Hey guys! Today I have a post for you about some cool new accessories to my collection. I'd like to start doing some more accessories and stuff on here. I'm not a big "fashion" person in regards to clothing because all my clothing is neutrals but I really love spicing it up with fun shoes or a cute bag. The one thing I'm never without is bracelets/cuffs and usually a watch. I love "stacking" bracelets though. I love to mix and match especially. This post is about FINALLY finding so gold cuffs to stack. I think they're a staple of accessories. The look great on their own and they look great mixed with other "arm candy". So these are from Moon Magic. They sent these to me but I was able to pick out what I wanted. I didn't have to do a blog post but I wanted to do one because like I said I'd like to switch up the content a little bit.

Ok guys I wanted to get this post up now, but there will be a more in depth post later and possibly one showing the rest of my watches that I have cause I love watches. However, Jord Watches recently was so kind to send me one of their wood watches. Safe to say I'm in love and actually my husband loves it as well. They have womens watches and mens watches each one is beautiful with several different styles to choose from like: square face, larger boyfriend face, etc. They are offering a giveaway for $100 e gift card code to 1 of my readers/followers but anyone who enters gets a $25 e gift code to use regardless. So enter and get $25 off right off the bat. I'll leave the link below on how to enter it's also in the bio of my instagram as well. The giveaway lasts through the 22nd of January and they will be the ones contacting you, not me.
Here's your link:https://www.woodwatches.com/g/loveandmascara The watch I'm wearing is the Frankie 35 Mint Dark Sandalwood. They have so many beautiful watches, there is an emerald green one that is absolutely stunning but they're all stunning. Many different colors of wood. They can size these watches for you as well. The box it comes in is also all wood and gorgeous with magnetic closures. I'm so impressed. It comes packaged very well with a cleaning cloth and there is a little drawer at the bottom that slides out of the box for you to put extra links in and stuff. They done a fantastic job. Like I said I will be talking more in depth about this later (with a few more ways to style it) I just wanted the giveaway to be posted as soon as possible for you. "It's the most wonderful time of the yearrrrrr........", NO! It's the most stressful, wonderful time of the year, am I right? Don't get me wrong I love Christmas and I LOVE giving gifts but sometimes it can get overwhelming, especially if you wait till November/December to start. Nothing wrong with waiting though because you'll no doubt find a better deal and score some awesome stuff. I however, refused to be stressed this holiday season and literally bought my first Christmas present for this year, after Christmas of last year. I found a major sale so I picked something up for someone. Then I waited a bit and got started in February, yes that's right, February. So I've been buying a present or two each month and I've been done for quiet a while. Still have to pick up some candy though for my husband. Anyway, since I know it can be difficult to decide what to get, I'm doing my usual gift guide. This year however, I went a bit different. Usually I only do Sephora I think but this year, I have stuff from Sephora, Ulta, MAC, Lush, etc. None of this was sponsored by the way. I just wanted to give you more options. So starting with Sephora, let's talk makeup. There are several things out right now in their "value sets" that would be great gifts. I just narrowed it down to what I thought would be good gifts that I either have or would be super excited to get.
Skincare is tricky. So I don't usually recommend going that way unless you know what someone likes or they're just really wanting to try new stuff, or possibly they don't have a skin care regimen to begin with. So for that I found some things that I think would be good gifts to start with and then good gifts to just try and see if you would like it.
Next up is a couple really good sets for hair. Some people are makeup junkies, some are skin care junkies, and some are hair care junkies.
Now lets head on over to Ulta. I picked out a few things only because they have massive Black Friday sales. So definitely check that out on Black Friday online or in store.
MAC always puts out beautiful Holiday sets. They put out collections 24./7 but Holiday sets are always beautiful and you know there will be a pigment set, eyeshadow palette, lip sets, and so on. Those are the staples. Now I will say of all the stuff they release I stick to face powders like blushes, skin finishes, highlighters and so on, loose pigment sets (you can't go wrong there), and lip sets (again you can't go wrong). For gift's though I would stick to lip sets or the blush and highlight duo I've included. It's out of stock online but it's usually still available in store. I don't care for their eye palettes they just aren't the best quality if I'm being completely honest. I do however LOVE these lip gloss sets this year. I love all of them but especially the nude and the red set. They're mini but still pretty good sized and the colors are beautiful. I would give that as a gift for sure especially for a teen who's into makeup or a gift for a friend. I'm also bringing in some bath products and the most unique bath products I've found have to be from LUSH. They make fantastic products period not just bath stuff and it's hand made I believe as well. They also always have gift sets. So I included some gift sets I thought would be the best value and looked the coolest. As you can see there are some that have more than bath bombs, bath melts, and bubble bars, they also have some soaps and shower jellies. There are more online of course that offer shampoo's, conditioners, and so on. So if you know someone who really enjoys their bath time and likes to pamper theirself. I would get them some LUSH products for sure. The bath bombs alone would make them enjoy it 10x more with all the colors and scents swirling around them. Also I find that unless you have an enormous tub it's best to break the bath bombs, bubble bars or bath melts apart so that you get more use out of them. So maybe half now, and half later sorta thing.
