Happy New Year! We haven't talked about Neostrata in a minute and it's not the Holidays without Neostrata in my line up. I have exciting news though they came out with a new product!
I've been using it for over a month. At the beginning I was layering too many products onto my neck because I bring my retinol down my neck, moisturizer, acid toning, vit c, etc. So it took me a minute to simplify my routine that I was in the habit of, to incorporate this correctly to include not just my face but also my neck because that's where I notice the majority of elasticity loss. I do however, have the starting of some crows feet or small lines around my eyes. I find this helpful because there aren't formula's out there in serums and treatments that can be taken past the orbital bone unless they're in the eye cream department. I've seen the before and after pictures of targeted areas that after 12 weeks of use the eye area especially looks far smoother. Also part of the SKIN ACTIVE line they have an Eye Therapy serum. That I feel used in conjunction gives even better benefits.
According to the company:
"Formulated to help volumize and sculpt skin, this proprietary triple antiaging complex fills the look of deep wrinkles and helps improve the appearance of skin laxity. Patented Amino Acid derivative, Aminofil® is concentrated to help target collagen and skin’s Hyaluronic Acid to to volumize, plump, and firm skin for a more lifted appearance. Gluconolactone, a Polyhydroxy Acid and chelator, helps to reduce oxidative damage and gently enhances exfoliation for more even skin tone. Due to its unique small size, LMW Hyaluronic Acid penetrates skin’s surface to attract moisture, providing hydration to visibly improve skin’s texture. NeoStrata SKIN ACTIVE Tri-Therapy Lifting Serum is a non-irritating, alcohol free, oil free, paraben free formulation." The clinical trials are as impressivfe as always. "% of Subjects with Clinical Improvement*, Week 12 97% Fine Lines 95% Tactile firmness 95% Skin Smoothness 92% Pinch recoil (firmness) 90% Clarity, Brightness 79% Wrinkles 61% Cheek wrinkles % of Subjects Noticing a Benefit, Week 12 100% Smoother texture 100% Brighter, more luminous 100% Firmness 97% Plumper, volumized 95% Fine lines 92% Wrinkles 92% Skin tone is more even 92% Brown spots are fading 87% Deep wrinkles *Clinical grading improvements on texture, firmness, hyperpigmentation, fine lines/wrinkles N=30, 40-60 yr females applied twice daily with SPF Moisturizer" I mean.......there's not much else to say the results really speak for their self. For myself I'm just now noticing my neck has some elasticity loss as well as noticing under my chin I'm looking firmer and in general the face looks plump which I feel is probably due to the Aminofil. I'm turning 30 in a month. My face has had an extensive routine for years but I neglected my neck a lot because that's where the product would ball up and I felt so gross. However, this has helped when I simplified everything and did my cleanse and then used a few drops of this first on my neck to chest and face. That's how it was able to work for me. I do notice that while the elasticity is better, the area in general is smoother, a lot smoother actually. I didn't have much discoloration for it to tackle but the skin as a whole looks younger and that's what I want to maintain within reason. We will all age but there's no sense in pre-mature aging if it can be avoided. I think this is good to have in your arsenal and it comes from a company I trust. I'm going to leave the ingredient deck below for you.
