It was time for a change. A hair change. I, typically, do my hair myself or let one of my dearest friends who just so happens to be a Hair Guru do some of the more difficult stuff when she has time. As far as cutting and color I've been doing a lot of it on my own lately. Truthfully though, with color I've just not been keeping it up as much. Got a lot on my plate right now, had surgery for a port to be put in, have the same super infection for the 4th time, hospital stays, etc etc. So thanks to my mother, she talked me into making an appointment to get my hair colored and cut at an actual salon as a "pick me up" type thing. I mean who doesn't feel more confident when fresh new styled hair? It didn't take long for me to agree and thus I did what every girl with social media or access to the internet does....I hit up Pinterest. I knew that I wanted something a little edgy, a bit trendy but subtle, and a splash of color. We all know how much I love color. For years I'd kept my hair brown, red brown, auburn, or ashy brown. I didn't usually get too far from "brown" though. I'm not one for highlights of blond, I did try that a few times and it didn't suit me. Darker colors have always been my area. I thought about all the trends I was seeing from: ombre to oil slick, pastel unicorn hair to grey ashy based hair, so on so forth. Then I ran across a picture of a "steel blue" color after tons of bright vivid blues and purples. The steel blue was so subtle but still noticeable, it had that edge I was looking for and it wasn't over the top, super trendy, either because it was so subtle. Above we have some before and after pictures. I had no idea how reddish brown my hair actually was until it was side by side with the new soft black and blue tinted hair. Plus we added some higher layers to it. The cool part about this is the color shifts depending what color shirt I wear. If I wear a greenish blue shirt my hair looks more teal, if I wear a sky blue my hair looks like a ashy blue, if I wear black it's not incredibly noticeable because then it's like a dark navy. For that alone I really like the transition. Now I wouldn't say this is a typical ombre, we sliced some blue in the top parts of my hair as well. A standard ombre is usually just a gradient fade that changes to a completely different color at the end of the hair. If it's done correctly it looks seamless and beautiful, if you're not careful it can look rather harsh with no blending or fading to your bottom color. So this style in particular is a bit more natural as far as placement goes. There's nothing natural about blue hair I know, but you catch my drift. The blue is not so concentrated on the ends of the hair but more throughout the hair but not to the root. Plus not all the ends are blue some are just the soft black with a bit of blue peaking in hear and there. That being said, even though we went several levels darker than my previous color to this, we still had to lift the hair some so that the blue would actually look noticeable and not just tinted. We did a very low volume of 2 to bleach some of the pieces and even then my hair stylist kept checking it and only let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, so there was no damage to the hair. When we washed out the bleach she cut in the layers I wanted before coloring the hair as to not waste product and have a better idea of where she would be placing the color after seeing how the hair laid. She used Paul Mitchell color I believe for the soft black and Pravana Vivids for the blue hues. Which always seems to make the hair look very shiny and healthy afterwards. She did the entire color (soft black and blue) at the same time and let it sit for about 30-40 minutes. The thing with brighter colors is that, they are going to fade. No matter what. Most color fades eventually but bright colors fade faster than anything. So color care shampoos are a must. The soft black won't fade very much or maybe barely any at all but the blue will lighten probably, which is good because then it will be even more noticeable. It's important, I feel, to give yourself that flexibility and space to where it's ok for you're hair to lighten up or fade a bit. I actually prefer it that way as opposed to knowing its going to look amazing and perfect the day I do it and then when I wash it, I'll be less satisfied. So in that respect I'd rather go a little darker while still in the realm of what I wanted, knowing that in a few weeks it's going to fade and stay the lighter version for longer. See what I'm saying? Also know that, this could also take a series of sessions depending on what you wanted done. So before doing this make sure you're ready to commit to maybe 2-3 sessions of lightening the hair before getting the results you want. You