I'm going to leave some honorable mentions here: Morphe Gun Metal Brush Set has 7 brushes from the Gun Metal line that I love, and is $50. I'm sure there will be a Black Friday sell though. This will be under "Brush Sets" on their site. Pay attention to the shipping though. Shipping was $10 the last time I got something from Morphe and I won't lie that turned me off to buying from them lately. They went to USPS for a short while and it was great but now they're back to strictly Fedex I think. That may have been for just the palette I was buying though. Never the less, pay attention to that. Bauble Bar Holiday Sets. Bauble Bar has some really beautiful boxed sets and jewelry pieces right now for the Holidays. I really love their boxed set of statement earrings they have. They also have a code for 30% off their Holiday pieces right now with code: Holiday30. Makeup Geek has and is often releasing bundles of eyeshadows with palette included. They recently had a warm berry toned fall one. It almost always has at least 2 foiled shadows in it. Watch Marlena's twitter and also their Instagram for flash sales that pop up. I believe last year they did a 12 days of Christmas sale or something of the sort. You get 9 shadows typically and always for a good price. I love Makeup Geek shadows as you well know. **UPDATE** They have released the preview for Black Friday Sales which you can scope out now. It's killer! https://www.makeupgeek.com/sales.html If you know someone who is a true makeup junkie then storage can be a good gift. Some people don't get excited over that but I do. Clear acrylic drawer containers are awesome cause they can be stacked and de clutter your vanity. Also a brush holder is always nice. I used wine glasses for the longest time until I found a turning six compartment pencil holder I guess was what it was designed for but I put my brushes in it and it works wonderfully plus I love that it spins around in a circle. As always for the person who has everything, gift cards are great. I love gift cards. If you won't be able to see someone to exchange presents due to distance or whatever than you can send e-gift cards through email, I've done that as well. Some people say it's not personal or they just never use them but I always put mine to good use. Here's some stores that will have black friday and cyber monday sales:
Happy shopping guys and be kind to one another. This is the season of giving. Merry Christmas!! I've never been the type to do "monthly favorites". I used to do a "fave product of the week" post but I got lazy with that. So I'm just gonna do a mash up of some products that I freaking love as of late. **The image above is from the Sephora site.** So this is the Foreo Mini that I got when my Luna Play went down for the count after like 20 uses (fail). I've actually went ahead and got the even bigger one now as well because I love these so much. My skin texture is what is most noticeable. It's so smooth. This is a 3 area style cleanser. It will pulse when it's time to go to your next area. So how I use it is, I do one cheek, side of the nose and half the chin, then once it pulses I switch to the other cheek and do the same thing, then lastly I do my entire forehead and bridge of the nose. I love this thing. It's rechargeable and lasts for quite a while on a full charge. This is less expensive than the others but it's still pretty expensive. **this picture above is from the Sephora site** I got this in a trio set of Amore Pacific products. This is the Moisture Bound spray. I have a video using the products here from my Instagram. I just like how nice this feels on the skin and how refreshing it is. Plus it smells really good. I also have their mositurizer and their cleanser which also smells amazing but this is the stand out product for me and I use it every night after I've used my Foreo Mini. I usually use it especially if my skin is feeling really sensitive and uncomfortable. It's not super dewy it's a very fine mist. It's a brand you don't hear much about but I think the whole line is at Sephora now. **this picture is also from Sephora's site** I've already done a blog post all about the Benefit brow products that were recently released. I'll leave that link here, it's more in depth. This is the Goof Proof. I've not put it down since I got it though. It's simple to use and it makes it easy for me to both define, sculpt and fill in my brows. It allows so much pigmentation and it doesn't feel heavy on the brows. I got these press on nails from Static Nails on a whim, they weren't very expensive and I just decided to buy them. I don't know why because I've always hated press on nails. These are no joke though. Not at all. I swear these are better than professionally done acrylics. They are even paintable. So if you get tired of the design you can paint them. The only down side is that my glue actually glued the lid shut to it when I used it the first time. So you're supposed to be able to take these off whenever you want and then pop them back on when you want them on again. In my opinion you might get two separate wears out of it. None the less they are awesome. My advice is when you apply them at first just plan on wearing them as long as you can. I did paint mine and the nail polish chipped easily on them. So I don't think painting them is always the best option but maybe on the solid colors it would work better. This is the "Shattered Glass" style. They have others with crystals on them and some with "red bottoms". They're very cool. I've done a whole blog post talking about my devotion to the Jouer Lip Cremes. I'll leave the link here for that. I will eventually have every color because they smell like cupcakes and they're honestly the best liquid lip I've ever used. They are so comfortable and wear so well it's amazing honestly. Lastly, it's not makeup related at all. This was sent to me from Ettika and Free People. I believe it's called the "velvet star choker" and has about 5 shades. I got the tan/camel shade cause well....obviously it's gorgeous. This is my first choker and I love this. It just looks so different. This can be found in Free People stores and on www.freepeople.com.
