electro: duo chrome formula. Lilac purple with a blue duo chrome. It's beautiful. This is a hard color to find that isn't too pink or warm. This is glowy and bright but true to its purple tones. China Rose: duo chrome. This is a deep apricot I would say. However it doesn't look orange like some can tend to do. It has a gold duo chrome which I think is what helps it stay peachy coral rather than going to a burnt orange. Dusty Rose: velvet formula. This is a taupe mauvey brown. This formula is like straight up butter. Almost like a cream. It doesn't have a sheen or shimmer really. It's a color I probably wouldn't have chose but I seen Norvina talk about it and it's one of my favorites really. It's soft but such a nice crease color. It looks like it would be really dark and it totally could be but when you blend it, it's so smooth you get such a soft and flattering effect with out looking like you have brown in your crease. Fresh Peach: velvet. This has a satin look to me, with subtle shimmer. It's vibrant but again just like Dusty Rose super blendable into a soft look. Dragon Fly: Duo Chrome. This is like an Emerald with a purple undertone and a blue duo chrome. It's so different from anything I've seen. Perfect name for it. Mermaid: Titanium formula. This and Dragofly are very similar. This honestly has a metal like finish because it's the titanium line but has a lot of green in it I think. Really stunning. Pink Champagne: titanium. This is a pink that is still neutral no matter but it has so much depth to it. It will be perfect for smokey looks or neutral either way. You can swatch it beside L'Oreal Amber Rush and it's similar the shiny look is really close but this is so much deeper and the color is visible instead of just looking foiled or wet. Truffle Glitter: titanium. This is so similar to MAC pigment in Copperized that I have. It's like an olive color. I'm completely obsessed with it. It has little flecks of glitter that really transfer to the lid nicely and they're noticeable as well. 
Yesterday after I had already posted my haul I went to the mailbox and there were my Gerard Cosmetics lipsticks. That weren't due for another day or two. So while that was a nice surprise I was kinda bummed I didn't get to include it. Thus, I'm making this post about them instead. Along with my makeup today that I used them in. The swatches from left to right are: Cherry Cordial, Buttercup, and 1995 Being a true die hard Jaclyn Hill fan of course I bought hers and I'm a sucker for wine colors as we all know. I must say these are super pigmented. Also I really feel like they are long wearing as far as lipsticks are concerned. I apply lip balm before I put lipstick on and I definitely recommend that with these. They're not super duper creamy but understandable because they are long wearing. I don't have anything bad to say. Plus you can get 3 for $29 right now. The code is "3por29" and im not sure how long it lasts but they are constantly doing bundles and discounts. I got it because I was running out of my Glam Glow Supermud and I wanted to try the hydrating one. So far it's the only one I've not tried yet lol. It comes with Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask, Glam Glow Thirsty Mud, Boscia Luminizing Black Mask, and Origins Clear Improvement. My favorite is the Boscia one. It's a peel off and you have to use quite a bit of it to have an easier time peeling it off but it feels like a Biore strip for the entire face. |
