So summer always brings about new skin care products as well as new makeup. Lots of times it's products that will protect you from sun damage and to wear outside (ie: Supergoop which was popular last year) but this year I was pleasantly surprised at how many just over all hydrating products and sprays that were released. I mean, most of them are fighting anti-aging which can be accelerated by constant exposure to UVA rays, while UVB rays cause burning and increased chances of skin cancer. Both are still not good for your skin which is why you need protection from that, but we all know that we need to protect our skin and this year products were released to help you maintain and take care of your skin. I appreciate all those though, prevention, protection, and maintenance. After all our skin is the only skin we ever get and our best beauty secret we have is a good base to work with. So this new guy is the Korres Golden Krocus Elixir. It's good for all skin types and it's main target is fine lines and anti-aging. This is a serum and it's price tag is $98, which is a lot. I've used this several times and I'm not impressed with it to be honest but to be fair I don't have a ton of fine lines. It feels nice but it has a lot of golden shimmer in it and that's pretty noticeable on the skin. Which looks cool but also not what I'm looking for because when it comes to skin care I think of "clean" skin I don't want shimmer added for luminosity. Know what I mean? That's just my thoughts on that though. So for this I say pass for right now. This is Farmacy Skin Dew. It's a hydrating mist and setting spray. I actually love this. It's SUPER hydrating though. So bear that in mind. It feels so nice on the skin. I actually have used it on my bare skin and also to set my makeup and even though it is very hydrating with a heavy spritz it actually did set my makeup and not make it overly dewy. So this is $44, it has glycerin in it as well as "Echinacea GreenEnvy™" which according to Sephora: "is a unique, patent-protected variant of echinacea purpurea that contains the highest known concentration of cichoric acid, which helps protect the skin by inhibiting the enzymes that break down collagen. Cichoric acid also normalizes the skin pigmentation process to promote a more evenly toned complexion. Horsetail juice—a natural extract of the perennial horsetail herb that contains vitamin C, tannins, and mineral salts—helps freshen and tone the skin while providing both antioxidant and skin soothing benefits." It's also naturally derived ingredients and not tested on animals, which I'm a big fan of Farmacy as a company anyway. This little jewel is the Tatcha Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder. It's a super gentle exfoliator that is water activated. It's best for Normal to Combination skin. This softens, exfoliates, and conditions the skin. If you have sensitive skin when it comes to exfoliators, I would recommend this. It's very subtle but it works really well so you know you're not damaging or breaking the skin by being to rough. This is $15-$65. You can try the .35oz for $15 to see if you like it or go for the 2.1oz for $65. This is the Drunk Elephant B Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel. This has "An antiaging vitamin B5 gel that replenishes, brightens, and improves the appearance of skin texture and tone while delivering intense moisture." This is a really nice gel and super hydrating and good for all skin types. This is $52 for 1.69oz. That's still a lot of money so unless you're super dry or having some aging issues, I might would pass on this one as well. Even though I do like it. I prefer to spend money on my base like I always say, but I would prefer to spend it on a moisturizing cream or something else like a sleeping facial. That's just me though. This lovely thing is the Foreo Luna Play. It's a $39 "starter" basically. That's how I look at it. It's small and is good for 100 uses. I got this to just test it out to see if I: A) liked it and B) would use it every day. I tend to be someone who gets a month in and then stops using something. So this was perfect in case that happened. It doesn't have the expensive price tag and then if you do like it you can invest $99-$199 for the bigger options. This is quite small but it still works amazingly well. You use it 15 seconds on one section for a total of one minute on your face. I can honestly tell you this is amazing. My skin has never felt this smooth. My texture issues are massively reduced and I can't get over how nice my skin looks and feels and that was after the first time I used it. Still the same amazing results. It's good for all skin types, water proof and comes in 7 different colors, Plus you get 100 uses out of this because it is not rechargeable like the others. Out of everything, this is what I would get my hands down. That is if you don't already have it or something similar. **update on the Luna Play. Mine stopped working a little over a month. It didn't last the 100 uses. It may have lasted 15-20 uses. So even though I'm super impressed with Foreo in general and I have ordered a bigger one that is rechargeable, that has better reviews, I did return the Luna Play to Sephora because it quit after a month and less than 25 uses. Which is only a quarter of the uses it was said to have. Also, check out Kathleen Lights video of a Luna 2 vs a WAY cheaper dupe from Amazon which is called the Solo Mio. It's super helpful. There are other options as well on Amazon that are even cheaper. So while I totally loved the Luna Play, it didn't last as long as it was supposed to so thus, I no longer recommend getting it. Some of these are available as deluxe samples or just samples if there are any left Code "Future" to choose one skin care deluxe sample with $25 purchase (what's left of them) Code "Immortal" to choose 1 of 3 skin care minis with $25 purchase Code "UMBRIAN" for Fresh Toning Mini with $25 purchase Code "INEXCESS" for MUFE Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara with $25 purchase As always use Ebates and get you some cash back. It costs nothing to sign up and it won't ever cost you any money, it only gets you money. **these pictures are from the Sephora website obviously.

