It's been a while since I've done a roundup of my favorite beauty products. So why don't I just do one then. I have quite a long list. I may break it into two posts. One for skin and one for makeup. That way it won't be crazy long and I can talk about the products more. So this is going to be the Skincare Favorites of right now. I'm hard on skincare, I'm extremely picky on what products I "like/love" because I test so many. I'm constantly rotating stuff so you have to MAKE ME want to use you. Either by results, the feel, or sensory bliss like smell etc etc. The first product want to discuss is what has blown me away and I've been using this non stop for around a month. Its the Algenist Liquid Collagen. This is a patented formula, its Alguronic Acid and Collagen. If I'm not mistaken its a very potent/ true collagen product on the market. This is supposed to give you a difference in 10 days. It's like a liquid to gel consistency and has the yellow capsules in it. So I didn't see results in 10 days but I knew it was a long shot just because luckily my skin doesn't have that much to "smooth out" or combat wrinkles that are already there. However after a month of use.....holy crap. My skin is as smooth as a babys bottom, I love touching my face which isn't good so DON'T DO THAT! My skin is definitely more plumped I have a smooth canvas to work with as far as makeup goes and I contribute it all to the Liquid Collagen. Well done Algenist
Next is something you've seen in my lineups constantly and it's the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm. This is a 50 ML THANK YOU ELEMIS! I have several videos up on how I use it and how it can break down makeup, I'll link them here and here. It's not a solid balm by any means, so it's so easy to get some out but it's not chunky like Emma Hardie or Botanics. Get what I'm saying? Anyway it's great and thank you Preen Me and Elemis for sending all the goodies to me. Juno Facial Oil. I've talked about this before I think it's one of the better if not the best botanical complex serum/oil out because it's packed full of antioxidants. I can tell in a day literally, when I've used it. It worked that fast and by works I mean, it really "feeds" the skin and nurtures it back to good health and the overall complexion is better in general. The good news is that it comes in .5 oz in Juno, Luna, and UFO incase you can't commit to the super high price tag for the full size. I've had mine for a a long time and it's still going strong. Make no mistake the next one I buy will be full sized. First Aid Beauty Vital Greens Face Mist....where has this been all my life? All I have to say is refreshing. Also make a bigger botter FAB ok? That 2 oz business isn't going to cut it. Tatcha Violet C Radiance Mask. It's expensive and it's purple. I think I love it because it's purple. I swear though I reach for it all the time though. It's just pretty. It also is supposed to supply you with Vitamin C as well so I figure that justifies it a bit more. It's not groundbreaking but I really do love it and it's a gentle more hydrating mask for me which is a nice change from detox masks. I use a lot of oils in general but the REN Retinoid Oil is new to me. They were so kind to send out some products and I dove for the Retinoid Oil and really havn't wanted to used anything else but I switch between it and Differin gel. This doesn't make my skin sensitized but it helps my texture, it doens't make my skin go through the terrible flaking phase that most retinoid, retinol, retinoic acids can do. It flaked mildly and then it was fine. My skin like I said it super smooth. Again another balm that I really have been liking is the Darphin Cleansing Balm. This is an entirely different texture from ANY balm I own. It's thicker, it almost feels like a salve, and kinda like a warming salve at that. I find it requires a bit more product than I would like because it's in a 30ml container and it's not cheap but I still really love it. The smell is amazing as is the case with most Darphin Products. Last but not least is the Kate Somerville Goat Milk De-Puffing Eye Balm. I find this just incredibly soothing on the undereye. It's a cooling effect and it's fantastic if your eyes are sensitive or burning from irritation through products, harsh pulling or rubbing on the delicate eye area (because hey it happens). This makes everything better though, no discomfort absolutely lovely.