Halloween is over. My skin hurts. I've spent the day trying to get it to stop burning and feeling so dry. So I thought, why not post about what I do in such circumstances.
This is not my everyday routine. This is when my skin needs some help. My normal routine is much more simple. First I spray through out the day with Caudalie Grape Water spray. It's a spray "toner' that soothes and moisturizes skin. It's good for sensitive skin and it is very dewy. It feels so good on the skin. It's probably my most necessary product Next I used a soothing face mask. I used Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask today. I rarely use this but I had ran out of Sephora sheet masks and eye masks and desperately needed something so I used this. I would've rather had a Sephora mask but this works well too. After that I used thick moisturizer. I used L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Cream. It's very thick and feels (and smells) amazing. I used it this morning and at night. For my eyes I used Origins Ginzing Refreshing eye cream this morning. They were looking pretty rough so I used this to depuff and birghten the area it's also kinda thick. Then at night I used a thicker eye cream from Clarins called Super Restorative Eye Concentrate. Lastly I used Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil. I rarely use this because the smell is intense. The reason I do use it thought is because of the Blue Tansy and Chamomille oils in it. They're whole purpose is to soothe. This also has Retinol but the Blue Tansy keeps the skin from getting irritated by it. I used the oil first at night before I spray my toner, or use my moisturizers, since it's a serum. Other than that, I just try to get a good night's sleep and hydrate as much as possibly. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I do plan on using the Cover FX Calming Primer tomorrow along with a sponge to apply my foundation so that it's not rubbing on the skin. I also won't be using glitter for a little while as well lol. Some of these products are really expensive some other good alternatives are: Argan Oil, Origins Night A Mins moisturizer, Sanitas Oil Free Moisturizer, Aloe Vera gel, Sephora sheet and eye masks ($5) , and Witch Hazel. Occasionally I do a fashion related post on here. Today is your lucky day. I have been looking for druzy cuffs for about a year. I've seen plenty, sure, but they were quite expensive. So I loved them from afar. I was on Etsy while I was in the hospital and I found the best little shop, Ocean Bella Hawaii. The had affordable Druzy cuffs with 2 price points. I got the more colorful, freeform, ones but the neutral ones are positively gorgeous and have a thicker band and I'm definitely going to get some of those. Of course cuffs isn't the only thing Jaylene offers there are necklaces and more. If you dig that boho vibe or really get into the wire stone bracelets like Bourbon and Boweties then check these out. I know they're cuffs and not wire bracelets but I think they're gorgeous mixed in with all kinds of stacks of bracelets from wire bangles to more simple bracelets. They're a great pop of color or just flat out complimentary to what you're wearing. I'm wearing the pink, turquoise blue and yellow. I love them. Don't press on the druzy to tighten them to the wrist, press on the wire so you don't loosen the stone.