don't want to jeopardize the health of your hair by being too impatient with it and not letting it have a rest from bleach and what have you. Mainly because if you've done a lot of color in your life the ends of the hair is what hold the most of that color as the root of the hair is new growth and has no color on it. So to color the ends only, you'll need to take some of that color off to be able to get the desired effect and so that the hair will take more color and keep more of the color you're wanting. This is the second run of "refreshing the color". It took on a more teal look, and in some areas it was more like an oil slick vibe. We did some experimenting and put a blue tinted soft black on the hair we didn't lighten it any the second time so that my hair could "rest". The brighter shades she was using on me was from the Pravana ChromaSilk Vivids line of course. The black I believe was Paul Mitchell color again. The thing that I think really changed the tint of my hair and made it have so much more dimensional was we put some heat on it for about 10-15 minutes. That's with the blue tint all over my hair. You wouldn't think that would make much difference but it really did in my opinion and then we washed it out cold of course to close the cuticle of the hair again. When we were done we had an array of color shifts in my hair and now nearly two months later it's still holding strong. It looks super cool. I want to quickly say how awesome my salon is and if you're in my area then definitely check them out: His and Hers Salon. I'll link their facebook page here. They are all super talented and special thanks to Vannah for always taking care of me and for turning my hair into a very awesome cut, style, and color. So the color care that I use is broke down into a home routine and then a travel routine because there's a lot of times I'm not home.
At home I use: Amika Color pHerfection Shampoo (it's a thin consistency which I don't like cause I feel like it doesn't lather really well but my color hasnt budged) Then I use Amika Nourishing Mask. I swear by this for everybody. It hasn't hindered my color, it's made my hair grow I'm certain and if I don't use it my hair gets super dry and frizzy. I never used conditioner or anything before I got this. Now I can't go without it. It can be used as a mask or a conditioner either one. They can be found at Sephora or Amazon. When I'm away from home I use the travel size of StriVectin for color treated hair. It smells awesome and it comes in individual or a trio set at Sephora as well. I don't use a ton of heat on my hair. I rarely blow dry it. I do curl it but usually just once a week. Even then I use a thermal heat protectant spray like the Paul Mitchell one. I wash my hair about every 3 days or so. I always use plenty of conditioner now and let it sit on there for a few minutes. I occasionally do a DIY hair mask from Pinterest. Usually involving eggs or something and that really makes a difference as far as having shiny, healthy hair.

I've never done one of these posts, but I really enjoy watching videos about people's "empties". So I thought what the heck?
So here's the list of products I've used up or are on their last legs and whether or not I would repurchase them. Sephora Honey Eye Mask: This is supposed to Nourish and Balance I can't say as it done that. It was a very nice eye mask but I really prefer the Rose and Pearl eye masks so I probably won't repurchase this specific one. Too Faced Glitter Glue: This lasts a super long time like I've had mine well over a year, maybe even two. I think I want to try something different. I'm very curious about the Lit glitter glue or the Violet Voss glitter glue. This was rather expensive. I'm not sure what Lit will be price wise but Violet Voss is less than half of this one. So I don't think I'll repurchase this one. NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk: This I've already repurchased. I can't live without this as a base. I even have Black Bean as a black base and love it too. So definitely yes, I need a stash of these so I never run out. Benefit Eye Bright: I've had this quite a while. It's a very dry pencil and it didn't really work for me. I tried even using it as a brown highlight and that was a better option than for under the eyes, so no this won't be repurchased. Caudalie Grape Water: I LOVE this. It will be repurchased over and over as well. It's a spray toner and it's sooooo good when my skin is irritated. Paul Mitchell Hot Off The Press thermal protection hairspray. I love this as well. It will be repurchased. It protects your hair from heat damage and it's just enough "hold" for me because I don't need a lot. Amika Nourishing Mask: This is a hair mask/conditioner. It can be used everyday as a mask or as plain