Hey guys...still sick. Sorry I've been absent. Anyway, as you know I love OSEA Malibu skincare products. I've talked about them multiple times in the past and I don't know how many Hyaluronic Sea Serum(s) I've went through and also my beloved Cleansing Milk. Not too mention many more. I'm happy to say that they have a promo going on right now for Memorial Day weekend and I've got some new products to talk about (new to me). I am an affiliate with OSEA, I didn't have to do a post but I wanted to for the promotion this weekend. They didn't ask me to so this isn't sponsored but there are affiliate links in here. Let's talk about the new (to me) products first and then I'll give you my top 5 afterwards.
So first we have the Cleansing Mudd. I wanted to try this for the days, especially here lately, where I need a little more than just a gentle cleanse to rid of the sweat and basically everything seeping out of my pores. This one is for more "oily-combination skin". It's an exfoliating cleanser which I think is a dead giveaway with the name. It also says for normal skin to use a few times a week for a deeper cleanse. Which is exactly what I wanted and that's exactly how I want to use it. The claim on it is: "This exfoliating, oil-balancing cleanser deeply purifies and thoroughly decongests oily and blemished skin. A potent blend of USDA Certified Organic Algae and Cypress oil removes surface impurities and visibly balances blemishes. Tea Tree, Peppermint, and Rosemary provide a cooling sensation and leave skin feeling refreshed, energized, and clarified." This doesn't really fall into the category of physical exfoliation in my book. Meaning it doesn't feel gritty like a scrub. It really does have a cooling effect and you can really smell the Rosemary and Tea Tree in it very much. If feels wonderful on the skin and especially afterwards. I like using it in the morning more especially because of the cooling effect and the fact that it kinda wakes you up. Also, in the summer I can always use some help with oil production and it leaves the skin mattified without feeling stripped. Like I said it's something that I will use a few times a week and not every day unless I just need to. It's been great so far. It's $48, has 5 oz, glass bottle and pump packaging with a twist lock on the pump. The key ingredients: Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract a brown algae abundant in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Helps minimize the appearance of surface impurities and irritation and visibly diminishes uneven skin texture. Cypress (Cupressus Sempervirens) Oil balances oily skin and diminishes the appearance of blemishes. Contains several antioxidant compounds. Jojoba (Simmondsia Chinensis) Seed Oil plumps fine lines and wrinkles for a youthful, refined complexion. Rich in vitamin E. Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Leaf Oil helps diminish appearance of blemishes, excess oil and irritation on the surface of skin. Rich in antioxidants and revered for its energizing, herbaceous aroma. Tea Tree (Melaleuca Alternifolia) Oil gently eliminates excess oil on skin’s surface without drying and helps diminish the appearance of blemishes and oily shine. Next is the Vitamin Sea Serum: This reminds me of the Hyaluronic Sea Serum in texture somewhat. It's not very runny but it reminds me more of a gel type of texture almost. One pump is more than enough for my face. It has a mild scent to it but not much and I don't know what it is. It absorbs very quickly and feels really nice. Trust me you need very very little because looks are deceiving. This feels much more hydrating than a Hyaluronic Acid because usually those absorb so fast but they don't really leave the top layer of the skin feeling that hydrated because they're basically working more underneath. With this you can still feel that hydration. It gives a nice glow to the skin as well. It has one of my favorite ingredients which is Turmeric. I also love that it has in Green Tea in it. It's heavy with antioxidants which makes it a superfood for the face. This would be a great addition to any routine it would also be a good option if you don't jive with facial oils. I use it with my facial oils anyway but there are many people who don't like oils and I think this would be a great alternative. This is $68 for .6 oz in glass pump packaging. The claims on this is: "This potent, anti-aging serum with Hyaluronic Acid and a nourishing blend of Organic Seaweeds delivers lasting hydration to help smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Antioxidant-rich Turmeric and Green Tea restore the appearance of youthful plumpness and vitality. Skin is visibly firmed and deeply hydrated." The key ingredients are: Gigartina Skottsbergii Extract a red algae that deeply hydrates skin and promotes the appearance of youthful volume and firmness. Helps protect skin from external aggressors such as wind, dry climates and air pollution. Rich in polysaccharides, vitamins and minerals. Undaria Pinnatifida Extract a brown marine algae rich in iodine, iron, potassium, calcium and vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6 and B12. Contains Fucoidan, a particularly hydrating compound that promotes a youthful, plump appearance. Reduces appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while also minimizing the appearance of surface redness. Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract a brown algae abundant in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Helps minimize the appearance of surface impurities and irritation and visibly diminishes uneven skin texture. Sodium Hyaluronate a vegan fermented form of Hyaluronic Acid that helps maintain skin's natural moisture barrier. Turmeric brightens the appearance of skin for a radiant complexion. Rich in antioxidants. Those are my first real impressions of the products I didn't have. Now I will quickly give you a top 5 of the products I love from them.
They have some awesome sets and they do offer travel sizes individually in some products, like the cleansers. The promo is that you get a free full size of the Atmosphere Protection Cream (also very good), with a purchase of $125 or more. Visit OSEA and get in on this before it ends Monday. Have a happy and safe weekend.
