New Holiday Releases

I know it's not even Halloween yet, but holiday collections are already rolling in at Sephora. I'm someone who really likes to get my shopping done as fast as possible and I've been buying Christmas gifts since July so I appreciate that these are being released already. Sephora of course isn't the only company that is receiving Holiday sets, Neiman Marcus and Macy's both have some really nice exclusive sets from YSL and Anastasia Beverly Hills. Ulta is getting sets in as well. Sephora is where my heart lies so that's where we're starting.


Row 1 top to bottom:

• Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 20-Plush Eyeshadow $99. This is a 20 shade compact palette, 18 of which are new shades.9 matte shades, 7 shimmer, 4 glitter shades. It's mainly neutral with a pull of purple in it as well. This is pricey as is everything else that's Marc Jacobs but so far I've only been pleased with the products from their makeup line and I think this will be good quality as well. I do think there are other products out there that will be just as good for half the price but if you wanted a really really nice gift to give someone this would be considered "very nice"
• Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Studded Kiss Lip Set $42. Kat Von has been killing the makeup game this year. From the shade light contour palette and eye shadow palettes to the metal crush shadows to "Lolita" liquid lipstick that is a cult favorite, she can basically do no wrong. Also QVC is selling some sets right now from her line that is worth checking out as well. This set includes one full sized lipstick ithat is a new shade in white packaging and 7 mini's from neutrals to brights and black. I don't usually go for sets that have this many lipsticks in them I like sets that have a range of different formulas and glosses, balms, liquid lipsticks, and regular lipstick. However her studded kiss lipsticks are supposed to be amazing and the price is not bad. It's not completely wearable for everyone but for that one person (like myself) who wears every color under the sun, they would really appreciate it.
• Urban Decay Vice 4 $60. Every year around this time Urban Decay release a Vice palette. Just liked every year so far they've released a Naked palette. This one seems different. It has 20 brand new shades. The packaging is killer. It comes with a bag and a double ended brush. This is one of the more colorful ones I've seen from them. It has not just color but bright colors. The shade finishes range from: matte, satin-matte, micro glitter matte, metallic pearl micro glitter, satin, tonal sparkle, so on so forth. It's quite captivating. Bottom line Urban Decay doesn't disappoint with their palettes in my opinion. There is another option if this is too bright for you and we'll get to it later in the post.
• Urban Decay Total Perversion Set $24. This is a full sized Perversion mascara and eyeliner. Both are amazing. This would be a great stocking stuffer or present because you can't go wrong with black mascara and liner from a good brand. This hasn't yet been released to everyone only VIB Rouge I think

• Fresh Skincare Heroes $58. Skincare sets will start rolling out very very quickly. Philosophy will have plenty of holiday scents and sets. Fresh has a few out already but this one caught my eye. It comes with: 1.7 oz of the Soy Cleanser, 1 oz Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream, 1 oz Rose Face Mask, and .15 oz Sugar Lip Treatment (balm). The packaging is cute and the reason I liked it was because of the Rose Face Mask. I love the Rose line from Fresh it smells amazing and it's very hydrating. 
• Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Eyeshadow Palette $59. I have already bought this there will be a review coming soon. It should arrive tomorrow. This is 24 " highly bold shades remixed from fan favorite Mi Vida Loca". I take it the formula is the new formula and the original palette had 8 shades while this one has 24. It's in the shape of a wheel with the inner wheel being neutral and the outer wheel being bright shades. It has a really good mix of matte and shimmer/glitter. There is every color under the sun (or at least on the color wheel) on this thing and I am in love. Again for someone who loves color this is an ideal present. I have been waiting, unknowingly, for a palette like this to come along for years that literally offers everything from red, yellow, green and neutrals as well.

• Tarte Light Of The Party Collector's Makeup Case $59. Tarte always puts out really good sets for the holidays, that don't just offer one thing they offer multiple things, and this is no different. In this case you actually get two palettes, mascara and a brush. The smaller palette is a face palette with bronzer, blush, highlighter and 4 eyeshadows. The big palette is 24 neutral shades. This is a fantastic set. My only issue is that is a lot of neutrals and I think that you wouldn't use all of them. I know I wouldn't because they are in the same color family for the most part being very pink, bronze, and warm based for the most part. None the less it's still a great set. I also really like that there is a smaller palette that you could take on the go with you that is more travel friendly.
• Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit $80. This is for Beauty Insiders. It's 3 Ambient Lighting face powders, 2 blushes and 1 bronzer. This is another really nice gift. It's quite pricey but their products are wonderful and I have the ambient face powders and blushes and they're both fantastic. This palette debuts the new strobe lighting powder as well. So you get: Iridescent Strobe Light, Dim Light, Diffused Light, Luminous Flush blush, Mood Exposure Blush, and Luminous Bronze Light. I have three out of the six shades it offers so I won't be purchasing it. I am very interesting in the Strobe Light powder though and I hope they'll be sold separately soon.