conditioner. I will repurchase this. It's the only conditioner that doesn't weigh my hair down or make it oily. Laura Mercier Oil Free Supreme Foundation: I don't even know if they make this anymore. It's so thick and cakey that I just don't see myself using it. I can get full coverage from products that aren't as heavy and this was pretty expensive. MAC Fix Plus: I like this for patting on dry areas or spraying on a brush but it's a little too oily for me. I kinda want to repurchase it but I'm not sure. I think I might go with Urban Decay Chill setting spray instead. I have the All Nighter spray and I like it a lot for actually setting makeup to not move but I think I'd like Urban Decay Chill setting spray to help when my skin is dry. Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 (toner): I love this. It's just witch hazel, alcohol, and menthol for the most part I think. It does a great job and maybe on down the road I would get it again but I have other harsher toners that I like as well. Plus the Grape Water from Caudalie is a toner as well. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer: I liked this at first but toward the end it just got thicker and thicker and made me look older. I love the color. (Vanilla) I just think a thinner product like the next one is better, so no I won't repurchase it. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer: I love this, used every bit of it, and have already repurchased it. This is literally weightless. It's full coverage and doesn't settle into my fine lines or make me look older. So there ya go, some I would and have bought again. Others, not so much. It's that time of year again.....time for school supplies, getting up early, seeing your friends again and looking like a real live person 5 days a week. So I'm bringing you an easy makeup routine and hair that will let you sleep in a few minutes longer. This is all about products that will multi task, last and work fast. (hey that rhymed) So for this look I used Smashbox #shapematters palette for the face and eyes. You could also use it for brows but I used Benefit Gimme Brow Voluminizing Brow Gel. It's just quicker. For lips I used Sephora Collection Rouge Infusion in Peony which is #19 I think. So with the eyes I kept it kinda neutral but with some color. It's a shimmery mauve pink and a deep eggplant color on the outer corner. Blended with a peachy color in the crease. No liner. Tons of mascara. Brows I just swept Gimme Brow through, I made them kinda feathery though. I wanted a more natural unkempt look. For the face I used the contour powder for contour, bronzer for blush and glow for the highlight. I set my under eye area with the highlight (matte yellow) shade from the palette. My foundation is MUFE Ultra HD foundation. Your foundation, or bb cream will work just fine. Lips are a liquid lipstick that is actually more sheer and stays shinier. So it doesn't have the staying power of a matte liquid lipstick but it does stay on very well. The color is like a more intense color of my own lips which looks really nice. So this look is clean, fresh and a little smokey. For the hair I found this on Pinterest. I do recommend using clear elastics or really really thin elastics for it. It was really easy and something different to try. It took me about 3 minutes, if that.
So there ya go. If you have a setting spray then I recommend using it but if you don't want to that's fine too. Always have a sponge, brush or pouf in your bag to buff out any creases or dab away any shine. I recently got the new Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation from Frends Beauty. I really liked the old version and I was literally at the very end of the bottle so I thought I would give this a try. They are discontinuing the old one and this is the same price. There are 40 shades available. There are new shade names but it has a conversion chart. My original shade was 117 and my new shade is Y225 as seen below. The idea behind the ultra HD is that it's supposed to be more invisible, more lightweight and natural looking. It's medium coverage and developed for film and TV and "completely invisible under the latest 4K lens". This also comes in a stick formula. When swatched, this seemed a little more sheer than I liked I actually had to get more product to have a better swatch. So here is the old formula and the new formula side by side. The left swatch is the original and the right swatch is the new. The colors match perfectly. The old formula is a little thicker and a bit better coverage. It could be thicker because I've had it for a long time so keep that in mind. The new formula is breathable and still has good coverage to be thinner. The top left picture is no makeup obviously. You can tell I have some redness, my dark circle