Seriously go check out her page. You'll see some really cute things that are begging to be yours. So for a while I've been following Norvina on Instagram. She's not only good at makeup as well as the daughter of Anastasia Beverly Hills but she's basically the one that comes up with, approves, etc all their company's products aside from brows. I also love her style as far as hair, and clothes. She mentioned this company a few months back called Time Los Angeles. She had this really cute shirt that said Born To Blend or something. I went and checked it out and the price was really good. Like $24 for the shirt she showed. They do alot of black apparel but also some white. Not very many other colors. They are well noted for their phone cases and their "mean mua" shirts that say "You Can't Blend With Us". Super cute. If you can't tell everything is makeup related. They have tanks, slouchy tops, tees, bottoms, decor, accessories, so on so forth. They just done a sale though where the site was 20% off your purchase. So I placed an order because the prices were reasonable anyway and 20% off is just an added bonus. It's hard for me to review clothing. It's cut and dried to me. It either works for you or it doesn't. So I got a long sleeve off the shoulder tee and then a drapey/off the shoulder short sleeve tee that is probably one of their more popular styles. The long sleeve was $20 and the short sleeve was $17. Those are regular prices not after the 20% off discount. So not bad at all. I got a size up in both things, I like to have stuff a little more on the baggy side and it's better to have it too big than a little too snug, in my opinion. They go up to a 2X I believe so that's great. The material is thin so at first it was a little clingy on the arms and then it stretched out and was fine. In the picture above I'm wearing the "daily routine" tee. I like wearing it off the shoulder it doesn't always want to stay that way though. It still fits and feels good. Like I could sleep in it. The long sleeve was hard to wear off the shoulder and the forearms were kinda tight where the rest of it fit baggy. I don't care though it's still very comfy and I think it's super cute. I got a lot of weird looks wearing it running errands. No I don't have a black soul, it's just sarcasm people. I'm still a nice person ( I think). It's the thing I love most about the company is how edgy they are and a little on the dark side. I'm just thoroughly impressed and I love that everything is makeup related.
They have candles that I really want and I would like a phone case as well. Everything is made once you've ordered, so you do have to wait a while, I waited a week or more for mine to ship. Granted they were in the middle of a big sale though. The girl who created this is fantastic at makeup as well. So it was created by a genuine makeup lover which I appreciate. Follow them on instagram (@timelosangeles) and follow me as well (@lovemascara). Give them a look. Check out their site, I'm seriously debating ordering a phone case as soon as I'm done with this post. So today's makeup is colorful as always, because let's face it colorful is my neutral. Eyes: MUG: Mango Tango, Pixie Dust, Bitten, Corrupt, and Peach Smoothie and Insomnia pigment. Gel liner in Immortal. Lashes are Hollyhood from Luxy Lash ABH: dip brow Medium Brown Face: Nars All Day Luminous foundation Kat Von D Shade Light Contour Kit Becca Flowerchild blush Lips: Gerard Cosmetics: 1995 lipstick Outfit details Old Navy Boyfriend Jeans JCrew Polka Dot Sweater Earrings from Bauble Bar Sunglasses Betsey Johnson Sandals Tory Burch Bracelets everywhere (etsy has good ones) I don't do alot of fashion posts but I wanted to do this one. Recently I was shopping on Jane.com. It's an online company that does flash sales for boutiques that last 1 or 2 days. I actually really like it. I bought from Groopdealz for a long time and then it got changed to Eleventh Ave. and the prices started going up. Not a huge increase but it's just not the same. So as I was on Jane's app I see these studs that were exactly like the Kate Spade Small Square Studs. The Kate Spade ones I absolutely love but they're $38. Which isn't all that bad cause they're made really good plus Kate Spade is so good to do 25% off from time to time and flash sales as well. Here's a little update. I have to have a small surgery on Wednesday thanks to these pesky health issues I've been having lately. However my incredibly sweet husband took me on a date to our living room and got us a movie and popcorn and Cherry Coke. I know it doesn't seem like something special but it is to me. And we dress for the part people. No sweat pants or pajamas. We treat it like a real movie date. So let me speed past the outfast details: Top: Dainty Hooligan wrap top Necklace: Bauble Bar layered necklace Earrings: from my Husband :) but they were from Henri Bendel Ok real fast I want to say my brows weren't jiving with me today. They got really thick and boxy and the more I tried to fix it the worse it got. That's the joys of have dark hair. You almost always look like you have sharpie brows. Moving on.....
Eyes: ABH: Bengal, Deep Plum, and Smoke (darker colors are on the outer and inner corners to do the whole "halo" effect) Loreal Pressed Pigment in Amber Rush ( this is under the next color. It's a foiled look which I really liked but I added the next color over it for the pink glitter it had in it which made the darker colors look very cool. So this isn't necessary if you don't have it or don't like it. Leave the center of you lid blank with no product directly on it that way you're center pop of color will really stand out) Colour Pop: Too Soon (center of the lid and lower lash line) Kiss Lashes: Chic Stila: Precision Brow Pencil in Medium Brown (so far I'm not a fan of this.) Face: Lioele BB Cream as foundation ABH Powder Contour Kit Becca Songbird blush Stila Shimmer Duo in Kitten Lips: Stila Liquid Lipstick in Bellisima ( I was right about this it lasted about 6 hours before having to be touched up. The only bummer was that as it faded it really clung to my dry patches in my lips and turned a different color. That can be fixed with more lip balm so it's not a big deal. I do absolutely love this color and formula though.) |