If you don't know, Sephora has a subscription box now. It's a waiting list right now I believe. I'll leave the link to where you can sign up though. So I think I'm gonna do an un-boxing every month of what you get in the box and my thoughts on the products. First off, what you get is a pamplet of all the things that's in the box. It describes what they are, what they do, some fun facts, so on so forth. You get a card that will get you an extra 50 points with a purchase IN STORE, that expires at the end of the next month. So the May card will expire on June 30th. You can use multiple "play passes" but it still only gets you an extra 50 points so don't think you can use two at a time in one shot and get 100 points. On the back of the card it tells you what's in the box and how much a full size of that item would cost. So you get some deluxe samples. I really just see 4 deluxe samples and then two regular samples. What I got was: Origins Clear Improvement Packet, Drink Up Intensive Night mask, and the Maskimizer mask primer spray Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! deep conditioning mask Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial Atelier Cologne in Orange Sanguine Tarte Tartiest Lip Crayon in Latergram Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche in Kimchi So with the Origin's I have the Clear Improvement Mask and while it's a fan favorite I don't care for it. I do on the other hand love overnight masks. I think they do so much work. As for the mist I can't understand why you'd need a mask primer, it's supposed to maximize the experience of the mask. I'm willing to try it but I just feel like it's an unnecessary step. I will say thought that it is a very refreshing mist on i's own. The Briogeo hair mask smells amazing. It has Argan and Avacado Oil in it which makes it super intense and hydrating. This is something I would put on the ends of my hair mainly. Cause they are a bit dry. So at best I would do mid shaft down. I don't like incredibly moisturizing stuff on the roots of my hair. Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial. I have this along with two other Sleeping Facials from Korres. I love anything rose, it feels amazing on the skin. This is a brightening mask, it has Vitamin C which is used often to brighten skin. It also is said to help with fine lines and even skin tone. I thoroughly enjoy it. Atelier Cologne in Orange Sanguine, this is strong. Very very strong. I don't care for it. Tarte Tartiest Lip Crayon in Latergram is a good brown toned neutral lip liner. It's a super thin crayon that is mechanical twist up. It's not the creamiest but that just means it should last longer than super creamy lip liners. Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche in Kimchi. I expected nothing from this cause I don't like Bite Beauty lipsticks. I like their crayons but not their lipsticks, they sweat, they melt super easy because they are completely organic and could literally be eaten. This color though......guys......it's gorgeous. It's the most insanely beautiful bright pink. I love it. It's also a better formula. It's not super shiny, it's very opaque, and looks to be semi matte. It's still incredibly hydrating though because it has 12 oils in it, including Coconut Oil and Pomegranate Oil. Pomegranate Oil has antioxidants which protect you from "environmental damage" which I'd assume would mean UV rays. Coconut Oil is highly anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and hydrating obviously. So all good stuff, lets just hope it stays on well. You also get this cute little back that has everything in it. It's only $10 a month for the subscription. Which is much cheaper than most. Here is the link to sign up for Play! By Sephora. Remember you might be on a waiting list for a while. They will email you when you've made it into the subscription. They don't take the money out until you are to start receiving the subscription box.