are alive and kicking, and some little spots. The bottom left is just under eye corrector and one layer of the Ultra HD. On the right is the finished product. I went very minimal so that nothing takes away from the actual foundation. It has some concealer under the eyes and some bronzer and that's about it for the face. It done a great job. I used it over Makeup Forever Hydrating Primer and it really performed well. I only used one layer and I'm very satisfied. This will be great for freelance artists and if you have trouble finding your correct shade in other brands I seriously doubt you'll have that issue with this. It's weightless, it feels like nothing. It doesn't transfer. Just all around really really nice. This formula is a "like skin but better" finish. Which in my mind translates to satin. It's not dewy on me at all. It's not matte though either. I think some people refer to matte as "mask like" or thick like paint. When it's really just no shine/sheen what so ever. Matte formulas are best for those who are particularly oily skin. The rest of this makeup is:
NARS New Lover gloss stick MAC Careblend Pressed Powder in Dark Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep and that's it Ardell Demi Wispies Makeup Geek Mocha in the crease Pretty low key huh? This hair is the Side Pony Tail Loop that I learned by watching Sam Villa on Youtube. Very easy and he does really awesome videos on everything to do with hair. This post is going to be about some old products that I love and have used for years, and also some new products that I'm trying out. I've been on a real "hair kick" lately and not for products specifically, just actually getting my hair very healthy and taking better care of it. Everything you put into your body comes out through your hair, literally. So since I've been very sick the past few months and had so much medicine, my hair was looking dull and brittle. So I started doing some research on the best products for healthier hair. I honestly didn't really have any type of "therapy" for my hair at home because I've never really been extremely into hair products. Not that I don't like them it's just that I get build up incredibly easy, (like one day of dry shampoo is a weeks worth of clarifying shampoo) and also my hair is pretty manageable as far as keeping in curl and what not. So I'll let you in on my routine right now. Shampoo (2-3 times a week) Hair Mask (once a week) Dry Shampoo (only if necessary) Styling Products usually once or twice a week (I'll explain) For shampoo I switch back and forth usually between two-three shampoos. Depending on what I'm needing. I use Pantene Classic Clean when I have buildup and only then. I use a color care shampoo if I have fresh color on my hair (which I don't right now). I use LUSH Big Shampoo for very voluminous hair with a lot of body, I use it maybe once or twice a month because it makes my scalp itch if I use it constantly. The other times I use a restoring shampoo to take care of my hair on the reg. Which I will talk about on down. I don't have a conditioner that I really like which is why I didn't include one. I'm not one that buys the shampoo and conditioner in a line. I usually am never happy with a conditioner, like ever. My hair gets super weighted down and it gets oily in no time flat. So that's why I use a hair mask regularly because I know conditioning is incredibly important to the hair's health and texture. This first product is a nourishing mask from Amika. I ordered this off of Amazon that's where I found the best deal because alot of places wanted around $20+ for it. You can use this once a week or for everyday conditioner. This is relatively new to me so I'm only using it once a week. Only because products build up so quickly on my hair. I will say though that it feels great on the hair. You leave it on for about 2-3 minutes and then rinse. This made my hair incredibly soft and it didn't weight it down in the least. When my hair was dry my hair was still soft and no build up. So major plus for that. This has a very strong fragrance though. So if you don't like that then don't buy it. Also I have a post on a DIY Hair Mask from a few days ago. It also was very good and made my hair quite soft. Not as good as this one but still good if you are in a pinch or are feeling like a DIY project. These are some new products I got. I got the small size of the Clean Freak refreshing dry shampoo because I've yet to find one that works on my dark hair and doesn't turn it ashy or feel like my scalp is suffocating under product. This is an aerosol spray and I must say it really worked and worked very good. It was light and wasn't heavily scented either. I got the cult favorite Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. I didn't think I would like it