Affordable At Home Light Therapy Treatment for Breakouts and Bumps

About a 3 weeks ago Neutrogena was kinda enough to send me their Light Therapy Acne Spot Treatment tool. I refer to it as my "light pen".  Lately, blue light therapy is being discussed much more in the skin care community. I hadn't tried any until now.
​According to claims: "Blue light works to kill the bacteria and red light reduces inflammation, so your skin looks clearer and calmer." This is even better to travel with. It's best to use it 3 times a day. I don't have acne but I do have bumps that pop up occasionally especially right now with all the Halloween looks I'm doing. So I've used this quite a bit. I do find that it reduces the redness and inflammation around a spot or a breakout.

I'm not saying that it blasts a bump into nothing or you wake up with a completely clear face but in general I do find it really helpful. They also have a mask as well that covers your whole face. This is more of a direct shot to the spot you need it.  Which is in their claim as well it seems. "The Light Therapy Acne Spot Treatment is an on-the-go treatment for mild to moderate acne, delivering a targeted dose of clinically proven red and blue light to the source of the breakout, without flaking or burning". This is dermatologist tested in clinics and in office. Now it's available to use at home.

You use this three times a day, on clean skin, for 2 minutes, and hopefully you'll quickly see an improvement in redness and inflammation at least. I definitely think it's worth trying. I'm so glad that Neutrogena has added this to their range of products because of the affordability, giving a lot more people access to it , and also making it an option for a wider range of people. I would say that Neutrogena is probably my favorite drugstore brand mainly because they have one of the larger skin care lines. I can't wait to see what new innovative product they release next.
