Guys!! I've never been more excited during my love of skincare than I am right now. Caroline Hirons released her Winter Kits. There are two. I got kit one. I took SO MANY notes during the reveal video, from what the products were, the donations they were making, the price of each product, and the total combined cost if you bought everything individually. She also done a Instagram video of how to use the kits which I'll leave here. There was also a ton of brand offers that she shared on her blog if you weren't able to get a kit. So let's get right into it! Like I said I got "kit one". I took the quiz that was available. What I love though is that both kits had 5 core products. So the majority of the kits were the same products for each kit and then 3 products that will work for what your skin is going through right now. These kits are heavily influenced by the beating our skin is taking thanks to "maskne", winter weather that's quite harsh and drying to the skin, irritation for masks that we're having to wear, and so on.
So in my kit:
So the total for this (in US dollars) was $247 with shipping. The lowest total it has ever been for a kit. She took the pandemic into serious consideration when launching this, and tried her hardest to make it as affordable as possible for everyone. Also, with these kits, she makes donations to Eve Appeal (ladies, get regular check-ups with your OBGYN), and a donation to Fair Share that provides meals for children I believe. Now, the shipping for this was $30 so that means the kit was actually around $200. I added up all the products as best I could, they are all full size. The actual value, if you bought these individually, is right around $500 (because I don't know the price of the bag so likely over $500 + shipping). That's insane! Holy shit. Also, this shipped on Friday from the UK, I received it the following Monday. Literally, 3 days later. THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT, PEOPLE!!!! TAKE NOTES! THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT! I put all of this in US prices, so I'm sorry if that confuses anyone as I know this was coming from the UK. In Kit 2 you got the 5 core products mentioned about but the 3 products that were different were: Josh Rosebrook Vital Balm Cream (have it, it's amazing and smells soooo good.) Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare C+ Collagen Deep Cream (also have this and it's fantastic, I've purchased it over and over again), and lastly Medik8 Crystal Retinal 6 that we discussed above. The very last thing is that this time kits were given to paramedics and "essential workers" I think, if I wrote it down right from the reveal video. Last time I believe teachers received some. So they forgo PR and sending it to people to talk about but rather give kits away to people that are fighting and working in this Covid Hell. As the wife of an ER worker, I appreciate that because the shit they're dealing with on a daily basis is unreal. Now if you'll excuse me, I have products to play with.
