I though it would be cool to start up an "empties" section on the blog. There's really no better way to see how well someone liked something till you see it getting used up. Also I love watching empty videos on YouTube. This also helps to make me finish up a product not just skip around until they expire. It literally makes me use them up. I think I've got a good amount to talk about right now. So starting with:
Apsara Neem Cleanser. This is my second bottle. It's just the perfect cleanser in my opinion. It's a gel consistency. There is no soap involved. No residue left over. No tight feeling and I loveeeee the smell. Sunday Riley Good Genes. This was a pretty big bottle but I was racing against the clock to use it up before it was bad and started to smell. lol I had got in the habit of changing my skin care up every night and especially going to glycolic products more so than this. I always have a bottle of this. Always. It's my ride or die for when my skin just needs a solid routine of stuff it's used to. It's only Lactic Acid so in theory more gentle than Glycolic but I find it quite strong. Lotion P50 1970 formula. For those of you who don't know this is a cult favorite of die hard skincare fans and it's acid exfoliation. It has EVERY acid in it that there is. I have the stronger formula which is also the original. I use this the most out of any acid treatment I have. I already have a new and bigger bottle. They have quite a few formulas but 1970 is the original I think. It smells horrible but it does work. The Ordinary Toning Solution. I'll be honest I didn't up the dropper top thing on top that it comes with and it rusted the cap. So most of this got tossed. I do like it but I like other affordable products better. This is such a huge bottle though that in theory I guess this is the most affordable looking at it that way. It's a great place to start if you're thinking about acids. Drunk Elephant Firma C serum. I love this stuff it's no surprise to anyone. I absolutely love it. It's one of the best formula out I think. Sunday Riley CEO Rapid Flash Serum. This is 15% of a stabilized type of Vitamin C. I do really like it. I have 2 bottles of it now actually. It's a great milder vitamin c and I used it during the day most of the time. Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Serum. This is Vitamin B5 and Hyaluronic Acid if I'm not mistaken. With other stuff of course. B5 is making a huge hit right now in the skincare world and I see that they often put it with HA. So while I do love this one and continue to use it, I would probably give The Ordinary Vitamin B5 + HA a try because it's much cheaper. Algenist Liquid Collagen. I used every last drop. I loved the way it smelt, I loved the way it worked with my skin and absorbed quickly. I just loved it. I've not see anything that compares right now. Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream. I really liked this. I used it at night as my final step and it was a very light weight cream. I have another one on stand by. I really trust this brand though so anything they do usually works well I find. Fresh Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream. This is my morning cream. I have a back up of course. lol I love this cream. It has vitamin c in it but that doesn't mean you shouldn't use vitamin c serums because of it. I asked Fresh about that myself actually. It smells wonderful. It does give you a radiant look and it just wakes you up. Fresh Black Tea Firming Corset Cream. I find the Black Tea line the most soothing and cooling. Of course they smell wonderful. This cream I tend to use more on my neck and chest as well as my face. I also prefer to use it at night because I find that it's a more "rich" formula. Tatcha Violet C Radiance Mask. This is a lovely purple mud mask. I like it because it doesn't tighten my face up, it doesn't dry down and get weird, it gives somewhat of a glow and some hydration as well. I don't know if I'll repurchase it again but I do really love it. Laneige Sleeping Mask. I've already re-purchased this. It's so cooling like a blast of cold water. I like to really cake it on. It's not that expensive for the full size ($25) and it's just a great way to cool down at night under hot blankets or to save your skins hydration thanks to dry conditions. It's awesome in the summer when you're burning up. It actually feels very nice when you have a fever as well. Just fyi. Buca Botanicals Camellia + Rose oil. I loved this.....but I think it was due mostly to the Camellia oil in it. It's a thicker oil. I really do love this oil and I'm sure eventually I'll get it again. If you don't like having an oily face for a hot minute while this is on then do not get it. It's not for you. The Granola Goat Magnesium Lotion. My friend Liz is a genius, ok? She's a genius. This is Nilotica Shea Butter which makes it soooooooo creamy and magnesium to help the body relax and helps with headaches which is why I was using it so much. It also has peppermint EO in it. I already am half way through my second one. I love it so much. This is the only shea butter it seems I can use consistently. I like to add other Essential Oils to mine to help with sleep like Stress Away or Lavender. You only need a teaspoon. Well done Liz, as always. I pray you never discontinue this. So that's it. I hope you enjoyed it. I hope it was helpful. I don't know how often these posts will be for "Empties" but I still think it's really fun.
