People, let’s discuss some gifts that most people would enjoy. Body products. With an emphasis on bath products because I love bath products, but I realize that some people are just a “shower person”. So, we’re going to have a selection in here. These are also going to be products that you can hopefully find relatively easy in store Starting with bath products. Here lately I’ve been watching people make “bath cocktails” and a lot of the time it’s with LUSH products but regardless they shove everything in that bath! They put it in a little tiny metal strainer, first of all, and I think that’s genius. So guess who got a strainer? ME. They will put EVERYTHING in that bath mix though including bath salts, bubble bars, bubble dough, shower gel, shower jellies, slices of bar soap, etc. Anyway it really got me to thinking of how I should be getting the most benefit out of my bath products by combining them instead of using a bath milk here and bath salts the next time.
I recently got a package from Green Goo and it was really interesting. They sent me some bath salts though in Lavender and I absolutely love them. You can find Green Goo at Dillard’s actually. They’re a “natural herbal” brand. In the set there was also a Skin Repair stick which is symptom relief for sun burns, minor burns, puffy or tired eyes, and basically just feels good on sensitized skin. They also have a salve for dry skin, itchy flaky skin due to eczema, psoriasis dry red bumps, cracked dry skin, etc. They have a few other products but depending on what you like or what fits you best I say start there. I can’t actually pick between the symptom relief products and the bath salts because I love them equally. As I’ve mentioned before I’m also a big fan of milk baths. I love the Elemis Milk Bath personally. There are tons of options though when it comes to that though especially at ULTA. I plan on trying some different brands after Christmas. Bubble bath is always amazing, but I really do like bubble bars. I see Crayola (yes, the crayons) came out with bubble bars and shower jellies. I’m sure they’re meant for kids but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to try them. They’re at Wal-Mart and the bubble bars are just $3. Also, ULTA again has a ton of bubbly fun when it comes to bubble bars and bubble bath liquid. ULTA is what I recommend mostly, because they have more of a selection unless you have a LUSH near you. They have bath bombs too. I ‘m using one called Raspberry Pop tonight from Victoria’s Secret PINK. I’ve had LUSH bubble bars and I really do like them I just don’t have one close. So as a last-minute gift option LUSH wouldn’t be what I went with simply because I’d have to order it. If you have one near you though then definitely pick up some bath products as a gift or get one of their gift sets. Whether you’re a shower or a bath person I like a good body scrub. My “go-to” favorite is from Tree Hut and I find it at Walgreens usually. It’s not expensive and you get a ton of product in there. My favorite scent is “coconut lime” but they have other scents as well. I like this one because it’s just the right combo of being enough exfoliation and “scrub” without being too thick and crumbly, or too thin and runny. As far as moisturizer goes for the body, I typically use one thing only and that’s Jergens Wet Moisturizer in Coconut. You apply it to wet skin as soon as you get out of the bath or shower and go on about your day. It’s just easier and the scent doesn’t linger because it absorbs quickly. If you want a more luxury gift, then check out L’Occitane body products at Sephora. They smell amazing and are cult favorites basically, so you can’t really go wrong with that. If you know someone who really enjoys essential oils, then you may not be able to get them their preferred brand with a trip to the store, but you still can get a tiny desk diffuser or a really pretty oil diffuser for bigger spaces or for the bath room to run while you’re taking a bath or a shower. I use one while I’m in the bath tub and I enjoy the glow from it as well as feeling extra relaxed after my shower. I try to consider that there are many people who prefer essential oils and not “parfum” fragrance that’s added to products or those who are very sensitive to added fragrance or certain ingredients in products. In those cases, I like to get things that can benefit them in another way like a cool new diffuser to use or a cool storage system for the products they already have. Even making up a basket of small things like soft micro fiber or muslin facial cloths because those are so necessary yet so underrated and rarely thought of, maybe add a dry brush to the basket as another form of exfoliation, a hair turban/towel if they have long hair like me and always put their hair in a towel. The possibilities are endless. There are even trays now that go on your bath tub that you can move as a little table to set a drink on, a book, candles, whatever you want really to have right there sitting over the water with you. Those are some thoughts on last minute gifts that you can pick up at the mall or the store. I think anyone would enjoy them and it gives the person receiving it a good excuse to take a time out and relax or take extra care of their self.