because again, build up, and also because I had a fear of nineties crunchy curls from hair spray and gel. You use it on damp hair and then you can blow dry your hair, or let it air dry into "beachy waves". I let mine air dry. I didn't notice beachy waves but it didn't make my hair sticky or like I sprayed a whole can of hair spray on it. So I like it I feel like it's very low on how much texture it gives but I like that as well. My hair hold curl very good so I don't need a lot of product. Only when I've used a hair mask do I actually need things that help keep the style in my hair because when it's super soft it's also silky and doesn't hold curl. These products have been with me a while. I love them. On the left is the Paul Mitchell Extra Body Daily Boost. It's sprayed onto the roots when your hair is wet and it adds extra volume. It smells nice as well. The other product is Paul Mitchell Hot Off The Press thermal spray. This is a heat protectant and light hold hairspray. Also smells very nice. I don't use this as much as I should. I don't like hairspray much at all but as this works as a protection from heat damage I should use it more. It's the only hair spray I use though and it's the one I prefer if I have a choice. These are the two shampoos that I'm rotating right now mainly. I didn't show my Pantene Classic Clean which is what I use for build up. The Loreal Total Repair 5 I got on sale at Walgreens for $5 I think. I heard it was very good though. I really like it too. It makes my hair feel clean but it also is very nourishing without weighting it down like a moisturizing shampoo can do. It's supposed to be good if healthy hair is your goal. LUSH Big Sea Salt Shampoo. This is what I use when I want my hair to be super voluminous and have lots of body. It's strange. I won't lie. You literally are scooping out odd smelling sea salt and putting on your hair. I wouldn't use it if your have fresh color though because it's a little harsh. I order mine online from LUSH. The "Wet Brush" I got because I didn't realize that using a paddle brush on damp hair that wasn't a wet brush was terrible for your hair. My hairstylist, who is a very good friend of mine, almost killed me for not using one. I got mine from Sally's, you can also use a Tangle Teezer brush. For updo's or any type of style that you have to pin back I use Diane Bobby Pins. Mine are jumbo so they're much longer. The Diane bobby pins are professional grade and are very good. They don't slip on the hair and they hold the hair very tightly. You can order them on Amazon or probably find them at a salon warehouse. I also use clear elastics for easy updos and braids. They look better plain and simple and they don't add bulk to the hair. Forgive my lack of a smile in this picture. I'm smiling on the inside. I just wanted to give you an idea how long my hair is and what color. It needs new color actually but it's a cool toned brown base with black balayage. Balayage is where the don't do uniform highlights or weaved in highlights or slices of colors. They literally just paint pieces randomly. I really like that, even though mine is painted pieces of black which probably doesn't look natural at all, it's a more natural way of dimensional color. I usually only use styling products once a week maybe. If I blow dry my hair I definitely use them but if not, which is most of the time, I don't use them. When I use them though I don't have to use them again, until I wash my hair again. My hair is very manageable though so even after sleeping on it I usually just brush through it and go the next day because it's not as curly but it's still got body. Or I put my hair in a simple updo or bun.
I wanted to add if you need something extra for volume and lift then I really like Loreal High Lift Spray. It's a teasing spray basically. It will give you instant lift when you spray it underneath a section of hair. It causes lots of residue and build up which makes your scalp itch and can hinder it from getting clean when you shampoo forcing you to use a clarifying shampoo. As you probably know clarifying shampoo can strip your hair of color and oils. It's not a great idea to use it all the time. Only when necessary. So that's it. That's my latest and greatest hair care and styling products. Hopefully you found something useful in it or just enjoyed it. Either one. :) I seen this hair mask on Pinterest. So it's not my creation or anything. I was looking for something that would make my hair soft and shiny. This done the trick. Especially the softness. I will warn you though anytime you're trying to achieve softness your hair is going to be a little flat. That's what I find at least. The mask is: 1 tsp Honey 1-2 tsp Coconut Oil (I melted mine) 2 tsp Olive Oil (mine was extra virgin but I don't