The next step of the skincare Step by Step series is going to be: Moisturizers. People often think of a cream, but really there are a lot of different formulas that moisturize the skin. However, I will be talking about traditional cream/lotion moisturizers because of how I use them. It won't be very long because it's the easiest step I think aside from cleansing. To be fair though it's a very in depth in regards to how it works for the skin. Even without bells and whistles.

I'm writing a blog post for what I #Standfirm for which is a joint campaign I get the honor to be in with Algenist and Free 2 Luv. Free 2 Luv helps spread the positivity and love and support. As does Algenist, I've always admired that about them. Algenist also released their new firming/lifting product Elevate, which I will review later, for this campaign as well. It went off without a hitch on the 15th I believe and it was a beautiful thing to see. Not as much on promotion about the product just seeing what everyone "stood firm" for and I think we need that.....especially right now.
It is now 12:03 am (here in TN) on the 23rd of May. A few hours earlier a bomb was placed out side of Manchester Arena in England while a sold out crowd of 21,000 was enjoying a concert. For the past year, Natasha Denona has slowly and surely taken the makeup world by storm with her eyeshadows specifically. Then she went on to release, God bless her, special palettes like the Star Palette was released around the holidays I think. Now she's released the Sunset Palette. Which as you can imagine with the name, is just a dream for warm, foiled, summer makeup. The palette doesn't disappoint for the group that loves a warm eye. It's beautifully laid out and the palette itself is sturdy and lovely with it's copper/bronze casing
We talk about a lot of stuff on here. A lot of reviews. I rarely take you thru my tricks/shortcuts. Recently I got to use a new brush set and contour kit sent from The Vanity Planet. The brush set is a 15 piece brush set, cruelty free with Premium Synthetic Bristles, wooden handles of Brichwood and very light weight.
Here's a description from the company about the quality of the Bristles: "Made with Premium Synthetic Bristles, the brushes have a silky soft feel and are cruelty free. This particular material is not highly absorbent, so it’s great for applying cream and liquid-based products, as it allows for precise, smooth, and streak-free application" For this post I'm kinda flying by the seat of my pants. There's no agenda, no notes like I usually do. I don't feel like it will be super long. I just have seen a lot of questions about skincare, skincare routines, not to mention we are flooded with products. A lot of people get overwhelmed and if you follow my snap it's easy to get overwhelmed by what I do because I have a lot of steps both morning and night. Plus, I review a lot of skincare on here as well. So it's hard to tell sometimes what might benefit you.
Next in the Step by Step series is going to be Vitamin C. I'm kind of keeping with day time products and then going into night time products unless I can just conjoin the two into one post. So moving on, yeah, Vitamin C. If you aren't using it. Please do. Your skin will thank you. I recommend a Vitamin C before a Retinol, AHA, Mist, etc. etc. For me with people that are like "bare minimum" when it comes to skincare (because hey, not everyone is obsessed with skincare such as I) my standards are: get all your makeup off and THEN use a cleanser to really cleanse the skin properly, please use a moisturizer I don't honestly care what you use just as long as you use one, USE SPF I don't care how old you are you'll thank yourself later, and finally you will benefit greatly from Vitamin C.
Here we have 5 different professional sprays from Kenra Professional. So I thought I would go about this review a bit different than normal. I was first introduced to Kenra products when I was in highschool over 10 years ago. It was their heat protectant spray I believe, that caught my eye. Can't think of the actual name of the product. Since then I've had numerous brands and products that were used by professionals but Kenra has always been a staple at any salon I go to. So I had the opportunity to try several of their products and I decided the best way to review them, put them to the test if you will, was to do casual everyday hair and then formal or intricate styles. That's what I did. I hope you enjoy it.
Exuviance has, yet again, produced a product that I absolutely love. I can't say that about many brands at all. I tend to critique products quite heavily I'm told. I've worked with them several times on A LOT of products. Recently just worked with the "mother ship" NeoStrata who basically through the curve ball ( or hit the grand slam, whatever analogy suits you) at the anti aging game when they discovered Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid and their benefits for the skin. So Exuviance is one of the many "branches" or "offspring" from NeoStrata and it lives up to NeoStrata's amazing reputation. Always has, and I believe it always will.
