I just got some new lip pencils in the mail today. I couldn't wait to try them out. I discovered this company through Instagram. It's Colour Pop Cosmetics and the great part is the lip pencils and lip stix are just $5 a piece. If you sign up for emails you get $5 off your first order. It took over a week for them to get to me but it was well worth it. It is after all the holiday season so I'm sure things are hectic. Swatched from left to right: Feminist (what I'm wearing) a blackened purple Clique an orange red Pitch a brown with hints of red. This are insane. The pencil itsself is heavy and feels nice so I'm all for the packaging. It's a pencil that has to be sharpened which is fine cause I like pencils to be pointy. The formula is so long wearing and soft. I've tried the purple and the red I've ate and drank and they haven't moved. You get a little transfer of your lips touch something but they don't wear off. I'm so impressed with these. They are the best I've tried. It takes a lot of effort to get these to come off as well so keep that in mind. Almost act like a lipstain in some ways. Today's makeup is a go to look for me I guess. I love doing this and using the colors I used. It's appropriate for fall and also for the Holidays cause it's so warm and vibrant. Reminds you of cranberries and such I think. Eyes: These colors are some of my favorites. I would wear them everyday if I could. Coastal Scents: Dark Mango, Maroon Berry, Vibrant Plum, Coral Pink MUG Corrupt eyeshadow in the very corner. It's worth mentioning that I use Dark Mango first and then build on top of it. You won't necessarily see the brightness of the eyeshadow when you do that but you'll get the warmth and glowiness from it. Red Cherry Lashes in 213 ABH dip brow in Medium Brown Face: Diorskin Star Foundation MUG Bliss Blush ABH Contour Kit Lips Sephora lipstain in 02 This week my stand out product has been these Kiss Lashes in Vamp. I got these for 1.99 at Walgreens. Now first Red Cherry Lashes are my absolute favorites. I like how curved they are. They fit my eye perfectly and I don't have to trim them. These however are really natural looking which I like. They're the feather light ones so obviously they're super light weight but they're just all around way more natural. I also buy them in "Shy" but I stopped because Red Cherry was cheaper I could buy 3 for the price of 1 of these and like I said they fit better. These being 1.99 at the time and with me running out of my regular 213's I bought them in a pinch. I wish now that I would've gotten every pair. Even thought they're a little harder to put on they're still worth it for the natural look they give. Have a great week! I'm all about navy and purple lately apparently. Eyes: ABH single shadows: Dragonfly and Electro Lumikki Cosmetics: Aegean Sea pigment on the inner half Red Cherry Lashes in 213 ABH dip brow Face: Givenchy Photo Perfexion Foundation MAC Careblend Pressed Powder on Dark BH Cosmetics in Tulip TheBalm Mary Lou-Minizer Lips: Gerard Cosmetics: Buttercup Lipstick Outfit details Vest from The Rage Boutique Cardigan from American Eagle Canvas Grey Slip Ons from Rue 21 ($5) Navy Glitter Studs from Kate Spade Bangles from The Boutique mostly. This is kinda a classic go to look for the holidays. I love doing my makeup around Christmas and New Years because you can be really bold or glittery and it's not misplaced at all. Eyes: Abh Shadow in Bengal, Red Earth, Deep Plum MAC pigments over top in Whisper Pink and Heritage Rouge. Red Cherry Lashes in 213 ABH Dip Brow Face: Givenchy Photo Perfexion foundation MUG blush in Romance MAC Careblend Pressed Powder in Dark theBalm Mary Lou-minizer highlighter *i wanted the face to be very glowy and healthy. Not overly contoured and flat. Just effortless and very healthy Lips: Bite Beauty VIB Rouge lipstick MAC Smoked Purple lipstick I used a lip brush to apply these and make it into any ombre lip. So not your typical red lip, more red and berry colored. I also used a red shadow to make it extra matte. Today I'm testing a new foundation. I'm using Givenchy Photo Perfexion foundation from Sephora. I'd been looking at it for a while because you don't hear a lot about it. I recently used up a few of my foundations so I bought some different ones like Diorskin Star Foundation and Maybelline Fit Me. I wanted something a little lighter though cause I like my foundation to be yellow based and usually they are a little dark but this one was yellow based but still really fair. The top photo is no makeup Bottom left is foundation and concealer Right side is full completed makeup This has a perfume scent which I like. If you don't like heavily scented things I'd stay away from it though. The consistency is really similar to Makeup Forever HD as is the color that I got. So I wear 117 in MUFE and in this I got 101 Perfect Beige. I would say it's a medium coverage but buildable I could still see my skin through the foundation while applying it but not my imperfections really. I applied this using a flat top kabuki brush because that generally has better coverage for me. I also used my Dr Jart+ Black Label Detox Beauty Balm like always underneath this so that as well helps with covering imperfections too. This is .08 ounces for $48. The dior is a full ounce. I would've liked it to have a full ounce in it especially since it's not completely full coverage. I still like the Diorskin a little better but I like this color much better. I'm pleased with it so far. I'll be wearing it for the next few days to really see how it holds up and photographs so on so forth. This Holiday makeup is all green and gold. I find that it's incredibly hard to find a good green eyeshadow that's good for Christmas. Usually they all are way to neon and bright or too dark they look black or have blue tints. Eyes: NYX Jumbo Stick in Milk as a base Makeup Geek: Peach Smoothie and Envy and their pigment in After Glow Urban Decay: Mildew and Foxy shadow Kiss lashes in Vamp ABH dipbrow in Medium Brown Face: Diorskin Star Foundation MAC Careblend Pressed powder in Dark MUH blush in Bliss Laura Mercier Highlight 01 Lips: YSL Lipstick in 3 Beige Ultimate Also if you're interested my earrings are from Bauble Bar. Check them out they are doing 12 days of baubles for the next few days. Lots of good deals and sales going on right now. I got these for just $15 at the time! Excuse me hiatus I've had a minor health back set but feeling better right now. Makeup always makes me feel better though. As my husband always says "part of feeling good is looking good". And he's right I must say. Eyes: ABH: Noir, Dragonfly, China Rose, Violet and Bengal Makeup Geek: Insomnia pigment Kiss feather lashes in Vamp ABH dipbrow in Medium Brown Face: Diorskin Star Foundation Smashbox Radiance blush Too Faced Chocolate Bronzer Lips: Nars lipgloss in Angelika This is inexpensive makeup all the way around.
