VIB Friends and Family Haul

​The sale is over, Christmas is coming up. It's absolute chaos with all the dang sales we're seeing. This year has beat anything I've ever seen Black Friday wise and Holiday sales. I'm not complaining but I gotta pump the breaks. So lets talk about what I did actually pick up for the Friends and Family sale.

I've got to play with most of it so I can actually give you my thoughts on a little of it too.

​First up:

YSL Black Opium Perfume: This little sucker is expensive......and nothing like what it smells like on the cards. You know, one of those peel off situations where you smell it. That smelt great, the card that is. This smells..... ok, but nothing like what I thought. Unfortunately, it's much more "musky" than originally presented before. So I have plenty of things that are musky. I don't need another one. I'll either return it or give it to my mom or someone who would like it.

HUDA Beauty Obsessions Palette: I got the Electric one, that has all the bright shades in it. I love it. I would definitely recommend those in any of the colors. The price is good. You get 9 shades for $27 and it's pretty small but packs a punch. I'm here for it, I'm here for all of them.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Foundation: This is pretty full coverage. It's nice though. It doesn't knock my socks off but there is nothing wrong with it. It's a perfectly fine foundation. It's quite matte and I think that's why it doesn't wow me because I've really been loving a luminous base.

Tarte Aquacealer: This was a weekly special plus an extra 20% off. I LOVE THIS! My under eye area actually does better with a hydrating concealer. This looks really good and has good coverage. It's not very luminous but it doesn't make the under eye look cakey and dry either.

Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Repair Serum: This is to settle your skin down, it does do that. I love using it mainly because it feels very soothing. Not that it feels cooling it just feels soothing to the skin. If you have skin that tends to get irritated I would get this.

Boscia Pink Luminizing Peel Off Mask: This is the same as the black one only it's pink. I totally bought it because it's pink. I use it because it's pink. It does the same thing.

Tom Ford Powder Bronzer in Terra: This isn't bad....but I like my Bareminerals Invisible Bronze better if I'm being honest. It just isn't as much product as I thought it would be for the price and I would say that the Marc Jacobs bronzers especially the coconut, are better and bigger. So this is a pass for me and I think it might be getting returned as well.

Becca Après Ski Glow Collection Eye Lights Palette : This is from the new winter collection this year. I was surprised to see it in the sale section I actually really like it. I know these are marketed as eye shadows but most of the palette is the same shades and names as their highlighters only in eye shadow pans. So my thought is use it for both highlight and eye shadow. I think it would work out well. So far I've not been wrong.

Natasha Denona Joya Palette: I am obsessed with this. Mine came perfect but I know they've had some real issues with packaging. That is unacceptable for the price, so I'm super careful with mine and I won't travel with it but I think it's stunning and there really isn't any fall out. It's a new formula, it's a much better formula, it acts as a cream to powder but it doesn't really feel like a cream. It's the strangest thing. It's been a while since makeup has really stumped me but this has. In the best way possible though. I really love it, I hope she puts out some more 5 pan palettes in this formula in everyday nudes/bronze-y shades or cool toned mauves. I really really love it.

So that is everything. Honestly I was more excited for the Black Friday deals and I've really been loving the Weekly Deals Sephora has been doing.  Even though some of the stuff I've bought has been on my list for a long time and some was just spur of the moment. I'm really only in love with a few things. Next up they will have their $$ off a $50 purchase in January. Depending on what tier you're in decides how much cash you get off. I have some stuff on the list to get with that promotion but they're things I know I'll love and not a "let's see" type of thing.  I might do another haul of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales which is mainly stocking stuffers and little sets nothing too crazy.
