So honestly this started out as something for a tacky Christmas sweater party/dinner/get together. Then the more I got into it I really loved it. It is dramatic there's no doubt about that but I'd totally wear it. Of course. Tis the season for holiday cheer. So I'm bringing you gifts for those you hold dear. ^^^ See what I did there? I thought so. So these are gifts in different price ranges. Stocking stuffer ideas and actual presents that might be something to consider if you're buying for a makeup junkie like myself or just someone who likes to pamper theirself from time to time. First up is Makeup Geek Vegas Lights Palette. MUG eyeshadows are some of the VERY best I've ever used so a good way to try them out is in this palette. Pretty sure it's around $38 and available on the company site. Next we have Sephora Cleansing Ritual To Go set. This is $20. It comes with 4 travel size products from different brands. Which I always think is fun. Next is a Smokey Eye Brush set from Coastal Scents. This is $10 and available on the company site. These are basic brushes that you will need for whatever eye look you want. Generally I usually like their brushes so I would buy this for someone. Then we have Sephora Glitz and Glam Party Essentials Sampler Set. This is $45. This has everything you need from hair to makeup to nails and also some of my favorite brands like Laura Mercier, Deborah Lippmann, and Benefit. This is a great gift because it's got a little of everything so I really like this one. Next is a lip set from Colour Pop Cosmetics. This is lippies to go it's part of their holiday bundles. It's $20 and it's double ended sticks one being lip liner the other being lipstick. It's in their best selling shades. Usually every girl likes lip products so it's a pretty safe bet and inexpensive. Lastly, is Sephora Skin Wonderland set. This is $56. This has everything for skin whether that's face, body or hands. It even comes with deodarant and eye masks. This is kinda a safe bet too because you don't have to worry if they don't like the colors or whatever. **if you can't find anything or if they have everything then gift cards are always appreciated I think. Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, Belk, so on so forth or just plain ol Visa or MasterCard giftcards. Everyone in my family pretty much gets me a Sephora gift card and I love it because I'm always trying new things or replacing what I've ran out of. Merry Christmas and happy shopping! I watch the VS Fashion Show every year. I love all the glitter and wings. It's not Christmas until it comes on in my book. Every year the makeup is pretty much the same. This year they looked a little more contoured to me and instead of completely nude lips a lot were wearing brown-ish mauves and I had the perfect lipstick for that. It's worth mentioning that I self tanned with my St Tropez face lotion and also their mousse. Just so I was extra bronzed and glowy. Eyes: Laura Mercier caviar stick in Khaki ABH shadows in Smoke and Bengal MAC Cosmetics Naked Pigment. Red Cherry Lashes in 213 The eye look is usually just a wash of color. No lower line definition. I actually added highlighter to the entire lower lash line for added glowy-ness. No liner just long lashes, a bronzey lid, and no lower lash line color. Face Chanel Bronze Universal Diorskin Star Foundation ABH Contour Kit Benefit Coralista Blush TheBalm Mary Lou-Minizer MAC Careblend Pressed Powder in Dark to add more bronzer. Lips YSL Lipstick in #3 Beige Ultimate. Obviously there was a ton of bronzer used. The blush I wanted to be a sunkissed look as well so no bright colors. Concealer in applied really heavy for added highlight too. So there is a lot of product and a lot of exaggerated contour and highlight but if you take your time you can get it to be very natural, just sunkissed. Obviously you don't have to only wear this for a party. I thought it was very suitable though. Sorry for the grainy quality it was getting late before I done this look. Eye: Makeup Geek: Bitten, Chickadee, and Corrupt ABH shadow in Metal Red Cherry Lashes in 218 ABH dip brow in Medium Brown Face: Diorskin Star Foundation ABH Contour Kit MUG blush in Romance Lips: Colour Pop Cosmetics lippie pencil in Clique Outfit details: Black wrap top from Dainty Hooligan Dark jeans Black Tory Burch Caroline flats Henri Bendel Hoops Flash tats from Groopdealz Today's makeup is a go to look for me I guess. I love doing this and using the colors I used. It's appropriate for fall and also for the Holidays cause it's so warm and vibrant. Reminds you of cranberries and such I think. Eyes: These colors are some of my favorites. I would wear them everyday if I could. Coastal Scents: Dark Mango, Maroon Berry, Vibrant Plum, Coral Pink MUG Corrupt eyeshadow in the very corner. It's worth mentioning that I use Dark Mango first and then build on top of it. You won't necessarily see the brightness of the eyeshadow when you do that but you'll get the warmth and glowiness from it. Red Cherry Lashes in 213 ABH dip brow in Medium Brown Face: Diorskin Star Foundation MUG Bliss Blush ABH Contour Kit Lips Sephora lipstain in 02 I'm all about navy and purple lately apparently. Eyes: ABH single shadows: Dragonfly and Electro Lumikki Cosmetics: Aegean Sea pigment on the inner half Red Cherry Lashes in 213 ABH dip brow Face: Givenchy Photo Perfexion Foundation MAC Careblend Pressed Powder on Dark BH Cosmetics in Tulip TheBalm Mary Lou-Minizer Lips: Gerard Cosmetics: Buttercup Lipstick Outfit details Vest from The Rage Boutique Cardigan from American Eagle Canvas Grey Slip Ons from Rue 21 ($5) Navy Glitter Studs from Kate Spade Bangles from The Boutique mostly. This is kinda a classic go to look for the holidays. I love doing my makeup around Christmas and New Years because you can be really bold or glittery and it's not misplaced at all. Eyes: Abh Shadow in Bengal, Red Earth, Deep Plum MAC pigments over top in Whisper Pink and Heritage Rouge. Red Cherry Lashes in 213 ABH Dip Brow Face: Givenchy Photo Perfexion foundation MUG blush in Romance MAC Careblend Pressed Powder in Dark theBalm Mary Lou-minizer highlighter *i wanted the face to be very glowy and healthy. Not overly contoured and flat. Just effortless and very healthy Lips: Bite Beauty VIB Rouge lipstick MAC Smoked Purple lipstick I used a lip brush to apply these and make it into any ombre lip. So not your typical red lip, more red and berry colored. I also used a red shadow to make it extra matte. This Holiday makeup is all green and gold. I find that it's incredibly hard to find a good green eyeshadow that's good for Christmas. Usually they all are way to neon and bright or too dark they look black or have blue tints. Eyes: NYX Jumbo Stick in Milk as a base Makeup Geek: Peach Smoothie and Envy and their pigment in After Glow Urban Decay: Mildew and Foxy shadow Kiss lashes in Vamp ABH dipbrow in Medium Brown Face: Diorskin Star Foundation MAC Careblend Pressed powder in Dark MUH blush in Bliss Laura Mercier Highlight 01 Lips: YSL Lipstick in 3 Beige Ultimate Also if you're interested my earrings are from Bauble Bar. Check them out they are doing 12 days of baubles for the next few days. Lots of good deals and sales going on right now. I got these for just $15 at the time! |
