Once in a while you come into contact with a hero product, a holy grail, a best of the best. It doesn't happen too often but it does happen. I have a new holy grail product to add to the list now! Which is the SOS Dry Mask from The Granola Goat.
You know I love The Granola Goat products so much, I love Liz the owner she's a rock star and my botanical guru. She makes the most simplistic and effective "clean" products I've ever seen. I've never been disappointed by one of her products yet.

I've already wrote this once....and it got deleted. So here I am again. Hope your day is a bit better than mine. This is going to be my favorites lately both makeup and skincare. It's not incredibly long, it's basically not just what I'm loving but also what I've used the most lately.
Keeping with the skincare, lets talk about Exuviance. They have some fantastic and exciting things we're going to be talking about in the next little bit. We're going to go ahead and talk about this one.
So we're talking about the Exuviance Age Reverse HydraFirm moisturizer. I'm going to do things a little different and give you the company claim of the product first. Then talk about my experience. If there is one brand that I use and talk about the most that would probably be JD Glow Cosmetics. They just absolutely blow me out of the water every time and I do not understand why more people aren't talking about them honestly. So let's get into my absolute favorites from this brand.
I though it would be cool to start up an "empties" section on the blog. There's really no better way to see how well someone liked something till you see it getting used up. Also I love watching empty videos on YouTube. This also helps to make me finish up a product not just skip around until they expire. It literally makes me use them up. I think I've got a good amount to talk about right now.
Makeup doesn't have to be fancy. I'm so happy to see the days gone where drugstore makeup really looked atrocious. So glad to not have to go and choose just one thing from the Clinique counter (because it was the least pricey at the time) help your makeup when it really didn't, but we all have that mint green compact didn't we girls? So dang glad to see more affordable brands coming into Sephora and indie brands making a huge impact thanks to online availability. So I compiled a list of my least expensive but favorite products for as many category's as I could. I think I pretty much have them all.
I felt it very appropriate to do a monthly favorites, since I've been on a no buy for the last month. Therefore, I really dug deep in re-trying all my products again and purging the ones that didn't like anymore. It was a very interesting month. I rediscovered the products I really truly loved.
So let's just get into them: I hope you like the shorter blog posts. Some rapid fire favorites....both skincare and makeup related. I'm surprised that I've never listed my favorite false lashes actually. I know I've reviewed several here and there but as far as a top 5 I've not done that. So, I wanted to because I tend to stick with my faves and I literally wear lashes every time I wear makeup.
In the beginning of my blogging and artistry the rage was mink lashes but the faux mink made a big impact. I prefer faux mink. I think they perform better, I don't have issues with taking care of them and getting a lot of wear out of them. The price is way better and they're easier to find. Part 2 of My Favorite Products from 2017 is going to be makeup. I've tried quite a bit of new products and have some clear faves. I always appreciate it when there are clear stand out products that really hold top spot as a favorite.
So we've seen these types of lists everywhere now that we're nearing the end of the year. I personally love hearing people's favorite products. As skincare is probably the majority of my content I'm going to start with it first. Then I'm going to narrow down my makeup faves in another post to make it easier.
I've had a lot of favorites, but I took this list down to the ride or dies. The re-purchases. The recommendations. The stand alone Holy Grail products for myself in 2017. So let's get into it. |
