I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, I certainly did. It was such a blessing to be with my family and feel well enough to really enjoy the company. It really was a blast. I've not even taken a second look at my presents unless they were food, lol. There was just so much love. So today I wanted to give you my thoughts on a contour/bronzer palette I've been using for over a month I guess. It's the Tarte Princes Ave. Chisel Palette. This has 4 bronzer/contour shades and two highlight shades. Two bronzers have a satin finish and two are matte they all have different undertones as well. The highlight shades are different in undertone as well one is more yellow and one is more pink. I probably will give you swatches on this, even though I don't typically. Just so you can see the pigment and finish. I'm going to go ahead and tell you I love this palette. I don't think it's gonna work for everyone which is unfortunate but I truly love it. I love that there isn't a shimmer highlight, I love that there are legit bronzers in it that has more intense pigment and then the more "contour" shades aren't too cool toned or grey at best they're more of a neutral tone. The highlight shades are just as pigmented and I love setting the under eye with them. There's really no specific brush I have to use with any of these so whatever you feel like doing that day whether it's contour, all over bronzer, a dusting of bronze, setting the under eye or really highlighting, you can do all of that. I'm obsessed with the packaging. It's gold and rose gold snake skin or croc skin? It's gorgeous. I've never been so taken back by packaging. It's also heavy as well. I would feel comfortable traveling with it, I don't find it gets too dirty or that it's hard to clean off. I love it. For me it's a year round palette so when I'm tan I can use it and when I'm pale like right now I can still use it. All that being said I'm going to show you some swatches and then show you some looks I done using this palette specifically. So hopefully you can kinda see the finish of each of these and that they do have quite a bit of pigment. What I really like is the highlighting shades have the same amount of pigment, finish, and pay off so they act the same. The two matte contour/bronze shades have a little less pay off which is great because you can build up and not over do it. The darker ones that have the sheen have a lot of pigment so you can really warm up the whole face with a big fluffy brush. I just love this, and I think it's super easy to use because you can do whatever you want. So in my opinion it's a hit. I got mine at Sephora but it's also available at Ulta.
