Holy Grail Status: SOS Mask

Once in a while you come into contact with a hero product, a holy grail, a best of the best. It doesn't happen too often but it does happen. I have a new holy grail product to add to the list now! Which is the SOS Dry Mask from The Granola Goat.

You know I love The Granola Goat products so much, I love Liz the owner she's a rock star and my botanical guru. She makes the most simplistic and effective "clean" products I've ever seen. I've never been disappointed by one of her products yet.
This one has saved my ass. I've been dealing with some blemishes and weird breakouts on the side of my nose. I had used a Moor Mud mask and it set my skin off! So I tried so much stuff to calm it down and I just couldn't do anything other than dry it out. Some days it'd look less red, less bumpy, the next it would be a full blown irritated, dry and flaky dermatitis situation.

So I remembered that the last time something popped up and I used the SOS mask which I had bought to keep on stand by for little blemishes. I was truly worried about using another mask because this flared up due to a Moor Mud mask I was using which draws out impurities with activated charcoal etc, etc. The "Moor Mud" itself may not have been the issue because there were other ingredients but I think something in that mask was a problem for me. The SOS mask has sulfur in it. The reason I wanted to give it a go is because actually Sulfur as an ingredient can calm down a rosacea skin upon some articles I was reading. Along with it being a blemish treatment, great for acne, draws out impurities, etc. So it literally is an SOS Mask.

I use it more like a spot treatment. When I have a blemish or some crazy breakout pop up, I mix the mask with some water and apply it with a q-tip to the areas that need it. I've used it as an overnight treatment but honestly 15 minutes is really all I need at night. Then I wake up in the morning and it's either gone completely or sooooo much better. So this time the redness was virtually gone, the area was not super dried out ( bear in mind I use HA serum and a facial oil a lot), bumps had either gotten smaller or gone away. Now that's because with blemishes, like legit spots, I get on those quick I don't let them get any worse than they are if I can help it or I try not to. Obviously with stuff that looks like a rash or something you're not familiar with it pays to be more cautious and maybe see a doctor or dermatologist before trying a bunch of treatments on it to see if that will make it go. I was really cautious with my situation and it took me a while to come around to the idea of trying another mask and doing some research on the breakout I was having.

It worked out great. I still use it on days that I seem to have a small breakout starting. Thus, the reason why it's Holy Grail status for me. Also, major shout out to Goals To Get Glowing (@goalstogetglowing on Instagram, go follow her) because she was actually the person to ask Liz to make this product, then it turned into a mask that she started to sale on her website.  So thanks to both of those beauties for bringing the world a really wonderful blemish treatment, in my humble opinion.