Sephora recently had a sale, which is a big deal seeing as they only do 2 sales a year. This was the first sale of the year and while I did get some things, I didn't get as excited as I normally do about these Sephora sales. I usually will wait for these types of sales to get more "bang for my buck" but this time there just wasn't a lot that I was interested in, I did however stumble on some great finds and get some things that I actually had been meaning to and needed to get for a while. So lets get into it.
First I knew I was going to get the new Kat Von D Shade+Light quad in Rust. I have an entire review on this. Its the previous post actually. Then I went on to get these things: Ardency Inn Punker waterproof liquid liner. It's supposed to be matte and awesome. I will be doing a test to see if it's better than my inexpensive Jessie's Girl liquid liner. I do like it but I will say it's not as great as I thought it would be. It's a good basic liquid liner though. Clinique Take The Day Off Towelettes. These are new and a GREAT find. This is the Clinique "Take The Day Off" remover in a towelette, that's easy on your eyes and takes off EVERYTHING. It has 50 towelettes in it for just $15! Standard wipes are 30 count but this is 50 and I think the price is very reasonable. I'm super excited about it. Way to go Clinique. Smashbox X Rated Mascara Sample. This seems very nice and thin which I tend to like. It coats each lash individually without clumping them and makes them look much nicer maybe even a little longer by keeping them separated and noticeably darker. Ralph Lauren Midnight Romance Perfume. I have very few perfumes (about 4 or 5) and I recently ran out of one. I can't wear a lot of scents, they give me headaches and don't work with my body chemistry but this one I can wear and I get excited when I actually find one I can wear. I wait till I can get some money off or extra points before buying one because truthfully, I hate buying perfume. I really really hate it but I like wearing it. It's a viscous cycle. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in #4. This isn't new. I know. I'm late to the game on this. I just wanted to try it. So far it's a nice foundation with about a medium coverage I think. I have other foundations that go on better surprisingly. I expected to love this like everyone else but I don't feel it's necessary right now. I'm going to keep trying it though. Luckily they have come out with a smaller size bottle for $20 less for people who either want to give it a shot or like me have a ton of foundation and have a hard time getting through a full foundation. So that is a really awesome perk. Make Up For Ever HD Pressed Powder travel size. Another thing that I have very little of is pressed powder. I'm not a powder type person and I prefer loose powder over all but that's not ideal for traveling so I quickly realized that I needed a travel sized powder because I've been away from home a lot so far this year. I got this strictly for setting the under eye, and it works very nice. I'm glad I have it. Again though, it's not something I enjoy buying. Lastly, Algenist Color Correcting Finishing Powder. This was a hidden gem. It's new and so far I'm loving the Algenist makeup line. I'm going to do a full review on this. Check my Instagram (@lovemascara) for pictures of what the powder actually looks like cause it's crazy looking but I'm not lying when I say my skin has never looked better. I've never gotten compliments on my skin being smooth or whatever until I used this. Sure you hear stuff about your makeup looking nice but people were actually saying that my skin looked and smooth and almost airbrushed. This stuff is wonderful and I can't wait to do a review on it. So that's everything. It's not all that exciting but I don't do very many hauls and I always like seeing what people get and why they got it so I hope this might help some of you too. If you're looking for something specific that is. I have a lot of posts coming up so get ready for that and if you want daily rambles and early thoughts on products then follow me on snapchat (loveandmascara). I'm always swatching stuff, talking about products, or even testing out makeup along with venting my frustrations. So come hang out with me. Alright so yes, I have another haul, no I'm not sorry and it's all from Ulta but I didn't spend near what you think. Most of this was 50% off and I also had a 20% off coupon for the expensive stuff which was actually just one thing. So here's the run down: Mario Badescue Rose Water Facial Spray. Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice Catrice Liquid Metal shadows in Under Treasure and What do you Sea? NYX Dewy Finish spray Makeup Revolution Matte Blush in Passionate Soap and Glory, Hand Food lotion NYX Under Eye Corrector in Medium NYX HD concealer wand in Yellow Becca Afterglow palette 2B Nail Polish NYX Contour Pro Palette These are the Catrice Liquid Metal shadows. These are better applied wet. I did two swatches of each one dry and one wet. What Do You Sea? is the Navy/Green one. Under Treasure is the Champagne color. I got these after seeing Kathleen Lights swatch them. These were super inexpensive. I think I got these for like $2 or $3 on sale. Which they aren't expensive anyway. I used Under Treasure in a look already. It was ok, it didn't blow me away but it's a Champagne/Gold color and I used a wet brush to apply it, as you know neutrals aren't my favorite but I really thought it would be more foiled. Maybe if I applied it with my finger it would've been better. I haven't used What Do You Sea yet, I think I will like it more. All in all I don't know if I'll get more, just because I tend to use my palettes more. If you wanna try this I recommend finding a color that is gonna be your stand out color on the lid cause using this in the crease or trying to blend this won't be easy. I think a really pretty pale pink or rose gold would be really gorgeous. Alright so the moment has arrived I finally got the NYX Contour Palette. It has 4 highlights 2 matte and 2 shimmer, and 4 contour shades 2 warm and 2 cool tones. My thoughts on this are that....it's really good. If you are on a budget get this. Now my issue is that its so messy and powdery. Which isn't that big of a deal but still it irritates me. The contour shades are very very pigmented and none of them are light really. So use a little at first and then work up from there. Blending this out is harder to do if you use a dense contour brush, if say you use an angled fluffier contour brush or blush brush it works better I think. The highlight shades are amazing. The yellow shade is darker than the Anastasia banana shade in her contour kit I think. So I actually prefer the ivory matte shade. It sets my under eye area better than anything I have ever used. The shimmer shades are really nice as well. I still prefer the Kat Von D contour palette over everything. If you are a beginner this might over whelm you cause it's 8 shades all together. If you were a beginner I would suggest either one contour shade and highlight in compacts like the MAC Careblend Pressed Powder in Dark and MAC Emphasize for highlight which isn't gonna be like a crazy shimmer. If you want intense shimmer I would do a Becca powder or an Ofra highlight. If you want a palette that offers all that I would get the Anastasia Contour Kit it has six shades 3 contour, 2 matte highlight and 1 shimmer highlight. It's $40 where this NYX is $25. I got this for $15 actually, which is the reason I got it. It's a great product and it's a great thing to have in your kit if you freelance cause it offers a lot of options. This guy above I have been waiting a while to get. I missed the first 20% off opportunity but not the 2nd one. This is the Becca Afterglow palette. It has 3 highlights and 2 blush. I wanted this because I didn't own any of the highlights and they are all staples of the Becca line including: Moonstone, Rose Gold and Topaz and then the two blushes: Wild Honey and Flowerchild. I have Flowerchild but I will be giving that to my mother cause she loves Becca blushes as well. This palette is a little small. So keep that in mind some brushes just wont work with it. It's a really good price I believe its $32. Then there was a 20% off coupon. I think this is great. It's not extremely necessary but it's a great price and product. Especially if you want to try some Becca products. I really like Makeup Revolution. The brand really impresses me with it's liquid lipsticks and now it's blushes. I got the Ultra Blush palette in Sugar and Spice. There is a second one with more neutral nude shades. This is obviously more pink. It comes with mostly matte shades and then 2 baked blushes. The baked blushes for me serve as more of a highlighter. 2 of the shades are more neutral and I use them more than the rest. The others are very bright and then there is one that is more peach toned. This is a great palette. It was really inexpensive I think regularly it's $10 I believe I got it for less cause it was on sale. I would totally get this if you wanted a blush palette. I will probably get the other palette as well.
