I'm writing a blog post for what I #Standfirm for which is a joint campaign I get the honor to be in with Algenist and Free 2 Luv. Free 2 Luv helps spread the positivity and love and support. As does Algenist, I've always admired that about them. Algenist also released their new firming/lifting product Elevate, which I will review later, for this campaign as well. It went off without a hitch on the 15th I believe and it was a beautiful thing to see. Not as much on promotion about the product just seeing what everyone "stood firm" for and I think we need that.....especially right now. It is now 12:03 am (here in TN) on the 23rd of May. A few hours earlier a bomb was placed out side of Manchester Arena in England while a sold out crowd of 21,000 was enjoying a concert. The bomb went off outside as people were exiting. At this moment 19 have died and 50 have been injured, so far. **The totals are now to 22 deaths and really an unconfirmed number of injuries** Kids have been separated from their parents. Hotel's and the public have opened their homes to the people who were at the concert. It's being categorized as a terrorist attack thus far.
.....I don't have words that are going to fix this. I thought that out of the sorrow I feel it would be a good time to talk about what I stand firm for which is: Faith. Faith is what I turn to in my darkest hours you see. My faith in the Heavenly Father first, faith in my family, loved ones, myself, this campaign, and mankind. Yes I'm one of those who believe that there are still good people out there and if you can't see the good then be the good. We may not agree on every single thing or topic but doesn't change the fact that I have love in my heart for mankind. It doesn't mean that I want things my way but rather I want us to work together, be united for the same cause, which is to help our fellow man. I heard a person give a definition of their mother and they said "the faith you exhibited plus the love you had for your fellow man would provide the hope you needed to succeed." So Faith allowed and provides your Hope. Hope for humanity. Hope for a better day. Hope your test results come back good. Hope that tomorrow we see more kindness. Hope and Faith seem to run close together. With faith I believe there is always a firmness about it. Hope is almost like a gift that you receive or give to others by your actions and words. I know you probably think I have no idea what I'm talking about because I'm not from there. Maybe I don't. I'm not in their shoes, so truly I can't tell you what they're thinking or feeling. I do, however, remember when the Twin Towers were struck. I remember where I was, how old I was, the tears, the cries, the horror, and then the prayer that spanned across a nation under God. The overwhelming desire to help and to be united as one, to fight back against an evil that seemed like a phantom for many years. I remember what happened in my own state in Chattanooga when their was shots fired and lives lost. I remember the massacre at Sandy Hook. 1 person ruined 100's of lives by killing innocent people. I remember each act that has made us turn and acknowledge each other out of our busy lives, and just ask them if they're ok or if they needed anything. So while I'm not there and I don't know what's going on for sure, my heart still breaks. My eyes still shed tears of sorrow over such a cruel thing to do. I Stand Firm in my Faith, therefore I firmly believe and have faith that this too shall pass and you will rise up stronger than before. My prayers go out to you. If you need to be uplifted I think you should check out the #standfirm splash page and mosaic. I'll link those here: https://www.algenist.com/standfirm/ I'm well aware this doesn't fix anything. It doesn't even begin to. If you only take one thing away from this I want it to be this: Love is stronger than hate. Love will always prevail in the end. * Also Algenist will be giving you 10% off and donating 10% to Free2Luv until the 31st of May code "FREE2LUV"* A review of the new Elevate cream will be coming up later this week.
