Time to talk hair. Once again Kenra has given me the opportunity to try some products, the new #Kenragriptrio. A Dry Wax Defining Spray (5), High Hold Defining Mousse (9), and High Hold Defining Hairspray (20). I feel like if you're into braids or doing your own updo's or updo's for others, anything that requires bobby pins to hold your hair in place, you may very well want one of these products. I will say they are no joke though. They do what they say they will do. So if you want an everyday hairspray then the High Hold Defining Spray may not be what you need, see my other review about their hairsprays because they're lovely and offer a range of volume, medium hold, sculpting, high hold, and maximum hold. Also they offer a matte finish. It's a cool line.
So like I said these are for you if you are doing certain styles like braids, updo's, etc. Also they keep a curl in for DAYS. Start lightly at first, with the sprays at least. I find if I spray to much of the 20, the Defining Hairspray, it can have a white cast on the hair and white marks on my dark shirt if I accidentally sprayed it while spraying my hair. **Talked with Kenra and they said if you would shake the bottle then you don't get the white cast apparently, which is awesome!** Plus you can feel it in the hair too if you spray a lot. So that's why I say go light at first, add more as you need it. So with hair products, I think it's just best to show you what they can create and maintain. Thus, that's what I'm doing again. Specifically, more "looks" than everyday wear. Super curly hair, so on. So what we have here is a side dutch braid done very tightly with a deep part to give that "half shaved" look and then long curly hair on the other side. Super, super curly hair used with a 3/4 in curling iron and larger chunks of hair. A dutch braid headband kinda and a side swept rope braid. They lasted all day and the curls lasted even longer. I really do recommend them if you love doing looks like this, they hold up especially well in the heat and humidity too so, bonus. Here's the "about" from the company: "Tired of heavy styling products weighing you down? Get a grip on texture with the NEW Kenra Grip Collection.