The matte blush is in Passionate. This is crazy bright. I regret it. It's amazing formula. It feels just like silk. Probably the softest formula I've ever felt, it's unreal. The color is just too bright even for me. They do have 6 shades so definitely try one. Personally I want Beloved next it's more nude. These are just $5. Which is incredible. So the rest of the stuff I got we will go over briefly. I got the Mario Badescue Rose Water which I've always wanted to try but never did. It's only like $7 I think. It's great. I love it. It's very hydrating and soothing. Next I got the NYX Dewy Finish spray. This doesn't make me dewy. At all. So I'm not sold on this. It was all 50% off though so it was really cheap. Other NYX things I got were, the under eye corrector in medium which is my 2nd one. I love this stuff as you well know. It works better or as good as anything else I've tried. I also got the HD concealer in Yellow which I had a few years ago and loved for baking but I don't remember it being this dark of a yellow. Yellow corrects redness if you're wondering. I picked up some 2B Colours Nail Polishes that were only like $1 a piece or something like that. They are smaller than they look online. I got two glitters and then one for my friend that is supposed to look like denim jeans. They have a leather line and everything. I love the glitters but the jean one doesn't look like jeans to me. The Hand Food lotion from Soap and Glory is a stocking stuffer for someone else and it was only like $4 or $5. It's supposed to be a great hand cream. So hopefully it is. So that's it. That's everything. Most of the stuff I got wasn't more than $3 or $4 excluding the palettes which were still hardly anything. Ulta really kicked it into high gear this year for Christmas. They've been having some great sales and coupons. As always they have $3.50 off $10 coupon for things that aren't brand name. So check some of this out if you're interested. As promised here is my Black Friday haul. Makeup wise, there was some killer sales for Black Friday and Cyber Monday or for the entire weekend. Ulta I feel really had the best and they are still doing some killer sales. Right now there is 20% off code that you can use on almost everything with very few exclusions so, you can use it on Becca and other high end brands with some exclusions to it like the Gwen Stafani palette from Urban Decay. The code is good through the 24th and it's on my Instagram (@lovemascara) if you're interested. Now before I hop into this, yes this is a lot of stuff and it's WORTH a lot of money, but the sales like I said we're amazings and I barely paid a fraction of the total cost. First thing I want to get out of the way is those three HUGE skincare kits from the Body Shop. I got these at Ulta, they were doing 3 for $35 anything Body Shop on Black Friday so I thought it was just lotions, shower gel, stuff like that. No! It was everything so of course I went for the kits. Each one is worth more than $40 and sold for $29 but I got three for $11 and some change, a piece. I got the Vitamin E Hydrating Kit, Tea Tree Blemish Kit, and Aloe Calming Kit. I wanted completely different kits because skin changes a lot through out the year, or at least mine does so any one of these could come in handy and they all come with about 4-5 products in each kit. It was an awesome deal Next I got a Smashbox trio that was super inexpensive for a stocking stuffer. It comes with a brush and a neat little compact of plum shadows. Then I made a palette with Coastal Scents all their stuff was half off pretty much and so the shadows were less than $1. I have always liked Coastal Scents single shadows. They are very pigmented and there are very few "duds" I've found out of the 20+ shadows I own. They aren't as buttery as like Anastasia perhaps, they're a little more dry (the matte ones) but it doesn't change the pigment. So I made a super colorful palette because I love color as we all know. Then I got two sets of lashes from House of lashes in Temptress and Pixie Luxe. They took quite a while getting here because I'm sure it was crazy there and they probably had a ton of orders. This was their biggest sale of the year though so I didn't mind waiting. I got a glitter trio sample stack from Beauty Bar Baby. This is really inexpensive anyway but it was even less for Black Friday. I always get the sample stacks because it's always plenty of glitter and an easy way to try different colors. Then I got the Benefit Majorette blush from Ulta for......$10. It's normally around $30. This time is was $10. That was absolutely amazing. I had almost got this in the summer but decided against it since it's cream to powder, now I'm so glad I done that. Plus it smells amazing. On Cyber Monday Anastasia Beverly Hills did not disappoint. They did an Illuminator plus there #23 brush for $26. That even less than the illuminator alone. I got Starlight and it's gorgeous. It's drier than I expected but applied with a damp brush it's so beautiful. It's beautiful dry too but damp is so much better. I will say that my brush is not good. It either was packaged too roughly or something but the hairs are all over the place and won't keep their shape. So that was kind of a bummer but I did some surgery to it and I think it's gonna make it. Ofra Cosmetics was having a great sale as well 50% off their entire site. I'm coming to really love this company. I've yet to be disappointed by anything they've done. Their liquid lipsticks is my favorite formula and I love the dupethat collab highlighters. So I got two liquid lipsticks in Atlantic City and Manhattan. I also got a pan of the You Glow Girl highlighter from DupeThat. I already had the You Dew You compact and loved it's peachy tone so I decided to try a cooler toned highlight.
