Guys.....I'm going to be yet another person to tell you about the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define foundation that they recently released. I'm going to give you some details and also I will start by saying this is one of the best foundations I've tried in 2018. No joke. So far I only have about 3 foundations that I've tried this year among many, that I am in love with it. So lets talk about it. There are 24 shades I believe, and the go from fairest of fair to some really deep shades as well. I know that 20+ shades aren't going to get the recognition of 40 shades we're seeing. However, I think the way the went about choosing shades is really good.
I have shade F5. It seems a little more orange based so I wish I would've gotten a lighter and more yellow based shade but it still blends out really well. I probably will get another one that is slightly lighter and more yellow based to mix in with this or wear on it's own too. In general I wouldn't buy 2 shades of the same foundation since I have plenty that I can mix, but these are just $12 and ULTA has coupons all the time for $3.50 off as well. So I feel like it's not as bad to get two of these as opposed to say two Marc Jacobs or two NARS shades because the prices for two of the Makeup Revolution would be less than half the price of one Marc Jacobs for example. This is a doefoot applicator which everyone is doing lately and I hate that. I prefer a pump. You get 23ml in this and a typical foundation is 30 ml but I don't mind that because I use very little of this product actually to get the coverage I want. I prefer to blend my foundation with kabuki and dense brushes. I do use a sponge sometimes. I've used this with both methods. I actually like the brush a little more but I think that's just because that's what I prefer to use. I got really great coverage. I don't feel like it's full coverage. It's definitely close, but it also could be the fact that it's super lightweight in my opinion. So I think you'll be fine in whatever way you want to apply it. I find that this plays well with literally everything. I use a smoothing and nourishing primer mainly and this is still matte finish and blends very well. Powder products do very well on top of it. I don't notice it moving the foundation or getting patchy. I don't really set it with any powder. I don't notice getting a shiny T-Zone all that much either. I wore it for 12 hours today and was very surprised that I needed very little touching up (like getting rid of the shine) through the day or at the end of the day. I have a feeling it's going to be my go to foundation when I don't want to wear the Catrice HD foundation. So with all of that being said. I obviously really like it. I'm going to leave their description, ingredients as always. I'll also be adding in a swatch on my arm taken with flash because it's 1 am right now. I'm also going to add a pic of me wearing it in natural light. This isn't sponsored at all. I bought this from ULTA online and used a coupon.
