Guys Sephora is doing a summer sale. I thought this was their first summer sale but I believe they done one last year. Anyway it's happening now and unfortunately today is the last day. It's 20% off for Rouge, 15% off for VIB. This post is going to be a different approach though than my typical recommendations and I'll explain why below. I always tell you that these sales are the best times to get the things you've been wanting to splurge on. It's the time to get you luxury products because obviously it's saves you more money on those high priced items. I still say that the best time to get those products are during a sale but right now, there's not a lot of stuff that's really blowing our minds. It's more like this year is devoted to core products. I'm talking daily products that don't get as much attention as they should.
So my biggest recommendation is restock your "everyday" products. Restock you serums, your moisturizers, your foundation, your concealer, correctors, powders etc. Just restock your shelf. Aside from that, get products that are "direct" and have no industry jargon around them. They're straight to the point. There's one that comes to mind right now because I've been using their products for a month or more, and that's The Inkey List. They are new to Sephora. Their products are easy to understand, not a complex formula, and they have a nice range that has a lot of focus on the middle of the routine. The middle of the routine is where I put my treatments if you're wondering. So there's a lot of options here. My go to's are Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Retinol, and Lactic Acid. I'm currently trying more products but those are the ones that I've used the most. Not to mention the entire line is super affordable. There will be an in depth review to come. This has been the year of foundation and complexion products man. There is a TON of choices out. Luckily with much more choice in regards to skin tones. I like ILIA's foundation, I also still stand by Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. I've heard amazing things of the Urban Decay Naked Foundation and the concealer. I've not personally tried it yet but many people that I trust say that it works wonders. Basically get the things you need. Take care of your daily products. Start with skincare first because as always skin is the most important. If the skin is conditioned and maintained your makeup is going to work better for you. Like I said this post is different. It's more about maintenance and skincare health than anything else. I hope you have an excellent shopping day and let me know what you pick up!