Along with my Coastal Scents order I picked up a Forever Blush to try. I wanted a super dark blush to try but I didn't know if I'd like it. I got the shade Passionate which is a super dark berry shade. The formula is amazing and it's so inexpensive even full priced so I'm very impressed with it. It's SUPER pigmented though! So be careful, apply lightly. Morphe Brushes was doing 20% off their brushes which is still good because they're very inexpensive as well. I got the M500, M523, G2, and M503. The M523 is the softest brush I've ever felt in my life. It's nothing less than amazing. As well as the G2. I have wanted that for months and just never bought it cause I didn't think I needed it. So glad I got it. MAC was doing 25% off their holiday sets. This is the first time I've ever seen them do this. I got a set of the pigments. It's 3 pigments and 1 glitter. I chose the purple ones. That's usually the only things I ever get from MAC holiday sets is the pigments. Cause they're the perfect size and a good deal. Then I got some stuff from Sephora. It wasn't with the Black Friday stuff it was just in the sale section and I had got the $25 off $50 VIB Rouge card so I wanted to use that and I seen where they had an awesome Korres set for $42 I think. It had two out of three that I knew I would like. It's all sleeping facials and night moisturizers. It has the Greek Yogurt sleeping facial which everyone talks about, Wild Rose sleeping facial which I love, and the Black Pine moisturizer which I haven't used. I also picked up some Elizabeth and James Nirvana White dry shampoo. It smells so good. It does make my dark hair a little ashy though. Last but not least Ulta was selling the Sabastian hair sprays in every formula for $7.99. They are around $20 regularly and they are gigantic. I got them for stocking stuffers too. So that's it. It was a bunch of stuff I know. It was amazing deals though and this was all online. I don't fight the madness on Black Friday in stores I prefer to participate online. So Christmas is right around the corner, and you've procrastinated in buying presents, or you accidentally forgot someone, or you're nearly done you just need some extra stocking stuffers or something. I GOT CHU. This post is going to be beauty and other things combined. So not just makeup but also some really cool gifts, or accessories that I like and love getting as gifts. Starting with skincare:
Now for more makeup related items:
Now on to some non-beauty gifts:
So that's it. I hope that helps. I'll be doing some reviews soon and my black friday haul but I've been very sick for the past two weeks and currently been to the hospital twice so I've not been able to really get my head on straight yet. So this week I got some Colour Pop products. I got some of the new Raye Boyce collaboration, one of the new Holiday lip colors, a new-ish gel liner, and 3 newer shadow shades. These are the three shadows I got. Glitterati I was most skeptical about but it's become my favorite. I think it's very similar to Kat Von D Thunderstruck actually just with glitter. It's a silver shade with plenty of sprakle. It's metallic finish and those are some of my favorite finishes in the entire line, those and the pressed pigments. Leopard is this INTENSE royal purple. It's matte and full blown purple. It's gorgeous. Drift is your typical cranberry color that's perfect for the holidays. It's a pearlized finish so it's got a sheen to it more than a shimmer. I actually thought it would be a much deeper red/burgundy but it's not it's a medium toned burgundy. I love cranberry shades they are so overlooked and they shouldn't be because they're gorgeous on everyone. This is Rayezor, the collaboration with Raye Boyce. It's SO my style. It's just a perfect greyish mauve which I love. If you like Brink, I think you would like this. It reminds me of Underground from Gerard Cosmetics only better. It's just so pretty and very "everyday" in my opinion. I only have the lippie pencil as you know I prefer them to lipsticks. She also created a very beautiful liquid lipstick called Stingraye that I wish I would've gotten. It's a dead on dupe for Jefree Star Androgyny and ABH Veronica. Such popular colors but this one is $6. This is one of the new holiday colors. It's called Scrooge. Which I though was so cute. It's a very pretty medium berry. It's almost pink but a little too dark to be pink so it qualifies as berry but it's not deep at all. So if you don't like plums or anything dark but you want something that's not incredibly bright, you may really like this shade. Also just $6. This is the gel