Hey guys. I though it'd be a nice change to talk about a few makeup products that I've been loving lately. It should be interesting because I've not bought makeup in a while and just products to try at that point. I've been trying to use products that I already have in my collection. So this is products that I find I reach for the most but they're like unsung heroes at this point. Getting started is an eyeshadow primer that I can't believe more people aren't talking about. The Covergirl Lid Lockup Eye Primer. This does such a good job. It's so underrated. It's between $8-$9 depending where you buy it from. With ULTA of course you can use $3.50 off a $15 purchases. I've even used this to adhere loose pigments and glittery pigments but I prefer to use glitter glue for actual glitters. Speaking of Covergirl I also have LOVED their TruNaked Eyeshadow palettes especially the Chocoholic that smells like chocolate and the Sunsets Palette. My friend Savannah, AKA Poodle, really loves the peach one. They are so worth checking out. Above is the Chocoholics palette along with some of the Covergirl Lipsticks and another fave of mine their Melting Pouts. Don't forget Covergirl is now Cruelty Free. Another product I'm reaching for a lot lately is Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. Apparently the reviews aren't great on Sephora for this but I absolutely love it. It's a touch thicker and it's what I wear when I want to be flawless and glam. It's what I wear for events and everything. I sometimes mix it with my Catrice HD foundation but I always mix foundation with Catrice. The finish is more "natural" in my opinion, it's hard to explain it doesn't look matte but it's not dewy and it does look like you have foundation on so it's not "like skin". Staying with foundation I've also been liking the Wander Beauty Nude Illusion foundation. I really like this. It's thinner, it has a satin finish I feel. It has very good coverage for being so thin. It's hard to use too much of this because it's a doe foot applicator. (Think Tarte Shape Tape applicator). I would prefer it to be a pump but I prefer all foundation to be in a pump. In the picture about I'm wearing Wander Beauty, Bendy Avocado Concealer. I'm still using the First Aid Beauty Bendy Avocado Concealer every time I do my makeup because it does the best as far as keeping my under eye area hydrating. Moving along, I'm really into the Dior Backstage Contour Palette. It's not just contour, it has subtle highlight, and warms up the skin as well if that's what you like. As I've said before I love the Dior Backstage line. It's not as expensive as the Dior Beauty line but I think it's better. I found a blush that I love so much. Tarte blush in Feisty. I can't find this anywhere in the full size....typical. I got this in a point perk of a Tarte Cosmetics bundle. The blush is matte and it's a little bolder on the skin, but gives the most amazing warmth and glow to the skin. It's almost like a burnt peach. I've also really loved the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara from Tarte. I know that I'm late to the game on that one but I gave it a fair shot the past few days in a travel size tube (which is my favorite) and it's really held up and done great. Of course, you guys probably already know it's great. One more lip product that I can't live without and it's in my bags, in my car, on my vanity, etc is the Buxom Pillow Pouts. Which is a lip pluming color powder. I thought I'd hate these but I love them. They're full coverage. They don't dry your lips out like a liquid lip would. I'm sure they won't be for everyone but I'll try and insert some pics of me wearing them so you can see how opaque they are. Up above on the left is Kiss Me Pillow Pout and on the right it's Cozy Up Pillow Pout I've also been obsessed with Inglot AMC Gel Liner in 78, I believe it's called. It's a matte charcoal and it doesn't budge!! I have been loving charcoal grey wings instead of blackest black. For some reason, I feel like it makes my eye color pop more. It's not as harsh as black. It's my go to look lately and can't say enough good things about their gel liners. If you don't want to use a cream or gel liner and brush to apply liner then maybe try a liquid liner. I'm thinking the Stila "Alloy" liquid liner might be a really nice liquid one. To be clear I want the wing grey charcoal, not soft black. I want it more on the grey side. I don't actually like the picture above because I think I look so "flat" and sick, but the charcoal wing is really noticeable especially against black mascara. Which is what I love.
Those are my recent faves. Nothing incredibly new. Just some consistent favorites that I noticed I've been using through the holidays and basically any time I put on makeup for that matter.