think it matters) 1 large egg I applied this with a hair color brush because I think it's mainly supposed to be applied to the scalp. When I had went all around the perimeter of the scalp, where my scalp parts and the crown area, I took the rest and used it on the rest of the hair going down the shaft to the ends. This suggested leaving it on 15 minutes and then washing it out with a mild shampoo and conditoner. I left mine on for like an hour because I was really having an at home spa day. So I was painting my toes, doing a face mask, making myself a cappuccino and then making a DIY Coffee Body Scrub so I just left it clipped up for around an hour. When I washed it out I used a more clarifying shampoo because coconut oil and my hair just won't hardly ever rinse out or wash out. So I used Pantene Classic Clean. Which I use this about two or three times a month to get rid of build up. It works and I know all you hairstylists out there are shaking your head because no one likes Pantene and it may "strip" color but it hasn't bothered my color and it works better than a baking soda concoction or Neutrogena Anti Residue shampoo for getting your hair super clean. So I have no problems using it. When I got out of the shower I didn't use a conditioner, because I knew my hair would be flat and I didn't want it weighted down even more. So my hair felt squeaky clean so I was afraid the mask didn't work. I used some Argan Oil about mid shaft down and then dried the scalp area with a hair drier on warm not hot. I could tell it had worked really nicely so I let the rest just air dry. As it dried I was kicking myself for adding in the Argan oil because the scalp and about half way down was so soft and shiny and felt great and then the pieces around the face, the ends of my hair and some places mid shaft down looked greasy. Like really greasy but I think that was strictly the Argan Oil I added in and then just let it air dry. None the less my hair feels great and so soft, weightless and looks super healthy. So I'm very happy with this DIY mask and I will be using it again. Maybe next month. I'm attending a wedding tomorrow and it's supposed to storm and be rainy all day. Usually I always wear my hair down because it's long and I just like loose curls but since the weather is gonna be terrible (they're calling for tornados people) I decided I should do it up. I really don't have any skill nor have I ever attempted an Updo on myself so I searched YouTube of course and found some easy updo's. I stumbled across this one from The Small Things Blog. Which I love this blog by the way because I've seen so many pins on Pinterest about it. They also have a YouTube tutorial on it too. I'll break it down as best I can. This a messy style updo. So it's two sections: the top half of you hair above your ears sectioned off (clip it out of the way) and then that leaves the lower half. So you put the bottom section in a pony tail then you make it into a messy bun with another elastic holder. When you've done that you start cleaning it up by taking bobby pins to secure it to your head. Hers looked a lot more cleaned up than mine (like a perfect sock bun/donut). But I kinda liked the messiness of it. So with the top section, you put it in a pony tail and then split the part of the hair above the elastic and pull the tail through. It'll make it look twisted. With the tail you make it into a smaller bun above your lower bun and secure it with bobby pins. Mine looked a lot messier than hers. Hers was a lot more clean and elegant. But I did really like mine. It turned out better than I thought. My hair had a lot of product in it too. It had volumizing mouse and volumizing spray for back combing/teasing. I had also curled it earlier in the day. You could do this though if you have a little bit of a wave naturally. Like air dried hair would work too. So for full step by step instructions I would look into her blog or YouTube. This probably took me about 3-5 minutes to do that's not including the product I put in my hair and teasing the hair some so allow time for that. The products I used was mainly Loreal Boost It High Lift Creation Spray and a little Schwarzkopf Sparkler Spray (for shine) and then some Paul Mitchell Hot off the Press hairspray. The one that made the most difference was Loreal. XoXo I'm back with another haul of things that I purchased for and from this past weekend and through out the month. I won't ramble lets just get into it. Let's start with the MAc products which im very excited about. I got two blushes. On the top is MAC Modern Mandarin blush. It's a satin finish and very very bright as you can see. Reminds me of BH Cosmetics Tulip blush the matte side. Only better. I've always wanted this and I can't wait to use this with a tan. I feel like