Part 2 of my Sephora Sale recommendations is going to be makeup because that is the order in which I prioritize my spending. Skin always comes before makeup. None the less makeup is probably more exciting to buy if I'm being honest. I love skincare like you wouldn't believe and I do get very excited about it but you're not really gonna see the skincare on my face. So the sale starts today for VIB Rouge and the 30th for VIB and Insiders. I have the codes listed on my previous post. First I would tell you to stock up on your favorite foundations and concealer or try out one that you've been eyeing. I typically try new ones that I've been reading reviews on but my mother on the other hand has 2 favorite foundations from Make Up For Ever and she is not interested in changing that anytime soon. I'm not sure what actual foundation I would recommend because I'm at odds with the higher end ones right now but I would definitely recommend you get First Aid Beauty Tinted Moisturizer. It's a little more coverage than your average tinted moisturizer. A standby for me is always NARS Sheer Glow...which again means that is gives you a "sheer" (meaning a hint) of a glow instead of meaning it's sheer coverage. For concealer I would tell you to check out the Bendy Avocado concealer if you have dry under eyes and often times you look too cakey or powdery under your eyes. If you need more of a shade range I recommend the Too Faced Born This Way Sculpting Concealer. It's quite a bit of product and it's definitely full coverage however I like the finish of it better than Shape Tape. If you like primers then it's a good time to get those. The only primers I like at the moment are the ones that feel like moisturizer so I love First Aid Beauty Coconut Smoothie Priming Moisturizer and Stila Nourish primer. As far as a mattifying primer the Becca Evermatte is the most mattifying primer I've ever encountered. Be sure to check the "mini" section because there are tons of travel size options now for a lot of makeup including primers and mascaras especially. That's usually the route I go, I get the travel size version. Palettes are always fun to buy. In my opinion both eye palettes and face palettes are fun but I'm sure some would lean towards an eye palette more. So I'll start with that and say the Norvina palette from ABH because you know I love it, if you're more of a neutral person I'd tell you to get Soft Glam from ABH. Of course if you've been looking at Natasha Denona it's a great time to invest in that. The Tropic Palette is my absolute favorite. She has just released a mini 5 pan Lila Palette, and a regular size 5 pan Camel palette as well. For face palettes I really like the Benefit Cheek palettes they come out with. I didn't have very many Benefit cheek products I think I only had one. So to get 5 full size pans in this cute palette was amazing and led me to one of my favorite blushes which is Rockateur. I think they do face palettes very well. As far as contouring being part of the palette Kevyn Aucoin has released a new Contour Book Volume 3. It's got great sculpting shades, blush and highlight and I feel like he's the Godfather of Sculpting so it's kind of a safe bet. New Brands. It's a great time to try out some new brands. For instance Jouer is now being sold in Sephora which is fantastic. I love their liquid lipsticks. MILK is a very hot brand right now with the release of their KUSH products but they're still new. Fenty Beauty is still pretty new and they have a very wide range of products to offer. Charlotte Tilbury is also being sold at Sephora now as well. Sets. I always tell you to get some Value Sets. There is a Sephora Favorites Superstar Kit which looks to be mainly cult favorites. Several "Give Me Some Lip" sets that are always good and decently priced. There's even a "Luxury Beauty" set that is luxury brand lip products and mascaras. Too Faced has quite a few sets. Stila has some small ones but I would definitely get their Glitter and Glow trio's if you've not tried them yet. Luxury products. A sale always makes a price more justifiable doesn't it? First...perfume obviously. Hourglass and Marc Jacobs are probably the brands I love the most in regard to "luxury" makeup because nearly every product I get from them is very nice especially the powder products like bronzers, blush, etc. As I said earlier Charlotte Tilbury is available now at Sephora, she has some sets too....they're very expensive sets but I mean if you're gonna do it you might as well get 10-20% off of it. I like her Hollywood Flawless Filter and Magic Foundation.
So there ya go. Those are my thoughts on what to get for the sale. I am going to partake in this sale and I will do a haul when I get all my products in. Surprisingly, I've not bought anything from Sephora in months. So I basically got the things that I'd been looking at for a very long time, only one of those products was actually a brand new launch. I'll let you know how it goes and happy shopping!