liner in Swerve. I just got black because I needed a black gel liner and also I hadn't heard the best reviews on this so I felt black was a safer route. I absolutely love this gel liner. It's very creamy in the pot and goes on very smooth and easy. It dries matte and doesn't budge. I'm not sure if that's why people didn't like them because they dry kinda fast and you couldn't really work with them after that, but I find that if you mess up gel liner anyway you're kinda screwed whether it dries fast or not. I mean if you mess it up and try fixing it it's gonna smudge so at least this really doesn't smudge. I haven't had any issues with it though. It goes on smooth and gives me plenty of time to draw my wing plus it's very easy to take off. A makeup wipe takes mine off. My Makeup Geek liner requires lots of rubbing and eye makeup remover. This was also $6. So in this looks I'm wearing:
Rayezor on the lips Swerve gel liner Leopard and Glitterati (center of the lid) on the eye. Glitterati is so beautiful, it looks silver but it has a golden duo chrome to it and it's so pretty. No time for chit chat. Let's get out our pens and paper and come up with a game plan of what we're gonna buy and when. So here's a list of the sale ads I've seen or emails I've received:
There will be more I'm sure. These are the ones that caught my eye. For those of you who like fashion:
The Sephora Friends and Family sale is fixing to begin. For VIB Rouge we get early access from the 6th to the 9th. It's the regular 20% off and the code will be "ROUGE20" for online purchases. This will only work if you are VIB Rouge. The store event will be the 5th 7-9pm first access for VIB Rouge. I don't know if the VIB's get access from the 6th-9th as well or if it'll be after. There usually is another code but I can't find it yet. I will update this post as soon as I do. I got my card the other day in the mail so the others should be arriving.
So I thought I would put together some things that would be a good buy, since you're getting 20% off. Some you've seen me talk about in previous posts as good gift ideas and what not but I just wanted to touch on those again and some other ones that are really spectacular. Not all of these are on my list. I actually have a very small list.
I have been collecting Halloween makeup and what not for about 3 weeks or so. I had some from last year but this year I really stepped it up. Last year was my first time really experimenting with sfx or artistry, I wasn't sure how to go about it and so I just got a lot of Wal-Mart halloween makeup to just see how it went. I really loved it and it became a great outlet for me so this year I got some legit stage makeup and sfx things So I got artist brushes to not ruin any my actual makeup brushes. These are inexpensive. I ordered them from Amazon but you can get some in the craft section at Wal-Mart, at Hobby Lobby or Michael's. Or any craft store I would assume. I got several colored Hair Sprays from Wal-Mart again, you can also get them from Frends Beauty that are probably a little better quality. I got a bunch of Ben Nye products: Cream colors in Blue, Violet, and White. Aqua Cake paints in White and Lime Green. Thick Blood. A primary color wheel. I love the Thick Blood for SFX wounds it's amazing. I like the Aqua Paints really well too. The cream colors I'm on the fence with they tend to smear on me and I lose my coverage. I'm going to use them for a Corpse Bride look this week though so that will be the real test. I got all the Ben Nye stuff from Frends Beauty. Snazaroo face paint in black. This I apply with a wet sponge. I really like it. It's huge and it's not very expensive. I got mine from Amazon and I think I'll get the other primary colors in it. Vampire Blood and black cream paint from Wal-Mart. I use the Vampire Blood because it's thinner so to have a dripping look or to have smeared blood look. The black paint is helpful with sfx as for "charred" looks. It not good for actual face paint though. Way too patchy and sheer. This look is using the hair sprays. I used white first on my dark hair and just hit it with the colors over top. I didn't want it to entirely cover up my dark hair but I wanted the colors to stand out I used White, Blue, and Pink. This look is a broken doll. I used Ben Nye cream paint in White and Aqua Cake in white over top to make it more opaque. Snazaroo black paint for the broken part. Liner for cracks and detailing. The blue eye is just an app because I didn't want to get actual contacts. I'm afraid of unknown contact brands, contacts in general make my eyes burn and water. |
