JD Glow Cosmetics Eye Shadow Review

Recently I got introduced to JD Glow cosmetics. In particular their eye shadows. I'm just gonna tell you right off the bat and spoil the surprise, I love them. Go get them. Now. I'll wait. Then we can talk about how wonderful they are together and eat popcorn and what not.

So I originally seen the Galaxy shadows and wanted to check them out. Then I realized they had more than just Galaxy...they have Matte, Shimmer, and Metallon lines as well. The majority of the shades I have are Galaxy though because I was really intrigued by the color shift in them. They're a mainly "duo chrome" shadow I feel or at least the ones I have seem that way, which you know I love. Some have shimmer, some are more foiled. They're just a big ball of fun.....or pressed pan of fun.

These are $7.50 a pan. Which is really good. Especially for the size. I'm going to say these are almost double the size of a MAC, ABH or MUG single shadows. If they aren't they're impressively bigger. So for that alone the price is so insanely affordable. Quickly I want to mention that they have an array of other beautiful products that I haven't got to try yet from lips to highlighters. So they're actually a pretty good sized company in my opinion. With a lot more to offer and I'm going to bet that since these are so insanely good the rest of their products are probably just as good.

The swatches from top to bottom are as follows: Peacock, Haze, Anomaly, Whip Appeal, Lit, Emerald and Sunray

So here's my brief description of what I see in these shadows:

Peacock: This is a satin borderline foiled finish shade. Which has the teal and blue shifts in it.

Haze: I thought this was purple online but it's actually a bright blue with purple shifts to it but predominantly blue. This does seem to have a bit of shimmer in it but not much. I still would say it's mainly a crazy pigmented satin-ish finish

Anomaly: This shade friends....this is what dreams are made of. This is a blue and purple shift with crazy shimmer and the color shift is SO noticeable. It's just the prettiest thing I've ever seen. It looks like a bright blue online but it's much darker actually.

Whip Appeal: This is a satin-ish finish that is medium orange and dark pink shift. It's more subtle than the others but still just as pigmented and so pretty.

Lit: This shade is another one that just gives me life. I want to wear it or Anomaly every single day of my existence. It's a bright light pink or light coral pink, pretty much foiled finish, all types of wonderful, shade. I wouldn't really say it's rose gold, it's much more pink than what I vision as a rose gold. It does have a golden shift almost and it's quite shimmery much like Anomaly. It's so insane. GET THIS ONE.

Emerald: This is from the Metallon line. It's a perfect emerald green. When I seen it I thought "finally an emerald green that isn't too dark". Which is the case most of the time they are too dark so they don't look green, they look black, or they're too bright. This is a perfect jewel toned green

Sunray: This is from the shimmer line. This is the most intense cool toned yellow I've ever seen. Like a lemon yellow. It's absolutely beautiful. It is shimmery but it's also insanely foiled too so it's not like a "glitter" eye shadow. It's my favorite yellow I have. Strictly because of the shade of yellow that it is. Which you don't see often.

All the other shades aside from Sunray and Emerald are Galaxy shadows. They all have a scent to them as well, I can smell it as soon as I open my palette. It doesn't bother me, it's not an offensive scent at all but I thought I'd mention it. Also the shadows are really super soft and creamy. I've found the only ones that have a different feel to them I personally think are: Anomaly which feels a bit more dry but not much, and Emerald which just doesn't feel as soft as the others. Either way it's not a huge difference and that doesn't bother me either, both of those shadows still perform insanely good and are incredibly pigmented just like the rest and when I say the "feel is different" it's just barely different.

So obviously you know my thoughts. Go get them. I actually ordered 4 more right before I started working on this blog post. I love them and I can't stress it enough. The link to their site is at the top of this post. Seriously....go get them. Try them you will not be sorry!

Below I've posted some photos of me wearing some of them. The first picture is Anomaly, Peacock and Emerald. The second picture is Lit and Whip Appeal.

They're all from JD Glow Cosmetics online. The link is in the first part of the blog post. Click on the highlighted or different colored font in that first sentence and it should take you straight there. The glittery ones are mainly from the Galaxy line, those have the most shine.
