I got a deluxe sample of the new YSL primer they just released. First thing you notice is it has gold flecks in it. Second thing is that it's gel. Third is that it smells AMAZING.
It says the shimmer in it is supposed to illuminate the skin and all that jazz while the primer itself blurs pores and imperfections and the oils that it's made up of make the skin softer without feeling greasy. What I found is you don't really see the gold flecks except one here or there when you put it on, which is fine with me, but kinda defeats it's purpose. It does make the skin feel very soft and it doesn't feel tacky or anything. Most primers are tacky and if you rub too much it can roll up on you. This one really doesn't do that. I love that it's gel formula. I love the scent. I love how soft my skin is when I put it on. I really do like it. I don't think it pro longs the wear of your foundation but it definitely does apply better and smoother.
It's $52 if you buy the entire bottle and even as much as I like it I doubt I'll get it unless I just wanted to splurge. The sample actually has a lot of product in it that will last for a while and I also still really love the Makeup Forever Primers. Plus the fact that the gold in it doesn't really make a difference that I can see thus I don't want to spend that much on primer. That's just me though! It might be revolutionary for some because it is a good product. I'm just happy with what I currently have.