I'm gonna use this quite a bit in the summer. On the bottom is MAC Warm Soul Mineralize Blush. I've never had a mineralize blush before from MAC they've just never been my thing. However, if you watch Batalash Beauty particularly Samantha she talked about this constantly until Kat Von D Wish blush took over. So I bought it completely on her recommendation and I must say I've used it twice now and it's so pretty. Very natural and glowy. It's like a tan with a golden sheen to it. Makes you look super healthy and sunkissed. Probably won't be able to wear it when I'm tan but that's ok cause we all need a blush for when we're pale. On the top is MAC Lightscape Mineralize Skinfinish. Not only is it very pretty in the container it's actually a very unique highlighter in a color that I didn't have. It's hard to tell on the swatch but it's a pearly white/pale pale pink. Super versatile and all around very pretty. Being so light in color though it's a good thing it's kinda sheer cause it makes it work with my skin tone quite nice. On the bottom is MAC Shaping Powder pro pan in Emphasize. I ordered this for this past weekend's event. It's very very light. Has the smallest amount satin finish and I use it to set the under eye area. I like ABH Banana Powder too but I wanted this for more options. This is actually a blotting powder. The color is Dark/Deep it's completely matte obviously and I bought it to contour the face. So far I've really liked it. These two bad boys I got for my kit to take this weekend. One is matte and poreless and the other one is just regular formula of the Maybelline Fit Me foundations but a new shade. I've also been using them to contour underneath u foundation some and really been liking the looks of it. On the swatches the top is 335 and the bottom is 360. The 335 is the Matte and Poreless formula. I got these glitters from Glitter Injections. They were 6.99 a piece and I absolutely love them. In the swatches from left to right is Angel Kiss, Mystic Butterfly, and Peacock. They're the most unique and prettiest glitters I've ever seen. I've used two of them already and I just absolutely love them. I got three OCC Stained Glosses on sale at Sephora. The shades on the swatches from left to right is Androgyne, New Wave, and Decadent. I really like these. They are sheer though so definitely need something under them. The other things I got were: Ben Nye Final Seal setting spray which is used a lot in stage makeup to set body paint and help sweating along with setting makeup. You need to keep your eyes closed for several seconds after you spray to let it settle and not get in your eye. RCMA No Color Powder. This is a relatively cheap nothing fancy powder but it doesn't oxidize the foundation and sets the makeup beautifully and you don't look cakey or anything. It's a hidden gem really. NARs Foundation that I have a whole blog post on including swatches. Ardell Lashes Wispies. I'd never had this style and you hear so much about them so I bought a pair just to see how it goes. I've not tried them as of yet though. Finally the last thing I got was L'Oreal New Volume Filler Densifying Gelée. It's to use when you blow out your hair. I used it this weekend I didn't notice any difference but I'm gonna give it another chance here soon and maybe it'll work. My shipment for the Sephora VIB Sale finally got here. I have free flash two day shipping but so many people shopped the event it took over a week for it to get here. Although the Sephora was super nice and gave me 500 extra points because I'd had to wait. So thanks Sephora, I wasn't even going to complain but I appreciate it! So in this haul there are a few Christmas presents so they won't be swatched or talked about. So here's the list: Clinique Holiday Set (it's a gift though) MAC Holiday Set Pigments Rink+Rose set MAC Lipliner in Soar MAC Matte Lipstick in Smoked Purple Sephora Lipstain in 04 Philosophy Fresh Cream Body Wash, Bubble Bath and Shampoo NARs Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla Diorskin Star Foundation in Linen Bumble and Bumble Prep Primer Spray Beauty Blender Solid Bite Best Bite Remix YSL Rouge Volupte Silky Sensual Radient Lipstick in #3 Beige Ultimate Sephora Favorites Beauty Unmasked set Sephora Favories Give Me Lip set The mask set I've had for a couple weeks. I got it because I was running out of my Glam Glow Supermud and I wanted to try the hydrating one. So far it's the only one I've not tried yet lol. It comes with Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask, Glam Glow Thirsty Mud, Boscia Luminizing Black Mask, and Origins Clear Improvement. My favorite is the Boscia one. It's a peel off and you have to use quite a bit of it to have an easier time peeling it off but it feels like a Biore strip for the entire face. |
